  • Simple module pool  programming.

    hi,
can  anybody tell me how to go about doing module pool programming ....... to start with ....... how to add  2 nos. using screen  with 2 i\o fields for user to input 2 nos. and a output field  for result.........
can  u tell the coding and the wat plz ..

Hey deepak i think you are very new to module pool programming but it is very difficutlt to explain step by step process but easyest programming.
    do the following steps
    1. Create a program in SE38 ex: prog name is ztest create the program as executable program
    2.  Write a code in that program like this.
    data: w_no1 type i,
             w_no2 type i.
    3. Just save the program and activate it, and now go back to SE38 tcode.
    4. Now goto SE51 transaction
    5. give ztest in the program name and give screen number as 100 now press create button
    6. give the short test and press the Layout button
    7. In the there are some buttons in the left side in that press the second button Text field and now drag and drop in the flag screen give the name and text for that
    8. and now press the third button from the top and grag and drop it now give the name as W_NO1
    9. do the 7th and third steps for second number but give the name for the second field as w_NO2
    10. save it activate it and press the Flowlogic button
    11. Now uncomment the * MODULE USER_COMMAND_0100* and double click on that in the Main program and write the code in this.
    see the following.
    PROGRAM  ZTEST20.
    data: w_no1 type i,
    w_no2 type i.
    call screen 100.
    *&      Module  USER_COMMAND_0100  INPUT
    *       text
    module USER_COMMAND_0100 input.
    *write the code here
    endmodule.                 " USER_COMMAND_0100  INPUT

  • How to make a fld mandatory in module pool program?

I need help on following 2 things
I have module pool program created, in that many screen subscreens created.
1.I want to make a field mandatory
second one  is, I have a general tab and  data tab.
    General tab screen - 2101
    Data tab = 2102
In general tab, I have edited the values (change mode), when change the values and try to save it,
It is holding old value.but If i exucute the transaction once again, it is showing the changed value(new value)
For ex: there is a date field  value is 03/08/2009
If I change this to 03/09/2009 and press on Save button from the standard menu, still it is showing the  value 03/08/2009. but I execute this transaction once again it is showing the value as 03/09/2009
I will be thankful if someone helps me here

    Hi Chitra,
Go to the properties of the filed select program tab and say input required.
then you will get the problem solved.
For second one actually its saving but not displaying the saved value at the same time ,
for this you write the select statement after saving , so that once save is execute m, select statement also will execute  and it will display the newly saved value.
so after saving imdeatly u write the select statement.
    like case sy-ucomm.
    when 'SAVE'.
    insert ztable.
    select filed from z table.
    endcase.
let me know if ur problem solved.
    Regards
    Rajendra

  • How to create Long Text in Module Pool Program

    Hi all,
I want to develop a new module pool program and I want to use Long text screen in this program and also want this text will store in table.I never develop such type of module pool before. This long text will like sales order long text. Please let me know the steps how I can develop such type of program and how I save long text huge data in table.
    Thanks & Regards
    Nirmal

    Hai ,
here you have to use custom control, for this
    DATA: line(256) TYPE c,
text_tab LIKE STANDARD TABLE OF line,
          field LIKE line.
    1)  Create custom control in your screen
    2)   CREATE OBJECT: container EXPORTING container_name = 'TEXTEDIT',   "--> (this is custom control name in screen)
                       editor    EXPORTING parent = container.
    3)  CALL METHOD editor->get_text_as_stream  "This method reads data from custom control , inserts into itab 'text_tab'
             IMPORTING
              text = text_tab.                                       "
READ TABLE text_tab  INTO line INDEX 1. read the text into wa 'line'
if you want more clarity , see  'ABAPDOCU' >ABAP USER DIALOGS>    COMPLEXSCREEN ELEMENTS-->  DEMO CUSTOM_CONTROL

  • How to validate the field values in module pool program?

    Hi Guys
I am working with module pool programming.
Here I want to validate the fields like below.
with out filling all the fields if I click SAVE option it has to show a message that all fields has to be filled.  This can be done by checking all the fields individually.
I think it can be done through <b>LOOP AT SCREEN ......ENDLOOP</b>. sequence.
If it is possible, can anyone help me?

You need to write the Module in between the CHAIN and ENDCHAIN statment in SE51
If you send a warning or error message from a module <mod> that you called using a FIELD statement as follows:
    CHAIN.
    FIELD: <f1>, <f 2>,...
    MODULE <mod1>.
    FIELD: <g1>, <g 2>,...
    MODULE <mod2>.
    ENDCHAIN.
all of the fields on the screen that belong to the processing chain (all of the fields listed in the field statements) are made ready for input again. Other fields are not ready for input. Whenever the MODULE statement appears within a processing chain, even if there is only one FIELD attached to it, all of the fields in the chain (not only the affected field) are made ready for input again, allowing the user to enter new values. If the fields in the processing chain are only checked once, the PAI processing continues directly after the FIELD statement, and the preceding modules are not called again.
Look at the DEMO program DEMO_DYNPRO_FIELD_CHAIN.

  • In module pool program -  i want to control size of screen.

    Hi,
In module pool program , I am handling 2 screen . while calling the 2 nd screen , i want to display the window size as i required.
    Plz help me.
    Regards,
    Rani.

    Hi,
    Specify the positions as
    CALL SCREEN dynnr
                [STARTING AT col1 lin1
                [ENDING   AT col2 lin2]].
By default, the screens of all dynpros of the called dynpro sequence are displayed in the current window. Use addition STARTING AT to open a modal dialog window.
    Addition
    ... STARTING AT col1 lin1 [ENDING AT col2 lin2]
    Effect
Use addition STARTING AT to open a new popup level and to display all screens of the called dynpro sequence in a modal dialog window. The upper left corner of the dialog window is determined by the values col1 and lin1 for column and line. The values refer to the window with popup level 0. The lower right corner is set automatically or you can use col2 and lin2 to specify it after ENDING AT. For col1, lin1, col2 and lin2, data objects of type i are expected. The values of col1, lin1 should be smaller than those of col2, lin2, because otherwise the behavior is undefined. The maximum popup level is 9.
Pls reward points if solved your issue.
    Regards,
    Renjith Michael.

  • Creating module pool programming in abap objects

    Hello...
I just wanted to know how u create a give modulepool programming in classes and objects.Could anyone tell me the procedure how to do so.And i knew that module pool programming has become obsolete and now everyone are using object oriented concept in module pool programming.soo i want why r they using soo and what is the drawback in using the module pool programming instead of oops concepts.Could anyone give me the clear explanation..

    Hello Chadipriya,
You can create module pool program for both ABAP and ABAP OO(Object Oriented).
The thing is in OO u have to declare classes, objects and methods.
    <b>Procedure oriented approach</b>
    1. Emphasis on tasks
    2. Large programs are divided into smaller programs known as functions
    3. Most of the functions share global data
    4. Data move openly around the system from function to function
    <b>Object oriented approach</b>
Emphasis on things that does those tasks
    Programs are divided into objects
    3.    Data structures are designed such that they characterized the objects
    4.    Functions that operate on the data of an object are tied together in the data structure
    5.    Data can be hidden and cannot be accessed by external functions
    6.    New data and functions can be easily added whenever necessary
Go to SE80 ---> Select Program ---> Give ur program name and type this code below :-
    REPORT  YSUBDEL LINE-SIZE 120.
    CLASS parentclass DEFINITION .
    PUBLIC SECTION.
DATA : commondata(30) type c value 'Accessible to all'.
      METHODS : SHOWVAL.
    PROTECTED SECTION.
DATA : protectdata(40) type c value 'Protected data'.
    private section.
data : privatedata(30) type c value 'Private data'.
    ENDCLASS.
    CLASS parentclass IMPLEMENTATION.
    METHOD : SHOWVAL.
write:/5 'All data from parentclass shown:-'.
      write:/ sy-uline.
      WRITE:/5 COMMONDATA,
            /5 PROTECTDATA,
            /5 PRIVATEDATA.
    endmethod.
    endclass.
CLASS childclass DEFINITION INHERITING FROM parentclass.
    PUBLIC SECTION .
    METHODS : subval.
    ENDCLASS.
    CLASS childclass IMPLEMENTATION.
    method : subval.
      skip 1.
write:/5 'Data of parent shown from child-'.
      write:/5 sy-uline.
      WRITE:/5 COMMONDATA,
            /5 PROTECTDATA.
Commondata = 'Public data changed in subclass'.
Protectdata = 'Protected data changed in subclass'.
      write:/5 sy-uline.
      WRITE:/5 COMMONDATA,
            /5 PROTECTDATA.
    endmethod.
    endclass.
You r using OOPs concepts in module pool program and not  module pool programming instead of oops concepts.
    <b>Reward points if helpful</b>
    Thanks,

  • Module pool program - urgent

    Hi Friends..
I am working on a module pool program where I am using Z_BAPI_ADDREMPAU_CREATE and Z_BAPI_ADDREMPAU_CHANGE inside my Zmodule program. I have copied this these BAPI’s from Standard BAPI. The reason I created this ZBAPI’s because I have created a new fields on the screen in which when I press SAVE button ..these extra fields should also saved.
I am facing a different problem when I am debugging each line ..it is saving into database table( pa0006). But when I press SAVE ..it is going into short dump. I could not understand why this problem is coming. Either it is giving this dump problem or the BAPI is returning “ a complex application error has occurred “
The DUMP is :- Incorrect internal format of ABAP Program SAPLHRMM
Correct the error:- Try regenerating the program SAPLHRMM
    Please help.

    Hi Ravi,
This is the code in my ZFm.
I am calling bapi_addrempua_change in my ZFM first and then moving extra fields to p0006.
    please have a look.

You should be able to run it from SE38, you don't need a transaction code in this case, as there is a call screen 100 in there.
How did you copy the program? In SE38, enter the program name and press copy. It should give you a pop-up screen with a bunch of checkboxes. Select all of them and press copy again. That should copy all the objects to your Z program. You then need to activate all of them. In SE38, enter your Z program name and activate. It will give another pop-up with object and obj. name columns. Select all of them again and then press activate.
    Hope this helps,

  • Module pool program, table control edit

    Hi,
I am doing module pool programming with table control.  I have a table control on my screen which is assigned to scarr table with ‘New’, ‘Modify’, ‘Save’, and ‘Delete’ buttons.  When I click on ‘New’ and ‘Save’, the new record is adding to the table where as for ‘Modify’, I selected a row, edited, and clicked on save.  Only the internal table is getting modified at the time but not the original table.  How to update the table in database? Delete is also not working.  Please give some idea on this or links related to table control with sample code.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    modify <table name>.
    it will do it
