.... New thing about Menu bar

well ppl
I hve created the new Menu bar and wrote code behind one of the Menu item like..
Go_Block(Block1)
It works..
Then i wrote code
declar
begin
select stcity into a from site where st_id = :Site.txtstid;
it says. bad bind variable.. txtstid..
it shows that i think we cannot write code behind menu as we did behind button..
becasue this code is working perfectly behind buttons..
Any suggestion are welcomed.. plz ..
Thnx alot

Hello,
Within menus and libraries, you have to use the NAME_IN() and COPY() built-ins.

  • New ITunes hides menu bar

I foolishly downloaded the new ITunes when I received a message that there was a new version to update. Now that I've done it, my ITunes has a gray bar across the top of the display. That would be ok except that it covers up all of the drop-down menu commands. So I can't click on things like "update my Ipod," "Help" or anything else. How can I get my access to the ITunes menu bar?

    hi Sandra!
Thanks for the help in fixing this prob!
(puzzled look) is that ironic comment, or did you get some help off in another thread?
the symptoms you're describing are usually associated with having the mutli itunes-plugin installed on a PC.

  • New icon in menu bar

    Hi Everyone...
An icon I never noticed before has just appeared in the right side of the menu bar, just to the left of the battery and Bluetooth icons. It's a phone receiver over two rows of keyboard keys (4 in top row, 3 in bottom). Can't find any info about it anywhere--can anyone suggest what this icon might be? Thanks in advance.

It's TTY (telephony device for the hearing-impaired). Toggle it OFF in Settings > Phone > TTY.

  • About menu bars

Actuaaly i had further implementted Menubar can say Jmenubar class painted it's border curved but the problem is menu are alway's starting from the left corner of the menu bar i wuold like it should be added leaving some spaces from left so that curved edges can be seen na it looks good can u help me

    Haven't tried this but,
    JMenuBar is a JComponent
    JComponent has a setBorder() method.
Try adding an EmptyBorder to the JMenuBar. You can specify the top/bottom/left/right insets used when creating an EmptyBorder.

  • New thing about the whine...very very strange

    Hi Guys,
I also have the whine and I use the mirror widget to stop it. I've recently noticed that if I run i-movie-hd the wine suddendly restars. Probably i-movie cheks the usb ports for devices but also the integrated i-sigth is connected by usb so I think that the problem is in same menner related to the usb ports.
Let me know what you guys think!
    luiss

"This has nothing to do with the "whine" at all. This has to do with properly closing applications, and when you close imovie, the widget closes too."
    wow nice attitude.
thing is, bob, that when you open the mirror widget, the whine goes away. when you close the mirror widget, the whine does NOT come back.
so this is interesting. it means that imovie properly releases the resources used by the camera, and causes the whine to return.
it's not earth shattering, but it does prove the existance of the bug in the mirror widget.
    i found this interesting

downloaded the new version of firefox and the new drop down menu bar that has file, edit, view and history, stuff like that is still there. i have what looks like a broken photo or missing picture square

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

  • Question: My spry menu bar is not displaying correctly in Dreamweaver

    Hello,
I am  new to Dreamweaver CS5, so coding isn't my area of expertise. My problem with my spry menu bar is that it does not display the tabs on the menu bar correctly. When I try to apply new changes to the CSS of the horizontal menu bar, half of the tabs will change and the other half will not. Also, I am unable to drag and move the menu bar itself around, a function that I was once able to do before. At times, only one tab of the menu bar will display itself, without any of the other tabs as well.
I have a hunch that my problems stem from some coding errors in the SpryMenuBarHorizontal.css, and possibly in the SpryMenuBar.js. On the CSS Styles panel, my SpryMenuBarHorizontal.CSS list reads as follows:
I also have a hunch that something about this line-up is also incorrect, but I don't exactly know what the problem is.

    SpryMenuBar.js
This file handles the JavaScript for Spry Menu Bar.  You should have no need
to edit this file.  Some highlights of the MenuBar object is that timers are
used to keep submenus from showing up until the user has hovered over the parent
menu item for some time, as well as a timer for when they leave a submenu to keep
showing that submenu until the timer fires.

If anyone could possibly steer me on the right direction with this, I'd be very grateful! I've been struggling with this for about a month now and I feel like I may have only made the situation worse.
I'm not sure if I have to keep making a new spry assets folder in my website or not or if I have to drag and drop the spry assets into the root folder. I have restarted my website over at least a dozen times by now. I have tried changing folders, dragging and dropping various spry assets folders everywhere and I have also uninstalled and reinstalled my copy of Dreamweaver CS5 in the hopes of getting my spry horizontal menu bar to act normal. I am completely new at Dreamweaver and I really, really need some help with this.
    Thanks!

I haven't been able to get my site posted up yet. Here is a link to it anyway:andrearosales.com
I will be working on connecting my files up to my server. At the moment, here are some screen shots of some messages that I am getting when I am saving my file.
I'm not sure what to make of these messages. I tried to put a new spry horizontal menu bar on my main page, and when it appeared, it displayed as a spry vertical menu bar.
Here is a picture of what it looks like:
I"m going to refer to the links that were suggested to me though. I'm not sure if pictures of the code will help to solve my problem. I'm going to try again to connect my files to my server though.

  • 10.9.3 Menu Bar Problem

Since the new update, my menu bar at the top of the screen is missing the icons.  I can still rollover the bar to get drop downs on WiFi, battery life, etc., but their icons are missing.  Safari is having the same issue.  The back, forward, etc. buttons are all there but the icons are missing.  Not a big deal, to be honest, but when I tried to print from OpenOffice, it crashed.  It functions completely fine otherwise.  Any help would be welcome.  Thank you.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
    Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

  • How can I disable the menu bar to pop up when I move the cursor to the top of the screen?

    Greetings, guys!
I'm completely new to Os X.
I want to know if the menu bar can be disabled not to appear when moving to the screen top.
It unnecessarily appears when I play a shooting game like Contract Killer in Full-screen Mode, in which I occasionally happen to move the cursor to the top.
    Thank you...

There are 2 Fullscreen modes for some games. And some games only use 1 of them. The usual Fullscreen that you'd expect, and the one we call "Borderless Window".
The classic Fullscreen utilizes all your display and things like menu bar, OSD's, "Always On Top" windows won't pop up while you are playing. But the Borderless Window is just a window that has the same resolution and dimensions with your desktop, and has no borders. Other elements like menu bars, OSD's and "Always stay on top" windows can get into your way while playing. And it's also slower than the classic fullscreen.
Check if your game offers any option of selecting between these 2 Fullscreen Modes, and select the classic fullscreen mode.

  • Menu bar in ALV OOPS

    HI All ,
I am using the method SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY of class CL_GUI_ALV_GRID  for a report program . In the Menu bar I
have  SYSTEM and HELP  by default
But in  REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY  in Menu bar we have LIST  EDIT GOTO SETTINGS other than SYSTEM and HELP  by default
Please let me know how to replicate the same Menu Bar into the CL_GUI_ALV_GRID .
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Its seems like you are using the pf-status 'MAIN'.
Use the PF status 'STANDARD' instead. If you want to customize your gui status follow the steps below
    1. Go to SE41,
    2. Give the program name as SAPLKKBL and status as STANDARD.
    3. Now click on the copy status button on the application toolbar
    4. Provide your program name and a custom gui status name.
    5. you can add or remove things in menu bar, application tool bar and function keys, change function codes etc.
    Use that in the program.
    Hope that helps.

  • Bug? Menu Bar Not Accessible in Safari After Watching Full Screen Video

    Hi everyone,
I have had this Not accessible menu bar problem time to time while using Safari, and I finally figured out what caused it. It always happens right after you go to a full screen video mode, and then get back out, and now when you move the mouse curser to the top, menu bar doesn't show. Then a way to fix is by using the 4 finger gesture to go back to the desktop screen, and come back to safari (not too fast) and menu bar is again accessible. Why is apple not fixing this bugs? I have seen more thread about menu bar gone, so it's not just me.

    QuickTimeKirk wrote:
Hit the escape key to exit full screen.
That may be a "works as expected/designed," but once you've exited Full Screen View, then reenter Full Screen View and play a video in full screen mode, the window switches out of Full Screen to display the video in full screen video mode. It doesn't stay in Full Screen view, like it is the first time around.
    EDIT:
Esc exits full screen video mode, but you still cannot access the slide-out menu bar with the button. Repeatedly pressing Esc does not exit Full Screen View, either. This only appears on the first invocation of Full Screen view and video mode. Once you exit Full Screen, the window behaves differently.
Note that we have determined this is only affected by HTML5 video. I have to do some more testing to figure out if it is ClickToPlugin that is causing the issue.
What's a good source for straight HTML5 video?

  • How can I turn off auto-hide menu bar in Terminal app?

This is soooo anoying.   Open terminal app in fullscreen mode, open a few tabs, now when you move your mouse to the top to click on a new tab, the menu bar shows itself and covers the tabs.
I want to turn off this feature to auto-hide the menu bar.  I would much rather have it move all the tabs down a bit when the menu bar apprears.
Any ideas to help fix the issue?

Can't turn that off. It's a feature of full screen mode. If you place your mouse at the bottom of the tab you want to select, the Terminal Menu bar doesn't pop up for me.

  • Can't get the default spry drop down menu bar ??

Every time I create a new drop down menu bar it comes up with one that has the same properties as the last one I created. And I can't fix that last one. I'd like to start over but DW won't let me. Help?

If you are trying to insert a new menu bar with different properties than the last, for instance when you want to start over with a fresh styling approach, remember that the menubar css file will apply to all menus in the site, unless you distinguish the menus with an id on the containing element (div).
Go ahead and delete the old css file from the SpryAssets folder, if you want to start over. When you insert the new menubar, a new css file will also be installed.
You might find it useful to keep on hand (in a separate folder, out of the site folder) a 'clean' and new menubar css file, for use troubleshooting (by comparing the original with your edited version) or for copying into the site in this kind of situation. But if all  you want is a new original copy, just following my suggestion above will work.

Safari problem:  when I switch back into safari from another application, the menu bar comes up but no tabs or windows.  What's going on?  Just started yesterday.  I have found a workaround: when I Command Tab back to safari, I hit command T to open a new tab and Command W to close it, and my other tabs are visible.
I have tried shutting down, closing tabs, with no success.  What's going on and how can I fix it?
    Thanks,

PS:  I'm not sure of the actual OS level, but I have not allowed it to upgrade to Maverick yet; concerned about it because of a few things I've read...

A Safari extension or third party plugin may be causing the menu bar issue.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect:  Allow plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.
As for which OS X is installed.
Click the Apple () menu top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac.
    The version is noted there.
v10.6 Snow Leopard v10.7 Lion  v10.8 Mountain Lion
It's your choice whether or not to upgrade to Mavericks. If you decide to do this, make sure your Mac meets the requirements noted here.

  • I am unable to open any applications and the top menu bar (while everything else freezes) disappears about a minute after powering on my macbook.

A little while back, I attempted to write files to a disk, and then my computer went to a screen that I remember looking similar to thishttp://i44.tinypic.com/mheyy1.jpg After going in to speak with apple, they tried to reset specific settings and ended up erasing the majority of the files on my computer. After all this, my computer began to function terribly and finder would not respond. I did a software update just now and upon doing so my menu bar at the top of the screen is visible only for a moment before disappearing. When I try to open any application, the icon turns to a TXT icon and will not open. I am unable to do much of anything on my macbook right now. Thanks for your help!

These files were lost two years ago.
That's not consistent with what you wrote in your first message. I can't help you unless I know what's going on. Either you do, or do not, have backups of all the data you want to keep. If you do not, then the first thing you need to do is back up those files. It makes zero sense to do anything else. In order to back up, you'll need either of two things: another Mac, in working order, with a FireWire port and enough space on its internal drive to hold your files; or an external drive, also with enough space.
On the other hand, if you do have backups, or if you simply don't care about any of the data, then the solution to your problem may be quite simple. All you have to do is boot from your installation disc (your profile says you're running Mac OS 10.5), erase your internal drive, reinstall the Mac OS, then restore your data from backup. You will need to be selective in restoring software, because incompatible software may be what caused the issue.
But it's also possible that you have a hardware failure, in which case you can't get your computer working again until it's repaired.
