New templates

Does anyone know of any templates for pages other than those supplied with iPad and mac

Check the iTunes app store for IOS, and the OS X app store for Mac. Make certain the templates are advertised as compatible with the specific version of Pages that you are using on either platform.
I emphasize the previous because IOS Pages v2.1 and OS X Pages v5.+ introduced document incompatibilities with previous versions of these Pages applications. In the OS X case, there are about 100+ less features and functionality that will break some templates that expect Pages ’09 v4.3 functionality.

  • How to create a new Template from an Excisting Template

    Dear Sir,
We already have one Template defined for creating the new Projects .  We need to create a New Template and for this we want to used the existing Template and will incorporate the required changes into it only .
Kindly guide us as what procedure need to be followed to create a New Template by using an existing base Template .

    Hi,
In your new template you have copied only standard WBS. For the activities to be copied, you need to assign that created Std. WBS in Std. Network using CN02.
Input the Std.WBS in the Std. Network in CN02 and check if activities are also created in the network. In the Std. Network change screen press F6, and input Std. WBS in the header data details.
Else, you can create a new std. Network using CN01 and create the activties also in the same and follow the above.
Then try creating new project in CJ20N.

  • How Do I Create a New Template for iBooks Author?

Apple's provided templates are way too narrow for some of the ideas I want to implement. I do not see any real method for creating a template from scratch. I stripped one of the available templates down to nothing and rebuilt some of the pages and then selected Save As Template... but iBooks Author keeps the original template as the content instead of allowing me to use my own created Chapter, Section, and Pages with the Add Pages.. Button.
How to you create a new template from scratch? I think it is absurd if you can only create a new template from one of the 6 predefined templates.

Si vous avez utilisé la commande Save As Template depuis Pages, il y a forcément un dossier
    iWork > Pages
    contenant Templates > My Templates
comme il y a un dossier
    iWork > Numbers
    contenant Templates > My Templates

  • HT202879 I would like to have a spreadsheet editing software for my new Template Numbers Pro but my operating system is 10.7.  Are there other editing software programs (less the 10.9) that can work with this app?

    Hi,
I am looking for some editing software for my new Template Numbers Pro.  Numbers is 10.9, my computer is only 10.7.  What do you suggest?

That is good to know.  Frankly I don't know what kind of machine I have.  I have a Mac OSX Lion 10.7.3 early 2008.
If it's the "Templates for Numbers Pro" on the Mac App Store then you need OSX 10.7 or later.  You'll need iWork '09 or later.
It looks as if you want to use the iOS version of the same templates then you will need the latest Numbers there.  And if you use the latest Numbers there and want to sync to the Mac, you'll need to have Mavericks and Numbers 3.

  • Applying a New Template to a Page with Tabs

    Hi,
We use page templates for our pages. We know that you cannot add a region to a page based on a template, but supposedly you can add tabs to a page based on a template.
One template we have has a single tab on it. The web designers have been adding content to pages built on that template. When they need another tab, they add it and add content to the new region on the tab. They may do this until there are 4 tabs on the page (the original tab that is in the template, plus three additional tabs). We use this for example to collect links to memos and to divide the links onto 4 tabs representing calendar quarters.
One of the problems with this process is that the web designers have not been consistent in using uniform definitions for the region on each tab causing an inconsistent look-and-feel from one tab to the next.
I have created a new template with 4 tabs already defined and with the region properties already defined. The web designers can then add content as needed and if a tab is not required it can be marked as hidden.
The problem that I am running into is that if I try to apply the new template to an existing page, I get the following error message:
Error: ORA-00001: unique constraint (PORTAL.WWV_THINGS_NAME_UK) violated
Also, consistently the content from the original first tab is lost and there is no corresponding tab on the reformatted page. Content on the second tab appears to be OK, but content on the third tab is missing. Content on the fourth tab appears to be OK.
Can anyone tell me 1. what is specifically causing the error message, and 2. is it possible to do what I want to do or will all of these pages have to be recreated manually instead of changing the templates.?
    Thanks,
    Peter

You should be able to do what you are trying to do. You seem to be running into a bug. Please file this with support if possible. Based on the error message, you seem to be running into a case of duplicate names, on either items or tabs. What you might try doing is renaming the tabs, ensuring uniqueness, before changing templates. By "renaming", I mean changing the NAME of the tab, not the Display Name, by clicking Edit Tab in edit mode. Does this help at all?

  • ADRMS Server 2012 with exchange 2010, I have created some new templates, they are showing up in owa but not Outlook 2013

I cannot figure out why my templates do not show up in Outlook, when I manually update the AD RMS task scheduler to run the templates get pulled and placed into the C:\Users\%%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\DRM\Templates
but when I launch outlook they are not displayed.
Has anyone encountered this type of problem before?

    Hi,
Generally, the default Outlook Templates (.oft) is located in drive:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates.
Firstly, please make sure the Templates have been located in the C:\Users\%%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\DRM\Templates path of your local machine. If it is there, please copy and paste the new Templates to the default Outlook Templates location.
Then we can right-click the Folder to select Properties in Outlook, and click dropdown next to "When posting to this folder, use:" and select the custom template form in the list. For more information about Outlook Templates, please refer to:

  • Any NEW Templates in Updates? Looking for Christmas/Thanks Giving Templates

    For a newsletter.
Haven't done any updates for a while. Last update was iphoto to see what new templates they had. Seemed fine, you can still print but know I guess you can have them made for $1.99, but that is a different topic.
    Thanks!

By Universal Template I mean one which includes the formatting we want, but is not tied to the graphics so much. One which has the paragraph styles easily named, set or renamed (so the pages can be shared with other publications) and the Character Styles the same. Captured pages would include all varieties needed for a newsletter/resume/document of any kind, all in one Universal Template.
While unpopulated for graphics (yet makes it easier to place your own due to formatting) one can easily change the look and feel of an entire set of documents by accessing and altering one document. To be honest the only changes one should need to make when beginning or saving a template is what order the pages are in. When saving a resume template one can start with a collection of the various styles of resume letters. When saving a Newsletter template one can concentrate on those pages which pertain to newsletters.
Currently some newsletters have six pages, some have eight or nine and one even has ten. (Redwood is the most complete). The Extreme template is perhaps the most adventurous in that it uses a variation of shapes for columns, pages and photos. It includes a Magazine Cover so you can see how easy it is to include different starting popints for your use of the document.
When I created the Rounded Corner Photoframes there were thirteen in each of two templates (portrait and landscape), and most were identical with variations of the photos being used. That's some being used for right and left sides of the sheet. I have made an experimental one which included 27, trying to account for all variations of columns and uses. (I have several dozen unfinished products and experiments I cannot release yet because I don't know the direction Pages is going to take in the next version.)
If you look at the Apple templates they are almost all identical within their formats (newsletter, brochure, letter) with the only variations changing being the graphics used, the fonts, and the layout of margins all determined by the topic of the example document. In short, they are examples of newsletters and such that you can create and by being such readily avilable examlpes they have become pretty much copied and reused by those in a hurry.
That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it has become limiting in how many are being shared. It's a complicated process to create a template for sharing They begin to look the same when they all start from the same starting point. I have decided to concentrate on the graphic resources that one can populate a blank document with. To do that I must have a Universal Temlplate that people can start with. One that I can include with the resource packs so you can have a decent idea of how those resources can be used.
I started that with the PagesPlus magazine concept released two months after Pages first came out. That's when I realised there was going to be no real market for templates within the Pages user community. It would never be as vibrant as the community for Keynote themes.
I think an important part of that is that people do not create a template and then build a document. They build a document. I doubt if people are actually creating templates (build pages, separate them, capture them, save template) as much as they are buildign documents they are using. Once you work on a newsletter for a specific month or topic, the chances of you reusing it may be quite slim. The chances of you sharing it as an 'empty' (meaning populated with generic text and generic photos) template that people can reorganize and populate with their own stuff is even slimmer.
I'm not saying that there aren't a pantheon of useful templates for Pages. I am saying that there is a severe lack of creative templates for pages. It comes from all the steps involved in making it usable by others without showcasing only your own talents and content. The goal behind the Universal Template is to give people a more anonymous starting point to begin those creative templates.
Pardon my ignorance, but I'm curious what you mean by a "truly universal style of template". Do you mean a template localised for various languages?
Localization for languages is something most people cannot take the time to do. This is necessary for identifying the various elements used (mostly the paragraph styles, and examples used in the basic template design. Words such as 'Family' or 'Photo'.) but it is unnecessary for the basic 'feel' of the template, and the intuitive understanding that this is how it you should use it. After creating a template based on two simple types of layouts, but created for two different paper sizes (all of a sudden blossoming to four different templates) I realized that Apple deserves a rgeat deal of respect for the amount of work that obviously goes into creating a product for several dozen languages, each containing 66 different templates.
Kudos to your team, Apple. (Now make it so we can set up the pages we can use, lock them in place, and let our text flow through as we complete our masterpieces.)

  • Creating new template using existing template

Is anyone aware of a way to create a new project template using an existing template? I am testing a few scenarios and want to quickly be able to create a template without setting one up from scratch.
I tried a few ways but could not find a way to do this - you can only create a project using a template, not another template.
    Thanks,
    Sachin

    Hi,
Find the template from setup->Projects->Templates and use copyto , new template will be created from existing one.

  • What is the quickest way to incorporate a new template's styles into an existing template?

Recently my company have developed a new template. I am creating a document using much content which already exists in an older template with different paragraph styles, table formats and page formats. What is the quickest way to incorporate the new styles so I don't have to individually update the table contents. The paragraph catelog and tables have different titles in the two documents.
    Thanks,
    Niall.

Do you know where I can find a copy of Template Mapper? I went to http://ig5authoringtools.com/plugin-directory/single-sourcing/templatemapper/ and it is not there.

  • New Template In Test - Take a peek

I've just completed the prep of a new template I've named Aerolite. This puppy sports a pretty sophisticated nav bar for what we've seen in iWeb before. I was really pleased with the way it turned out.
    Demo site here: http://web.mac.com/sboben/iWeb/Aerolite/
Features: Fully ghost-texted, Blog was setup to be the home/welcome page, includes a number of different photo gallery index pages and alternate photo pages, pages in light and dark backgrounds, calendars, separate events blog. There is a standard podcast page, I'm just not showing it in the demo. Looks similar to the blog.
I have a couple of fixes I have to do - like the nav bar font on a couple pages. I accidentally did a mass replace on a font and changed the nav font from Lucida Grande to Verdana - oops. I'm also assessing the usability of the calendars - pretty slow to load. Other than that, it's nearly issue free out the gates.
Let me know what you think - I'll make changes before I release this if enough people ask for something.
    Suzanne

    Dear SBOBEN,
I am a beginner just learning to walk and just today tweaked my website again, so my mind is fertile ground for any way in which I can expand my iWebsite horizon without having a high learning curve.
What I saw when I clicked onto your URL was interesting and I know from looking earlier at your 11Mystics site that you are basically a person who makes templates etc to improve, change, alter, iWebsites and make them visually more interesting while keeping all of the simplicity of iWeb.
I wish you could explain what this is because although I don't know the full impact of what you wrote in your post, I DO know that you come fully recommended among those people here who recognize good work. So, could you please explain this, not just to the pros here who know every amazing thing you did on a template, but to people like me who are new (I began July '06) and thirsty? I am sure that much of your finesse has gone totally over my eyebrows and I would appreciate an explanation so much.
One thing I know that I want right now is: buttons. I want rectangular, square edged buttons for my Continued, Go to, Return to, pages. I know that professionally made buttons would improve the look of my pages.
But mainly, could you explain what it is that you are doing? I would appreciate that so much. Thank you.

  • Applying a new template to entire site?

Is there an easy way to apply a new template to the entire
site? I created a new template and I can open each page
individually and click MODIFY/TEMPLATES/APPLY TEMPLATE TO PAGE but
there has to be an easier way to apply the new template to the
entire site without having to open every single page in the
    site.

That would be true ONLY on pages that are already child pages
    of templates.
Try it on a page that is not a child page, but that has
    existing content.
This is what the OP was asking.
