New to PS4

Hi all, I know there are a few of these already but I have just bought a PS4 and am looking for new people online to play with, Games I have so far Dragon Age Inquisition, Elder scrolls, battlefield hardline, evolve. Am really looking forward to getting into the new Assasins creed and Star Wars battlefront later on in the year. I'm 32 year old male based in Queensland Australia casual gamer no set time just on when I'm on. Look forward to seeing you all in there cheers Belly8304

New to PS4 some tools missing

I'm currently running PS4 on my iMac and am having issues in viewing some of the tools.
Tools such as custom shape tool are subdued. I've even gone so far as to go to Edit-->Menus--> select the custom shape tool is viewable. I've also tried the "path" option mentioned under the knowledge base with no luck.
I've got my workspace set to "Web" and have tried other options such as "basic" etc with no luck.
Another tool that I'm missing is the "fill tool" it looks like a bucket of paint. I cannot seem to find where this is located and it's not displayed at all on my workspace. I would assume that would be a default tool to use.
Let me know if running PS4 in Mac is different than in Windows or why these options would not be made available.

Well today I had another unfortunate experience at Best Buy. I tried to use the below deal that begins today:

1) I went over to the gaming kiosk to trade in my games. The employee told me I have to do this at the customer service desk. I've never had to do this at any Best Buy. I always trade in games at the kiosk since USUALLY I'll get someone knowledgable with video games and the current promotions.
2) I go to the customer service desk and told the girl I want to trade in CoD: Ghosts and Black Ops II. I also want to use the $10 coupon promotion and apply it to a CoD: AW preorder.
3) The girl tells me that I have to do this online. The coupon fine print obviously states it is in-store only. I try explaining this is an in-store promotion.
4) She told me I must be talking about the $10 rewards certificate for preordering. NO. Look in the ad, they are two different promotions.
5) Then, she told me that I cannot preorder this game in-store. "We must have run out of copies." I've never heard of a standard edition Call of Duty game run out of preorders before. Especially on a new system (PS4) where they need their userbase to be huge.
6) At this point I was fed up. I asked if there was someone in the video gaming department that had more experience with the promotions and trading in games. The girl told me that they do not have any video game specialists at the store.
I seriously cannot believe a Best Buy store can be this clueless. How can someone run a business like this? Sadly this is not the first time I've ran into problems with Best Buy.
Has anyone had any luck using this promotion? WHAT AM I DOING WRONG???

It shouldn't be so difficult to pre-order an upcoming game, so I can imagine why you'd be frustrated! It sounds like the rep you spoke with might not have been familiar with either the game trade-in or pre-order process, although walk-through guides and training documents should have been readily available at the time of your visit.
To take advantage of our current Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare trade-in promotion, customers simply need to trade in a copy of either Call of Duty: Ghosts or Call of Duty: Black Ops II and reserve a copy of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare at their local store. Trying to install PS4 on new MacBook Pro. I have already installed PS 3 extended. When PS4 asked for my PS3 serial number will not accept # on back of my PS3 case?

I have PS3 and PS4 installed on Mac 27", but when I try to install PS4 on my new MacBook Pro will not accept Serial # on my PS3 Extended case. Even though I have PS3 Extended installed!! Tried Serial # with and without dash, but neither works. Had both installed also on my MacBook Air OK but I wiped intend installed new OS. Not clear why PS4 not accept PS3 Serial # despite the fact that PS3 Extended already installed with the correct Serial #.

Photoshop 3 and Photoshop 4 for the Mac were released in the 1990s before Mac OSX and will only run natively on the Classic Mac OS (OS 9.x or older). They may run under emulation in "Classic Mode" on a PPC Mac up until OSX 10.4. They will not run on any Mac with an Intel processor nor with OSX 10.5 or newer. Same with Photoshop 5 and Photoshop 6.
Photoshop 7 came with both Classic and OSX versions, but will only run on a PPC-based Mac, or an Intel Mac up to OSX 10.6.x with the Rosetta emulator
Now, to clarify the naming of versions;
Photoshop CS = "Photoshop 8.x"
Photoshop CS2 = "Photoshop 9.x"
PS CS and CS2 came as OSX versions only and will only run on a PPC-based Mac, or an Intel Mac up to OSX 10.6.x with the Rosetta emulator
Photoshop CS3 = "Photoshop 10.x"
Photoshop CS4 = "Photoshop 11.x"
PS CS3 and CS3 came as OSX versions but run on either a PPC-based Mac up to OSX10.6.x with the Rosetta emulator or an Intel-based Mac, at least up to Mountain Lion OSX 10.8.x (the latest I have tried personally)
As for upgrades, you can go back about (3) revisions to use the old SN for an install; e.g. a PS 7 SN can be upgraded to PS CS3 (10.x) but not to PS CS4 (11.x). So, there is no way PS 3 could be upgraded directly to PS CS4 (11.x)

Hard Drive New PS4 Question

Just bought myself a new hard drive for my ps4, I know how to swap it over but was just wondering if i need to format the new drive or create any folders or anything before i start? Or does the playstation take care of that? Mainly asking because the new drive has some seagate installer stuff pre installed (i just bought a usb 3 external drive and took the drive out of that, was cheaper lol)

PS4 New TV problem

I've looked at similar topics but not really finding an answer. New 60" SHARP TV won't play my PS4, but has no issue playing the Xbox One. PS4 crackles and loses image for about a minute and only shows me picture for a flicker of a second. well.. My firewall is not blocking, as far as i know.. (don´t know the port for ps4 connection)And plex is not the solution i think. I am trying to get the new PS4 Media Player to play the movie and music files on my pc.. And cannot get the connection,, The message from ps4 is translated from Danish) : Cannot connect to the mediaserver. It do not allow access from this ps4. Check the setttings for the mediaserver. Strange .. because i do not have any mediaserver running on my pc.. But i can se the PC in my PS4 Media player..So... Wich Mediaplayer support the new Mediaplayer on the PS4 ?? New ps4 makes vibrating sound with disk

Usually when i install games i get a loud whirr vubration sounds coming from disk drive if i put my hand ontop of the case while its taking the noise itll go away the noise sounds exactly like https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GB3KdICDMns but in this video its constant for me it comes in whirs comes and goes . sound goes away if i place some cards under nderneath the feet so its lifted from the table but is this normal for bluray drive to make vibrating sounds once in while .while your instelling or lading cds

You might wanna reconsider your plan, though. There are notable compatibility issues with CS4 on Yosemite and working may not be a pleasurable experience at all.

Am no Tomb Raider fan but things like this is really annoying. Things like timed exclusives and exclusive DLC needs to stop. Can't say Sony are doing things like this though. Xbox players won't get to play Shenmue 3 even thought Shenmue 2 was on Xbox and not PlayStation. Also Final Fantasy World and 7 Remaster may not be coming to the Xbox One. If it does they will have to wait for a good amount of time just like Tomb Raider fans on PS4. Absolute no one wins when it comes to timed exclusive games. I can't see this game selling millions of XB1 consoles. By the time it hit's PS4 unless it launches as a PS+ free title anyone who wanted to play it most likely would of. So SE would of missed out on some sales.

BT Infinity HH5 and PS4 (FIFA & NHL 15) issues

I cant play either of these brand new games as when the PS is wifi enabled the game 'stutters' very badly, impossible to play. Turn off the wifi on PS4 and game works fine, but then that stops me playing online (which is not why I bought these ). I have tried looking at the hub settings, but being a novice I don't want to mess anything up. I have also moved the PS4 around to other locations in the house with same results.
I hope I have given enough info for someone who is able to help. If anything else required, just let me know

By all accounts if it is on, the PS4 creates its own wifi hotspot, that can affect other connections, as it is designed to connect the PS Vita. It has 3 options, so you could either cycle through these or turn it off completely and see how you get on.
