New (to me) e-mail error message.

All has been well on the e-mail front for me for a few weeks now - until 10 minutes ago when this error message appeared - "Sending of password did not succeed. Mail server mail.btinternet.com responded: internal server error (#IS6532)"
I have seen many error messages associated with BT and their (or Yahoo's) system - I'm still not migrated (but that is another story!!!) but I have not seen this one before. I use Thunderbird as my e-mail client BTW. The old trick of going to yahoo.mail.com, logging on with my normal email pw and then logging off again seems to clear it and I can go back to using Thunderbird as normal. What a p i t a this is all becoming.
Mistakes and embarrasing goofs in e-mails are only discovered when you've sent them!

I have been having exactly the same problem since this morning (Thursday 20 Nov 2014) ! It happens fairly frequently and I am unsure whether the problem lies with me and/or Thunderbird - or with Yahoo.
I am interested in your comments about migrating to the new BT e-mail. I too appear to be still using Yahoo and can access all my BT e-mail addresses by using the Yahoo portal. I really don't know what's happening and can't understand why everything seems exactly the same as it has always been despite the fact that BT insists it has ditched Yahoo!
Best wishes. If you get to the bottom of this, I would appreciate you posting the outcome.

I have the same version of Adobe Digital Editions, the only difference is for Mac or PC. This afternoon I signed out epub books from my local library and could transfer them from Adobe Digital editions on my dying dinosaur laptop, but when I tried to do it from my new Mac, I got the error message. My Kobo is authorized on both machines. What do I do?

  • Undeliverable mail - error message

When I try to send mail, I get an Undeliverable mail error message/response. I don't know if it makes a difference if I select the me.com or mac.com as my outgoing server. I also work at a university, but I don't think that should be a problem since this just surfaced today. I've posted some additional technical details below. Has anyone else experienced this problem recently?
    Error message details:
    SMTP module(domain mac.com) reports:
    host smtp-mx2.mac.com says:
550 5.1.1 unknown or illegal alias
    Reporting-MTA: dns; regor.[myuniversity].edu

First of all test the other mail host. Do nslookup on the mx record for the domain. Maybe also check it from somewhere else on the internet to make sure your dns server doesnt still have an old entry cached. Once you know dns is going to the right server, try to telnet to port 25 on that server to see if you can connect to the other mail server and get a header back. If you want you could go a step further and send a message via command line but not usually necessary.
If that server seems fine, look at your own mail server. Check dns, delivery to other addresses etc..

  • I want to upgrade the software (currently I have Mac OS X 10.6.4) but when the mac is downloading the new version i get an error message and is not possible get the most updated software: Mac OS X 10.6.8 or either the most recent itunes why?!?!?!

Then you either have a network problem or a hardware problem or a corrupted hard drive. You might try:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
You can also try downloading from another computer on a different network connection.

  • When i install or reinstall the new itunes i get an error message that says:

when i install or reinstall the new itunes i get an error message that says:
apple application support was no found.
apple application support is required to run ituneshelper. please uninstall itunes, then install itunes again.
    error 2
thats all it says ive tried to reinstall uninstall ive done all that and it wont work. i use windows 7
    please help me!!

Yeah, this is absolutely ********. I have t5he same message, only i just started getting it when my Iphone4 went in to recovery mode.
I uninstalled itunes, downloaded the lates itunes just now, reinstalled it and got the same message.
So, i did some more google research, and saw a recommendation that rather than installing itunes, one should unpack it with win zip, or win rar.
I did this, and even though I just downloaded the apple software today, when i try installing application support, i gwt a message saying A LATER VERSION OF APPLE APPLICATION SUPPORT IS ALREADY INSTALLED.. go figure! Du-uh!
So, i uninstalled the new itunes, went - control panel-programs- and dis a search for apple application support, found it and deleted it too.
Resinstalled itunes and again the same message.
unistalled everything again, tried installing application support first, then itunes, and now I get a message saying ITUNES WAS NOT ISNATLLED CORRECTLY!
I am so annoyed right now, that if my puter was a person, I would be in Jail!
    lol

  • I tried to install the new iTunes & I get an error message

I tried to install the new iTunes & i got an error message & i have already deleted all apple related things & reinstalled them. Now a message that says something about verify my apple mobile device keeps coming up & i have no idea how to fix this problem.

... not likely to be a LSP thing, then.
Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install (or uninstall), let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

  • Hi there I have updated to your lates version but every time I open up the browser and new windows I get this error message 'TypeError: Components.classes[cid] is undefined' although it does work but the message is very annoying

    Question
Hi there I have updated to your lates version but every time I open up the browser and new windows I get this error message 'TypeError: Components.classes[cid] is undefined' although it does work but the message is very annoying

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Mac OS 10.10.2 is installed and can open documents on my new Mac Air but an error message occurs when trying to attach a PDF to emails.  Apple was not able to fix.  Any thoughts?

    The message says:
    Please wait
If this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of your document, your PDF viewer may not be able to display this type of document.
Then it goes on to suggest an Reader upgrade, which I already did.

  • 'cannot get mail' error message

Getting 'cannot get mail' error message for my hotmail on iphone and ipad, tried resetting account and passwords, not helping...any ideas??

My email started working -- on its own -- at 7 PM. That means that from 4 AM until 7 PM, I received no email.
However, I knew I missed some messages.  It's now the NEXT MORNING and those missed messages still have NOT arrived.  I has hoping they were in a queue or something and would still be arriving.
This is HORRIBLE.  Gosh only knows what I missed beyond the few that a couple friends told me about.
If this happens one more time, I'll leave icloud.com's email.  This is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE.  In all the years of having had MobileMe prior to iCloud email, nothing like this ever happened.
    SHAME ON APPLE.

  • E-Mail Error Message

When I open my e-mail messages, I get a big black box that states "More request cannot be completed. Service book information not found." Under this message is a small blue box with "OK" that I must click to remove it. Then my e-mail messages come through ok. The error message only occurs when I first open an e-mail message. Does this mean anything, and how can I get rid of it?
Also, my new 8900 has OS 4.7 (came with the CD). Is it ok to upgrade to 5.0, before AT&T sends it out? I have the AT&T data plan.
Thanks for your help and a great site!

  • MAIL - ERROR message using aapt sending mail

I am using Apple Mail with an aapt.net.au email account. When I am at home using my wireless internet connection through an ADSL landline I have no problems. However, when I travel and make use of others wireless connections eg at an airport or at my friends house, I can receive and download email but I get a
"server "mail.aapt.net.au" refused to allow a connection on port 25"
error message when I try to send emails Aapt seem to have no idea what is happening.
Does anyone out there in Mac land have any ideas.
I use a Macbook when travelling.

Hi Tim, it's a Port/Authentication issue when sending through another ISP.

  • Is there any way to disable Mail error messages?

In creating a Service in Automator which outputs to Mail, I am recieving silly error messages such as
“” does not appear to be a valid email address. Verify the address and try again.
When this occurs, the Service is stopped until I hit «Send Anyway». This defeats the purpose of my automated Service. Is there anyway to bypass or disable these error messages?

I'm getting this same error on an Automator workflow that worked fine under Snow Leopard. It just started when I upgraded to Lion. When I first ran my workflow under Lion, I got the attached warning. All looks okay until it gets to the sending of the email.
I even deleted the old "New Mail Message" from the workflow and replaced it with another "New Mail Message." No change. It still generated the error when trying to send the new mail message.

  • New preview function for iPad–error message "Multiple page sizes not supported"

When I try to use the new preview function with my iPad I get the error message "Multiple page sizes within a layout are not supported". I have a page that is 768 x  1296. I would really like to preview this folio before publishing. Any suggestions?

If you're trying to create an article that scrolls vertically, you can create a 768x1296 article in a 1024x768 folio, but you need to select a Smooth Scrolling option when you create or import the article, or in the Article Properties dialog box.
