New to AS3 - URL Function not working...please help!
Hi i'm very new to Flash and AS3. I've created a clip and need to link some buttons to some pages on my site but they don't seem to work. Please let me know if nyone can help me...below is my code:
b_1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,b_1ClickHandler);
function b_1ClickHandler(e:MouseEvent)
navigateToURL(newURLRequest("http://www.MYURL.com/.html"),"_self");
Please let me know what i'm doing wrong.

If you are editing/testing in the Flash editor, the html end of things is nothing to be concerned about at this stage, and will likely take care of itself when it comes time.
So you run the file in Flash and do not get any error messages? Then place a trace command inside the button's event handler function to see if the button is communicating with it....

trace("button works");
navigateToURL(new URLRequest("http://www.MYURL.com/.html"),"_self");
Also, I'm just noticing you don't have an actual file named in the url, so in case the "not working" is that you can't get the desired page to show, that may be the cause. Normally I would suggest testing url links online rather than in Flash because it's iffy to try to get the web involved with the editor at times.

Functions not working please help
Hi Guys, well here it is:
I've been working with flash for a very long time both in as2 and 3 I recently had to re-visit a project in as2 and found something odd.
When I create a movie clip with a name: box_mc and inside I have a function ex:
function go()
trace("go has been activated")
once I go back to the root and call the function like so:
box_mc.go();
nothing happens. It has me totally stumped as I'm sure I've done this a million times what's up what is wrong.
Please help I'm going crazy, is it a setting?I'm such an idiot, thanks a lot. Haven't done timeline animations in a while.

Unfortunately on these days I'm in a country that Apple don't have any retail store here and for sake of time I prefer to fix it myself to DHL it to the nearest country to use its warranty. Do you have any idea how can I fix it? Do you think it's a software issue?

I backed up my Iphone to itunes so i can do the new Update to IOs 7 and so now that i updated it i want to backup and restore and its not working, Please help!
An iPhone backup to a computer via iTunes stores the photos in a backup file that is only meant to be be used if needed to restore back to the phone. There is 3rd party "extractor" software available but otherwise the photos are not directly viewable.
The backup via iTunes was a good idea and your Camera Roll photos should be there and should be able to be restored to your new phone. However if it was me I wouldn't rely on that alone. I would also import the photos to a computer where you can see and verify that you have a copy. That is a good idea at any time (not just when you know you might need it). Any phone can be lost, broken, suffer hardware issues, etc at any time and lose all data on it. I have 4s iPhone , I download the iOS 7. Now the front receiver microphone is not working , please help me that how to fix the problem.
I live in South Africa, and I had the same problem with my iPhone 4.
After weeks of frustration and swearing, I was in the process of restoring my phone to a previous iOS. To do that you need to turn the "Find my iPhone" option off, since i turned it off, my problem was solved. No need to repair anything or revert back to old iOS.

If you are running Lion or Mountain Lion, the drivers are downloaded from within Bootcamp Assistant. If you are running Snow Leopard the drivers are on your Snow Leopard install disk.

I would imagine your iPhone was hacked to make it work on your local carrier.
Updating the iOs to 5.xx will lock it back to the original carrier .The carrier holding the lock are the only
entity able to authorise the unlock .You will have to contact them and see if they unlock and the terms the apply -
