New Task Bar Control for Yahoo! Music Engi

Thought those of you who use Yahoo! Music Engine would like to check out a free task
bar control for the player. I found this buried in the Yahoo Forums from early July.
I was trying to find a remote that wouldn't shut down everytime I clicked my mouse or
changed a page in Windows. Hope some of you find it useful.

This is just an update on the Task Bar Control. Whenever I had shut down my Yahoo! Music Engine,
after installation of the Task Bar Control, two errors would show.
Today, Yahoo announced a new mandatory upgrade on the Yahoo Music Engine. The new upgrade
went smoothly and now shows no errors when I shut down the application.
Life is good again.

Hello i am having a heck of a time seeing the new mail notification in the task bar(new yellow envelope) how can the envelope be changed back like it was or a different color ?

Unfortunately, that cannot be changed. Are you using the icon in the notification area or large buttons on the taskbar, where the envelope is added to the outlook icon? (It might be easier to see on the blue Outlook icon on the taskbar.)

How to block task bar notification for a specific program?

Hello all. We are rolling out a new web based program that uses a thin client. This thin client checks the server on a regular interval. If it finds a new version of the thin client, there is an alert in the Windows 7 task bar.
The problem with this is it prompts them to install it. But as our users do not have Admin rights, it will fail. Is there a way (GPO perhaps, registry key?) to block just this notification? We do not want to disable all notifications.
We are running Windows 7 SP1 (with a few XP pcs) and Windows 2008 R2 domain level.

This new version installation is pushed by server, such as SCCM. How does it dispatch this update in your domain?
To block this notification, you can configure this setting on server. As for me, you cannot block it in thin cilent.
To know more about how to disable notification, you can redirect to windows server forum.

Lost task bar control

Since upgrading LV from 7.1.1 to 8.0.1, I no longer have control of the Windows task bar while the vi is running. For example, I need to use Windows Explorer or the Start button. Is there a setting for this? The OS is Win XP-Pro.

I'm having trouble with this and find it baffling.
Why am I having this problem now that I've upgraded to version 8.0.1?
If I set FP.State to Minimized or Maximized when the main vi is started, I still do not have access to the task bar.
If I set FP.State to Standard when the main vi is started, the task bar is covered by the main vi front panel. However, this happens only the first time when running the program. Subsequent startings will gain me access to the task bar. So this means that I'm going to have to start the program twice. Also, when set to Standard, the vi toolbar is no longer available after the vi is stopped. Why?
I tried changing the Window Behavior in vi properties (Default, Floating, Modal) to various settings. I normally set it to Default in the main vi and Modal in the subvi's. I also tried to various settings to allow the user to close, resize and minimize the window. Changing these settings does not help.
In short, I need the end user to have access to the task bar while the program is running. This is important because I don't want to shut down the program to gain access to generated reports. (We use Microsoft Report Generation Toolkit). I would also like to not run the program twice to get it working. Is this doable in version 8?

Can you eject ZMP in Yahoo Music Engi

Hi All
I just subscribed to Yahoo Unlimited To Go this weekend and am loving it ... loving trying out new artists/genres.
Anyhow, is there a way to eject my ZMP while in Yahoo Music Engine? That is ... keep the YME running but just eject my ZMP (like iTunes does with the iPod with a nati've eject button in the software)?

Hey, that's great ... thanks so much! I think there would be just too many people who would "pull the plug" too soon from the USB port ... I waited until the line was solid but you just never know with these things ... I think an eject button (or a "right click" option) could alleviate a lot of potential problems. HT1146 missing task bar icon for adding attachments , and it is not in the customize task bar icons, where could it have gone?

I am missing the icon on my taskbar in mail for sending attachments, and it is not in the customize taskbar part of my mail program. Where did it go, or how do I restore it since it is missing??

"The top of the screen" is called the menu bar. It changes, and is based on whichever application is currently selected.
In Mail.app, the attach icon is the paperclip icon that shows in the default icon set of the so-called compse window; when you have requested the creation of a new mail message, or the creation of a reply. In the compose window with the default icons, the attach button is the middle of the five leftmost buttons in the tool bar.
It's quite possible to hide the toolbar entirely (that's controlled from the same pop-up menu as the Customize Toolbar... or can be controlled from the View > Show Toolbar or View > Hide Toolbar within the Mail.app menubar.
To capture an image of the toolbar state (if it's not that the toolbar is hidden, or has been customized), then open Mail.app, create a new (empty) message, and to capture (just) the application display window, press the Command(⌘)-Shift-4 keys as a chord, the cursor will change to a reticule (a cross-hair), place the reticule over the mail application compose window, press the space bar (to highlight the window) and click. This will save a screen shot of just the specified application window into a Screen Shot file (the rest of the name will be the date and time of the screen shot) on your desktop.
Inferring from your references and the terms you are using here, it would appear you might be unfamiliar with OS X and -- if that's the case -- then there's the available Apple Mac 101 introduction that might help clarify the environment.

New Quicktime X controls for web

I'm trying to make my embedded quicktime videos use the latest quicktime X controls.

If you watch the 2nd video you'll see the controls fade in and out when you roll over the movie and use the latest version of quicktime. Instead of the old version which has the bar at the bottom at all times.

Very complex javascript code does the fancy voodoo.

I hate the new version of firefox for yahoo because I can only go back 1 page at a time. It's horrible for the game Farmville on facebook. How can I get my old version back?

Flash based player for Yahoo Music Unlimit

When will we see one? It would be nice if it also has at least 2 gigs of storage, or one gig of storage and a compact flash slot for adding a memory card.

I'd have gone for a flash-dri've model if there was one that was subscription-compatible. I think SSR is right as to current models, but the next generation may be different. They have successfully put MTP in smartphones and PDA's that have only flash memory; it's only natural to put it in flash players too.
I suspect the problem is more that it takes a certain level of investment to develop MTP devices at this point, and that's more likely with hard-dri've players than flash players. Moore's Law virtually guarantees it'll make it down to the flash players someday.

If you are referring to editing your payment method, you can do this on your iPod touch.
Tap Settings > Store > Use Existing Apple ID and sign in.
That should take you the Account Setttings window where you can change your payment type.

Thanks for your solution, it wasn't quite what solved the problem but i remembered that i had a bit of salt water on my phone recently and spraying the charging port with an anti-oxide spray solved my problem, do you mind if i ask, how is the charging port related with the volume or/and speakers?

firefox tells me it has broken the link that creates task / menu bars. I've uninstalled & reinstalled. Everytime I built new task bars through internet, Firefox crashes on me. Help please.

Task bar pinning

My task bar button for Firefox on Windows7 vanishes when I open Firefox which makes opening multiple windows a pain. How do I keep a button always on the taskbar? Explorer does it.
