New to Flash, Problems with Opening It =(

Hi guys,
I downloaded the trial and when I tried to open it after
installation, it says that "Licensing has stopped working", so I
looked at one of the pages with that topic and I found a bunch of
ways to supposedly fix the issue. I tried all of them
and it didn't work! But, I noticed that I did not have
FlexNET on my list on services in my computer (why is that?) So I
thought the trial had an issue. Therefore, I got the full version
and it still gave me the exact same issue. What's the problem? I am
also missing the file called "Flash_Video_Extension.dll" as well.

Take a deep breath and let it out. Being an experienced Windows user, this new machine is going to feel strange for a while.
You've said something that perhaps reveals some confusion on your part: *Sometimes I can launch Finder from the dock and sometimes I can not.* Finder is always running - it is akin to Windows Explorer. It can be relaunched but this should only be done when it becomes unresponsive, which should be very infrequently.
Items are removed from the dock by dragging them away from the dock - you'll see a little puff of smoke as the icon leaves the dock. At that point, release the icon. But note: if the application is running, it will not go away; all applications show up on the dock when they are running. If you remove a running application from the dock, you'll see the puff of smoke but it will stay there until it is quit. (You can tell that an application is running because it's icon on the dock has a little blue dot beside it or under it, depending on where the dock is.)
I'm not sure why you cannot get the Spaces application to run nor the System Preferences to run from the dock. These are both curious. Have you tried restarting the computer to see if that solves the problem? BTW, I believe the default method of switching spaces is control left arrow and control right arrow.

Problems with open an Indesign-Document over Network

Hallo,
we have a specialized problem with opening indesign-documents over network. Our users works with windows-pc (windows7) and adobe CS5 and CS6 and they will use there documents which are on our macserver 4.0 which works on OS X 10.10.2.
Sometimes the usurers become this Message
Wouldn't work indesign proberly on windows with documents which are on a macserver?

@Naga Sai J – you cannot open an InDesign CS4 file in the previous version.
But you can export an exchange file format for InDesign CS3.
Go to File/Export and chose INX for export: "InDesign CS3 Interchange-Format (INX)"
That .inx file could be opened with InDesign CS3.
After opening the .inx file, examine it well!
Some things might have changed (things regarding to newer or changed features from InDesign CS4).

Hi Pete. The repair of disk permissions can help resolve any application crashing or misbehaving.
As for Lion and the two camps, I think that is a reasonable observation. In my office we have about a dozen Mac's and about one third of those Mac's had problems after updating from 10.6 to 10.7. The main problem for these Mac's was a loss of wifi stability. But for the other two-thirds, Lion was a smooth transition.
Personally, my Lion experience was fine. But I did get a new i7 MacBook Pro with Lion already installed and only had to migrate my user data from a 10.6.8 TM backup.
So I think that is a key for Lion's operational success. A clean install of Lion on a new Mac would not cause too many operational issues. But an installation, or more correctly, an update to Lion from SL increased the chances of failure for some users - especially when old software & plugins resided on the Mac. And I would say that they were the people that you saw at the Apple store.
As for the "latest release of Lion fixed my problems" statement, my experience with these and other forums is that people mostly only go there to complain about the problems they are having. If they are having no problems then they either keep it to themselves or they try to help the users who are experiencing trouble...

Problem with opening of PDF in my webmail application

I have a problem with opening a pdf file in my webmail application of my internet provider in apple safari since yesterday. When I wanted to open up a pdf file I got a pop up message to allow a connection between adobe and the webmail application which I did. Since then I can not open up a pdf file. If I go to another browser or if I use email from another internet provider I use too it works and I can open up. It seems to be a blockage of the specific combination of this webmail application and safari.
What can I do ?

Problem with opening a indd file in CC 2014.

When I'm trying to open a 5.5 .indd-file in CC 2014 on my Windows computer, I get this error message: 'Either the file does not exist or you do not have permission to open it or the file is used by another program'. However my collague has no problem with opening the document on his Mac computer. I guess it has something to do with a kind of setting in my CC 2014. Can anyone help me?

Nothing to do with ID. It really means what it says - your file permissions are hosed and it being an ID file this could include things like fonts or placed images referenced within it.

Don’t know if Reader has this, too, but in Acrobat one can check under Document Properties.
I can convert and place the file in Photoshop CS6.
I would recommend trying the usual trouble-shooting routines and if nothing helps un-installing, running the Cleaner and re-installing Photoshop. (After making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved to s secure location.)

F-32 : Problem with Open Item selection

Hi,
We have a strange problem with open Item selection for customer clearing in t-code F-32
In My QA system
if I input spl GL indicator ="*" and uncheck Normal OI tick,
the system selects all open items,
(those with spl GL indicator and those without spl GL indicator)
In My Dev system
If I input spl GL indicator ="*" and uncheck Normal OI tick
the system does not select any open items,
Please let me know which setting controls this behaviour ?

Hello,
Check your data in FBL5N for the option "Special GL Transactions". There could be that there is no data in the system with SPECIAL GL TRANSACTIONS.
In F-32, there is no value like *
You need to input right Special GL Indicator. "*" will not work here.
I am sure in both the systems if you put "*" and UNTICK your normal transaction, you will NOT get any items to clear.
Please DOUBLE CHECK whether you have unticked normal transaction.

Please follow these directions to delete the Mail "sandbox" folders. In OS X 10.9 there are two sandboxes, while in 10.8 there is only one. If you're running a version older than 10.8, this comment isn't applicable.

My client having problem with opening balances in cash journal report that same showing in INR but not tallyed with carryforward balances. Cash journal carryforawd balances and FS10N balances are tallyed.

It is problem with carryforward balances from one year to another year. We have again run the same programe carryforward programe to fix this problem.

Problems with opening Acrobat Pro 9 PDF files

Hi. We use Acrobat Pro 9.0.0 to convert our product documentation Word files into PDFs. During the last weeks our customers report more and more problems with opening these files. We usually deliver those on a DVD with Acrobat Reader 5 or another older version. (Please don't ask me why we're still on these old versions!) Did anyone experience similar problems with Acrobat Pro 9 PDF files and older versions of the Acrobat Reader? Does Acrobat Pro 9.0.0 work smoothly with the newest Acrobat Reader 9.1 download?

I would recommend distributing higher version of Reader as version 5 is just too old but looks like you can't go there.
Acrobat 9 PDFMaker and Adobe PDF printers by default create PDF 1.5 compaible files. PDF 1.5 compatible files can be opened only in Acrobat 6 and above. That's probably the reason why your customers can't see the contents.
What you can do is to change your conversion settings to produce PDF 1.4 compatible files:
- In Word, select Acrobat tab or Adobe PDF menu (depending on your version of Word), select Settings
- Select "advanced settings" in the dialog that comes up
- Choose compatibility as "Acrobat 5", PDF 1.4
IF you print to Adobe PDF printer, you'll find a similar setting in the print dialog.

What are you seeing happen when you do that?
Select a .zip file in the Finder and Get Info (cmd-i). What is set for it to Open With. It should be Archive Utility.
