New to the berry world, need some direction
I have just purchased a BB Tour 9630, I'm trying to customize my emails with a signature as one can do in Outlook and many of the online email sites. I found one reference to doing it which said to click on a particular option on the BBDM (5.0) but that option does not appear on my screen.
Can anyone tell me how to do this or if there is some software I can get that will allow me to do it. Also would like to know if DM v5.0 does not include some options that were on the previous versions.

Depending on your email service, you have a few options:
If BES, go to (on the BB):
Homescreen > Messages > BBKey > Options > Email Settings > select your BES Message Service (usually "Desktop")
Then set "Use Auto Signature" to Yes...and fill in the space with what you desire.
If BIS, you have two methods:
1) On the BB, go to the device interface to BIS:
Homescreen > Setup > Email Settings
Click on the appropriate account and the screen display will have a "Signature" section.
2) From a PC/Browser, go to your carriers BIS website:

and log into your BIS account. Similar to the device interface, edit the desired account and modify the Signature section.

New to the game and need some quick help
I have been thrown our exisiting phone infrastructure and what do you know we are having some issues.
We have a new series of DID's and when they are dialed from our directory they go anywhere? Not routing to the proper extension. Translation pattern looks good in comparison to the extensions that are working.

DanFirst thing to know is that everything that has a DN can be used for routing, so it's a good idea to look at the route plan report to find matches.
If you can't find an exact match, chances are you're hitting something with wildcards ie X, [1-2], etc
An easy way to check routing if you're new to the game is to use DNA

New to SAP, need some direction
Hi everyone, pretty much as the title states, I'm brand new to SAP and I need some direction as to what's the best way to start learning it.
To make my long story short, the company I work for was going to transition from a home-grown Sybase application to SAP Business One. 9 months and $150k later, they decide SAP sucks. Which upsets me because there's about 20 pages of SAP related stuff on all the job hunting sites and I'm always looking to "broaden my horizons" or something like that.
So now that no one using SAP... I want to start taking it apart and learning how it works. I just have no idea where to begin. I looked at the FAQs and all, but I don't think I'm even at that point yet.
So how can someone completely new to SAP get started?

i have a canon hf10 and need to be able to transfer my video from my camera to my computer so I can burn them to dvd is there a step by step process? i'm new 2 the mac world. I tried downloading imovie 7.1.2 but it said, "An eligible iMovie application was not found in the location /Applications." can anyone give me step by step instructions? i would hate to call the geek squad!!!LOL
and what's a firewire port? how do i know if i have one?

I'm new to the MAC world. I turned my computer on from 'sleep' mode, and a window was up stating that the IOS disk was full; asked me to force quit, then it just froze. It's been 2 hours. Help! I'm worried about losing photos/videos of my children. Im not sure if there's something special I need to do once I turn it back on; in the meantime, its still on... which I'm afraid the picture on the screen will burn into the screen. Does that happen on iMac's? Thx!
Try a hard reset. ( holding Power til it restarts)
Once to your desktop. Click the Apple icon >> About this mac >> More info>> Storage
Once you see what you have the most of. Try to see what you can delete.
Open up any folder>>all files>> or buy an external to store more data.
Once deleting make sure you empty your trash.
If you are new and its a new computer, you might need to bring it to a store for further assistence.

hi.. i'm about to buy a new macbook pro and i need some pros and cons of SSD.... i'm not sure which is really better, the regular hard drive or the SSD... because if i buy the mac with SSD it would be the 128GB, so i want to know how would that affect the overall performance of the computer...
Thanks!I would suggest that you purchase the SSD through a third party source. You will save money that way.
Regarding the performance, go to the OWC web site. They have bench tested their SSD vs conventional HDD and have published the results for anyone to see,
The difference between the 128GB and the 256GB drives is capacity, no practical change to performance.

Why is my iMovie shutting down everytime I try to share it to iDVD? Help I am new to the Apple world, what am I doing wrong? I have already shared 2 iMovies but this 3rd one is giving me trouble!

• How much free space is there on Your Start-Up Hard Disk ?
If less than 25Gb - then iDVD will get a hard task as iDVD and Mac OS needs this space for it's pref files (can't be easily addressed to other hard disk)
Then
• I do not use "Share to iDVD" - but - "Share to Media Browser" and as Large (not HD or other resolution)
If still problem - then
• Material used in iMovie can be the problem maker eg .mp3 audio and .avi, .wmv/a files etc.

Sorry, I'm new to the Mac world. I recently got a new IMAC and installed my Epson CX5800F printer and it worked fine. Then a few weeks later I installed Windows7 through Bootcamp and I think it reconfigured a port or something and now I get a communication error and it won't print. there is panel in the upper right corner of my screen that says 'copy' preparing to duplicate to "desktop". I clicked stop three days ago and it is still trying to stop. Tried to 'force quit' does not show up in finder, looked in activity monitor but i am not sure how it is listed. I am new to the mac world.
Force quit/Restart the Finder.
Then for safety...
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions. -
New to the iPad world. Need PDF help!
I have some work related ebooks online that come up on the web page as a PDF. I don't see where I can save the PDF so I can view it later offline, like on a PC. I need to be able to review them when on an airplane or when Internet is not available. Suggestions?
In order to save content on the iPad you need an app that supports that file type - unlike a 'normal' computer the iPad doesn't have a file system, and everything on it has to be associated with an app.
Apps that support PDFs include Apple's iBooks app and the Adobe Reader app. When you have a pdf app installed on your iPad you should be able to tap on the open PDFs in Safari and you should get an 'open in' option which will allow you to save it to your app. -
Need some direction on FW Redundancy and opening ports
I would appreciate any advice on the current ways of connecting 2 Firewalls directly for redundancy and also the best practice for allowing data through the firewall. Do firewalls have a stacking technology similar to StackWise or FlexStack? I need to allow specific ports through my network into another private network. Although this won't be connected to the internet the same type of security as if it were, is important. Sorry if this is a generic question but what methods would be best for allowing data to and from through my network firewall? I would grealty appreciate any sample configurations (I don't plan on configuring zones) or documentation on the current way of allowing these functions. Thanks for your help!

There are 2 different options to my knowledge to have firewall redundancy with Cisco firewalls.
The most common one is Active/Standby Failover which you have 2 identical (hardware & software) Cisco firewalls connected by a Failover link. One of the the firewalls is the Active unit and handles traffic while the other unit is Standby monitoring the state of the Active device (and vice versa). When the Active unit fails the Standby unit will take the Active role.
Another option is Active/Active which basically means that you would be running multiple virtual Firewalls inside the actual hardware firewall. Some virtual firewalls would be Active on hardware unit 1 and some virtual firewalls would be Active unit would be Active on hardware unit 2. Hence the term Active/Active, both firewalls would be handling traffic.

The second and new option is Cluster setup where you essentially combine multiple identical firewalls together. This is a subject though that I have not gotten to test myself so my knowledge is very limited. Though to my understanding this is available only with high end ASA5585-X units so it might not be an option for most.

So most likely you will be using Active/Standby Failover with 2 identical Cisco firewalls.
Their configuration format compared to a standalone firewall doesnt differ much.
You will configure a "standby" IP address also on the ASA that will be the IP address that the Standby unit uses
You will configure the actual Failover interface
You will configure general Failover related settings
You can tune the Failover settings and define which interfaces are monitored (and can effect the Failover) and set some other additional parameters
So there is not that much to configure compared to the standalone Cisco firewall setup.
Your post seems to indicate that this firewall or firewall pair would be used for Internal network usage. I mean a firewall between 2 LAN/DMZ networks. This would in turn mean that unless you specifically need NAT between these network segments, you could actually leave the NAT configuration of the firewall completely blank and only configure the Routing&Firewalling related settings.
How you would configure access between the 2 different network segments would naturally depend on your own setup.
From what I understood from your above post it would seem to me that you should configure ACLs on both interfaces connected to their own network segments. These ACLs would be configured in Inbound direction (which would control traffic heading towards the firewall from that segment and into the other segment). You could then configure both ACLs in the manner that ONLY the required source/destination IP addresses/networks/ports are allowed and all other traffic is blocked.
I am not really sure what kind of example configuration we could give you as we dont really know what the whole setup is going to be.

I am tired of just all the problems that windows brings and will be going to the apple store and buying an iMac. I need some help though.
I know this has probably been answered alot but I have searched and have only really found one thread asking this question.
Should I buy the iMac 2.0 or the 2.4. I don't play any games on the computer. What I do use it for is photos, watching dvds at times, browsing the net. At times I can be on AIM, the internet and messing with photos all at the same time. If I buy the 2.0 and get 2GB of RAM will this suffice for my needs and still run really smooth. Please any feedback will be great cause I really want to get a mac but just not sure which one to go with.I'm going to be really annoying right now. I would say that you're choice isn't really between the 2.0 and the 2.4. I'd say it's between the 2.0 and 2.8.
Personally I think that for the difference in price, when compared with the 2.4, the 2.8 is worth the extra (more hard disk space, more ram and a faster processor). So the big question is the 2.0 or the 2.8.
So you've got the bigger hard disk, more ram, 1ghz (roughly) faster processor (in each core that is), the better graphics card, and the bigger and better screen. And that little list, combined with the fact you can't upgrade much later, made me go for the 2.8. I have no regrets and now don't know how I lived without the real estate that the 24" screen has given me (it's quite often full and I'm very grateful for spaces lol).
Most people will wonder how. Just think of what it's like when you've got itunes, your browser, amsn, streaming the news, email and maybe a word document. Well that's most of my spaces gone on this size screen.
Basically go with the best spec that you can afford to. By all means don't spend more than you can. But if you don't get the best you can now, then you'll be kicking yourself a year or so down the line.
