New To Different Accounts

Next school year I plan to live my school life (i.e. notes) on my PowerBook G4. I want to have all my school files and such separate from my personal files, so I created a new profile strictly for school work and such. I want to know if there is a way that I could transfer things like music, address book, etc to this other account, since both accounts are me. Any helpful tips would be great, thanks.

Okay, lets work on your Music for now... For example you're on the personal account now. You want to move your Music folder to the student account. Open a Finder window. Go to User Name>Music. There's your iTunes folder. Copy that folder. Now open a Finder window. Go to Macintosh HD>Users>Student account (or whatever you named it)>Music. Paste the iTunes folder in Music folder of your student account. And if you open iTunes the programme will have your music in your student account. Does this help? Of course this is only one example. hi, I bought a 1 year creative cloud (education version) which will expire in few months. Perhaps I will skip to a different version or maybe not, still don't know. My question is: I have plans to sell my computer to a friend (student) and he would like to buy also a creative cloud (education version) and install it on that computer (or just use the adobe softwares already installed there and buy an education licence)...is it possible to do it or on a single computer (same ip) could run only 1 creative cloud installation?
I try to explain it in different words: is it possible to install adobe softwares (or use the already installed adobe softwares) on the same computer but with a new (and different account) creative cloud education version (once the previous one expired)?

When you sell the computer to your friend, then you have to just deactivate the CC Activation & Deactivation Help , you do not have to uninstall Adobe CC, your friend needs to sign in with the Adobe ID under which he purchases the CC.

Contact Adobe Customer Service directly by phone or web chat (they don't do email). They don't do email. If you can provide proof of purchase to their satisfaction, they may be able to help you.

There is no "adding" a device. Simply plug the iDevice into the computer. iTunes should automatically detect the device when it is connected.
iTunes can sync/manage as many iDevices as you want... there is no 1 device limit.

Edit > Preferences > Store check Music under Automatic Downloads.
Open the iTunes Store from left hand column, then select Purchasedfrom the column on the right, click the Not In My Library button and select the tunes you want to download again.
That said, you seem to be under a misapprehension as to how iTunes works, or at least how it has worked in the past. It has, until recently, been up to you take care of your purchases once they have been downloaded. You had a one-time download which you were reminded to back up. With the recent change to this policy you can at least download your store purchases again, but having a personal backup of your iTunes store purchases, stuff purchased elsewhere and files ripped from your CDs will still be preferable to gathering all the stuff together again in the event of a disaster.

I would love to give you more information but i cannot access that page again? i can add Lightroom to my cart but when i go into my cart it says there is nothing in there? The best thing to do would be to start over. Use Setup Assistant this time.
Boot into Recovery, launch Disk Utility, and erase the startup volume. This operation will destroy all data on the volume. Quit Disk Utility and install OS X. If your Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade, so make a note of those before you begin.
When you reboot, you'll be prompted to go through the initial setup process. That’s when you transfer the data from one of your backups. For a walkthrough, see here:

Don't transfer the Guest account, if it was enabled on the old system.

Welcome to the Apple community.
iTunes and iCloud and different accounts, you will need to delete both accounts from your device before adding the new details in their place.
For iCloud go to settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit the delete button. You can then sign back in using your correct details. For iTunes go to settings >store, tap your account ID and then sign out, you can then sign back in using your correct Apple ID.

Hello - absolutely! You just need to make sure that your Behance account is linked with that Adobe ID. Please login to your Behance account, then visit this link and choose "use a different Adobe ID" and enter your new Adobe ID with the CC account. From then on, you'll use that email address to login to Behance:Behance

Different rich text/plain text settings for different accounts?

I use Mail for both my work email (MS Exchange) and my personal email (webmail/IMAP). Many of my coworkers use Outlook's rich text formatting options, so I need to have my work emails go out as rich text. However I'd like to have my personal emails go out as plain text.
I can set Mail to create new messages in plain text, but to reply in the same format of the original message. That takes care of everything EXCEPT when I compose a new message using my work address... in that case it goes out as plain text, and my coworkers complain that they can't use formatting, because their copies of Outlook are in turn configured to reply in the same format as the original message.
So ideally what I'd like is to have two different formatting settings for my two different accounts. Anyone know how this might be done? Any plugins, etc., that might accomplish this?

Since you are running Jaguar, Jaguar and Panther Mail do not support composing in HTML and this includes when forwarding a message received that was composed in HTML.
Since Jaguar and Panther Mail do not support composing or forwarding HTML, you can't embed images or photos in the message body anyway.
RTF with Tiger Mail is really HTML and although Tiger Mail does not include an HTML composer/editor, you can copy/paste HTML format from a web page and forward HTML received.
Images/photos and single page PDF attachments are revealed as inline or viewed in place within the body of the message by default which cannot be turned off. This applies to received and sent messages which is not the same as being embedded. Embedded requires HTML and an embedded attachment is not a true attachment. All Mail.app versions render HTML received but you cannot attach a photo or image as embedded with Jaguar or Panther Mail so it doesn't matter if you use RTF or Plain Text in regards to photo/image or single page PDF attachments which appear as inline or viewed in place within the body of the message by default regardless.
When you use Plain Text for message composition, the receiving mail client renders the text in whatever font the reader chooses.
IMO, everyone should use Plain Text for message composition. Messages would be boring to some but the majority if not all problems experienced with email would be eliminated if HTML was banned from message composition.

I, like many, have recently migrated from iPhoto to the new Photos App. I'm having one significant issue that is bothering me, using a single Photos library under two different accounts on my Mac. In iPhoto, I could easily point both accounts at one library. The only minor issue with doing this was that both accounts couldn't have it open at the same time. However, everything else worked great, including setting the screensaver on both accounts to be the iPhoto library.
Now that I use Photos, everything works fine on one account, but if I try and open the same Photos library on a different account, it gives a generic error and fails. What am I doing wrong? Is this not possible? That's a pretty obnoxious issue if so.

It should be fine... it certainly works with iTunes for Windows. You just need to run the same version of iTunes on each machine you want to connect to.
