NEW TLD's NOT RECOGNISED

Hi,
I have a new TLD domain name which does not contain the traditional /com extension. In fact my extension is just .media When attempting to put this into a form widget for example so that it links it appears that Adobe Muse does not recognise it as a valid email address or domain.
Anyone having the same problem_ If so would really appreciate a heads up.

  • HT1349 The serial number on my new macbook is not recognised

I have just bought a new 13" Macbook Pro from Sydney Duty Free and have tried to register my Applecare Protection. It says my serial number is not recognised. I have called Apple support and they could not help me.

Wait a few more days until the database is updated.

  • Bug report: new TLDs do not highlight as links

Typing in a URL such as http://example.website or http://example.london does not highlight it as a link. The regex you use should be more permissive for URLs; not everything is .com/.org/etc.

This got fixed, was working for a couple of months, and now has stopped working again.
Has support for new TLDs been removed deliberately, or was this just an oversight?
Oh, sorry, I didn't read the thread hierarchy title... I was talking about the Windows version not the Mac version, although for all I know the same applies there.

  • How do I add a new camera so I can still shoot in RAW? my new camera is not recognised.

Hi! I have Photoshop Elements 11 and I started with a Canon 1000D, I was able to shoot in raw, then convert my images to JPEG for sharing.
I have since upgraded cameras and when I upload a RAW file off my camera card, it immediately makes a copy of the photo in JPEG and I can only access that one, the program tells me that my camera is not recognised by PSE 11.
Can somebody please direct me to the right location to change the camera model, so that I can once again shoot in RAW?
    Thank you!!

Which camera are the camera raw files from?
Which operating system are you using?

  • New iPod Classic not recognised by Windows 8.1 or latest iTunes

I have a brand new iPod classic and have just made several playlists on iTunes.
As a sidenote, I am due to have a baby in one week and bought the iPod just for the hospital stay so I am getting extremely frustrated!
My computer is running Windows 8.1and recognises my iPhone and iPad Air but will not connect the iPod Classic.
When plugged in, it makes that little musical sound to say an item has been connected then nothing.
It does not register in 'My Computer' or on iTunes.
The iPod says "Connected. Eject before disconnecting". I don't get the iPod sad face or the exclamatuion mark.
I have reinstalled iTunes, the one time it registered the iPod was when I plugged in the iPad Air (iPod was no longer plugged in) and wanted me to restore the iPod, which it was still attempting to do 7 hours later (I did plug the iPod back in for this)!
Any suggestions would be super as I have now spent about 5 hours more on this than I would have liked to and about 10 hours more on this than I should have.
    Thanks

  • New Internal Superdrive not recognised unless disc inserted at boot.

I've just replaced my non-working internal Superdrive in my 2009 Mac Mini / 10.8.4. The old one wouldn't reliably read all discs, even after cleaning the lense, so I picked up a Toshiba TS-T633PN for a low price as a replacement.
This isn't a standard Apple issue drive, but I thought what the heck, it's SATA so what could go wrong? Hmm, it seems it will only be recognised by OS X if there's a disc in it at boot time. Otherwise it either shows up incorrectly in System Information, or not at all, and either way if I insert a disc nothing shows up in Finder.
If I boot with a disc present (any disc - data or video)  then it works fine except that it's not always reliable when it comes to ejecting discs. Sometimes when I eject it, the disc unmounts but doesn't pop out of the drive. I have to run drutil eject from Terminal to get it to eject.
When eject fails I can see the following in /var/log/system.log:
Jun 23 13:42:17 macmini kernel[0]: SerialATAPI device reconfiguration did not complete successfully.  (failedCommandInfo = 0x1)
Before I go and try it in an external USB enclosure, has anybody got any suggestions as to how I can make this work reliably?

From what i can tell this drive, though a SATA and the same size, is not compatible with Mac. The hardware works but the firmware is not made for/compatible with OS X. This can certainly cause the behavior you described. You can look for tools to flash the drive's firmware but as it is new i'd return the drive, get a refund and purchase a compatible model. macsales.com has them as do many other sites, just make sure it mentions Mac compatibility. Personally, depending on your needs of course, i'd put the money towards an external Blu Ray player/burner. If storing large amounts of data and/or blu ray movies are a concern then it is well worth the few extra bucks.

  • New iPad device not recognised

Bought new iPad for son's birthday. Device not showing in iTunes and not charging. Tried several computers and another cable. Tried troubleshooting and deed dive in iPad troubleshooting manual. What is going on? I think this is faulty and just came out of box. Will Apple replace straight away as faulty? Any suggestions as I have dissapointed son.

Further to this, I have reloaded iTunes to latest version (was always latest version); restarted computer. Even plugged my other iPad in and it worked with cables - no problems with old iPad.

  • IPOD New Software - iPOD Not Recognised.

Today I successfully updated iTunes as I have done many times and this seems to have worked OK. However, for the first time I was prompted to update my iPOD software as well. After several of the usual green bars I was told that the update was successful but everything then just hung for a long time (most of a one day cricket match!!! and that is a looong time). Closed down iTunes and pulled the plug. Then iPOD didn't work at all. I have tried reloading iTunes and restoring iPOD but the same happens. Now iTUNES won't even recognise that my iPOD exists although it appears as a removable drive (not an iPOD) in Windows Explorer. Anybody out there have any ideas. I have pretty much exhausted all the Support suggestions.

Thanks for the interest Vic. I had already gone through all of the 5 stages from this support page but the restore stage seems to have left my iPod in a damaged state. Occasionally iTunes recognises this and offers to go through restore again but then hangs afterwards. The odd thing is that before, Windows recognised it as an iPod but now just calls it a removable disk. This is currently the only way I can unplug it. IPod seems to operate as normal but obviously is less useful with nothing in it! Any further ideas would be really appreciated.

  • New Macbook does not recognise Airport Express

    Hello -
My new Macbook doesn't seem to see my Airport express despite rebooting and resetting the Airport Extreme and Express hardware.
Can anyone advise me what might be going wrong please?
    Many thanks..

Thank you. I have finally got Airport Utility to recognise the Airport Express.
In the next step (when i select the Airport Express station) it asks me if i want to switch wireless networks and issues the following warning:
Setting up this Apple wireless device requires switching wireless networks. Switching wireless networks may interrupt your connection to the Internet.
What do I do? I still want Airport Extreme to work. I just want Express to work with it.
I'd be very grateful if you could offer any advice.
    Thanks...

  • Moved home - new line installed not recognised as ...

Hi. My new line was installed at my new house last week. The phone is now working and showing on my online account but when it comes to order broadband it shows as not being a BT line so I am not able to place an order. Is their a simple reason for this or is it something that needs looking into as I use broadband for both home and work and would like to order as soon as possible.

If its a new line, it may not be on the order system yet.
    If everything else fails then.

  • New internal harddrive not recognised by macbook!

    Hi,
Sorry to make a new thread on the subject but I've looked around the web and whilst finding similar threads I havnt found an answer to help me so any advise would be much appreciated!
I’ve got a macbook A1181 2.16ghz core 2 duo built in 2007. I got the harddrive replaced in early 2010 when it failed (clicking noise etc) at the Apple store where they replaced the original with a Hitachi 160gb 5400 rpm.
Recently this hdd failed too (clicking noise etc). I’ve got a back up on the time machine on an external hdd so getting data back shouldn't be a problem.
Rather than go to the Apple store again (seeing as they stopped giving outhdds early 2011) I thought I’d buy and replace my own hdd. I bought a WD Scorpio Blue 320gb WD3200BPVT after reading many reviews and forums etc.
I followed the instructions on the Apple pdf guide to replacing hdds, booted up the macbook with the snow leopard disk (I don’t have any other system disks) but I can’t install Snow Leopard or even erase/format the hdd as disk utility wont recognise the hdd, only the disk (dvd/optical) drive.
Starting to lose hope as to what to do (aside from forking out a lot of cash on a new macbook), any help or advise would be much appreciated! Just want to get my mac working again
    Thanks in advance

Also, just thought I'd ask again but has anyone successfully replaced the harddrive in a macbook of same age and model and if so, what make and model of harddrive?
I did one on a 2009 Macbook; OWC (macsales.com) has excellent how-to videos on their site; they also carry hard drives, RAM, etc. and speak Mac. I believe they ship internationally - you can check on that.
Here is the link to the how to:

(scroll down; yours should be the white/black Macbook?)

  • New ipod nano not recognised

ok, so just bought new ipod (7th generation) nano. All excited when it came, plugged it into and it says on my itunes that "an ipod has been detected but could not be identified properly, please disconnect then reconnect and try again" so obviously i did that. Didn't work. Tried all 3 of my other usb ports. Didn't work. Looked online and followed all the steps (restarting computer, updating windows, checking my usb ports, resetting ipod, and reinstalling itunes. none of this worked!! Really annoyed as I am wanting to use my new nano as my last one is literally dying! (hold button doesn't even work in my old one!)
any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Could be an issue with the new lighting cable as others have reported similar problems. Does it connect with another PC or Mac running iTunes?
If nothing else, I would recommend returning the iPod for a replacement as soon as possible.

  • My new iMac does not recognise an iso image of windows install disk in boot camp

I have the iso file for win7 64bit but when I run bootcamp I do not get the option to use a USB stick, so loaded the file onto a DVD-R disk.
When I load the disc the iMac tries to read it then stops and asks to me to put the disk in.
I am logged in to the machine as the administrator.
As a registered MSDN member I downloaded the iso file direct from the Microsoft MSDN website only a couple of weeks ago.
Any asisstance will be most appreciated, as I am a Mac newby and I really want to dump my old windows laptop and desktop machines1

Hi I'd recommend re-posting in the Boot Camp forum, that is where the Boot Camp & Windows guru's hang out.
