New to FICO module: ABAPER

Hi,
I am an ABAPER.
I have been shortlisted for a SAP FICO Implementation.
I don't have any background on SAP FICO module.
Can somebody please send or refer me docs, which I can go thru just to have some background on this Module.

How can i add FICO module to the SAP Netweaver ABAP 7.02 trial version

Dear Brothers
I am a new learner of SAP and interested in learning FICO. As part of that I installed SAP Netweaver ABAP trial version and after the installation I had problem in Logging in but it was solved lately. Now I face an other challenge which I may share with u guys. After logging in I wanna start with a new company code creation for FICO but I cant find the Enterprise Structure for in SAP Reference IMG. Only I see the following structure
SAP Customizing Implementation Guide
     Activate Business functions
     SAP Net weaver
     Cross-Application Components
     Financial Supply Chain Management
     Integration with Other my Sap.com components
I expanded the tree structure but could not find the Enterprise Structure> Definition> Financial Accounting--> Define Company
So is this because of missing FICO module if so how can I install that module for I can learn myself @ home. Kindly help me to fix this prob and hope to hear from the SAP experts around the world.

FICO module missing in installed SAP Netweaver 7.02 ABAP trial version?

Halo Guys
After visiting the SAP site I decided to download the trial version to learn How to use the FICO. It took me 3 days for complete installation and now it seems I m missing FICO module and Dont know How to get this.
This Message is contained in the installation folder
"This package consists of two archives. Please download both to your local harddisk and unpack together. It contains all you need to learn ABAP based development with SAP NetWeaver. The following components are included:
SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP with MaxDB database
MaxDB Clients: MaxDB Database Manager (recommended to install) and SQL Studio or new MaxDb Studio

Is there any other installation files needed to be installed or I need any other version so i can learn FICO kindly help to solve this?

Hi Viet-Toan Nguyen ,
First thing you can do is uninstalled the previously installed sapdb and choose to install db inside sap installation instead of using existing db instance in one of the installation step, So don't install db seperately , choose it during sap installation.
If you have tried first thing properly and the error still persist then.....
Second thing is :
Compatibilities for Oracle JDBC Drivers :
Starting with 10g Release 1 (10.1), the Oracle JDBC drivers no longer support JDK 1.1.x or earlier versions.
And also check the paths:
ORACLE_HOME/jdbc
ORACLE_HOME /jlib directory.
CLASSPATH
ORACLE_HOME/jdbc/lib/ojdbc14.jar for full globalization support ORACLE_HOME/jdbc/lib/orai18n.jar
ORACLE_HOME/jdbc/lib/classes12.jar
ORACLE_HOME/jdbc/lib/orai18n.jar for full globalization support
But I believe above all these things you should perform uninstallation and installation of SAP system properly on CURRENT DATABASE NOT ON THE PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED DATABASE.

Dear Experts,
I am working as Oracle DBA for the past 12 years. I wanted to do SAP and joined here in Singapore at an institute. They asked me to take four core modules and one for my project. I took SD and HR as my core module and for my project I am confused what to take. I have two options on FICO or ABAP. For my experience which will be best so that it will help me to look for job opportunity in SAP. I need your expet comments in this.

I need your help regarding configuration of workflow for FICO bill posting and payment release transaction. Can any one guide me in this process. In my scenario, the client has a billing department, which receives bill from various vendors and other departments. Once they receive the bill, they check it and post it. After bill posting bill needs to be approved by various levels depending upon value.

>=10001 and <= 100000 Approval by HOD and Finance Head
>=100001 Approval by CEO.

Hi all,
I have been recently joined as a FICO consultant and i am new to SAP. I had 6 weeks of training in FICO module. Now i want to practice FICO module. For this I am not sure as to whom and where to approach to get the DEMO SAP version for my practice.

I got the same error as I tried to build my application, the reason was the string I set for the 'Build specification name' property of my build.
I changed from '3DC - Dlog Data Compacter ' to '3DC' and it worked afterwards..quite strange behaviour..

Starting new database LUW inside ABAP during IDoc posting

Hi all,
During posting of an inbound IDoc, I am trying to update my Z-table in user-exit. I want to do it regardless of the result of IDoc posting. The problem is: if IDoc posted successfully - table is updated because COMMIT WORK is called at the end of the posting, however, if IDoc not posted - ROLLBACK WORK is called and table is not updated. So, my aim now is to commit the update of Z-table in any case, but it is the only thing that should be committed - no other prior update FMu2019s should be committed.

Author of this thread says that he solved a problem by means of RFC and STARTING NEW TASK. But ABAP help says
that starting asynchronous RFC triggers immediately a database commit in the calling program (which is unacceptable because all prior update FMu2019s will be committed ). I've checked and it is really the case.
From my point of view SET UPDATE TASK LOCAL with COMMIT WORK should work in such kind of tasks, but in case of IDoc processing the whole process runs in a local update (see SET UPDATE TASK LOCAL in FM 'IDOC_INPUT'), so writing once again SET UPDATE TASK LOCAL has no effect.
I tested SUBMIT statement as well. It had no effect and then I found out from ABAP help that SUBMIT ... AND RETURN starts new SAP LUW, but NOT a DB LUW. That is if I update my Z-table in the program called by SUBMIT - all ROLLBACK statements still affect my Z-table update.
Is there any simple solution? Please suggest.

a new SAP NW AS ABAP 7.01 SP03 version with the Standard SAPINST installer (note: the "trial version" is beta!) and optimzed single user memory consumption (~2GB pagefile) is available for testing purposes.
NOTE: The installation step "LOAD DATABASE" may take up to 8h depending on your harddisk (1h on a fast disk). Next release will install faster.

Get into the System with Tcode - BAPI,
Then you can dig to the specified area(FICO module). Then look for the specified object.
Even from SE37 ( list of BAPIs) you can see their documentation to understand the use of the BAPI.
