New to Verizon and Confused by Options
Hi,
I am brand new to Verizon Wireless and LOVE the improved coverage and reception that I get over my old carrier.
I know these terms are probably covered somewhere else but I haven't found a clear explanation of what some of the features are and if they involve extra charges. I am wondering if someone can help. I have a family shared plan for voice and the standard data plan for my new Samsung Fascinate (which I love too ... even compared to my previous phone, the Nexus One.)

VZ Navigator provides visual and audible directions to a destination, locate businesses and other places in an area, get a map of a location, bookmark favorites and recent searches, and even share locations with others.There is a monthly subscription fee if activated for $9.99.
NFL Mobile provides live video, audio, news and information throughout the NFL Season. Requires a $10 V Cast Video Subscription.

Day 11 of 14, New too Verizon and the new Thunderbolt, do we keep it or send it back?
I have had a number of surprises so far after coming to Verizon with the new Thunderbolt.. We ordered 2 bolts. The battery issue was disappointing, but a bigger battery will fix it, and/or a daily charge seems to take care of it.
I live in the country on fridge of the city, my wife came from provider Sprint, and I came from AT&T. We never had problems with our prior carriers, but must be out of range for the Verizon tower due to the bad signal and sound quality when making calls from the house. Verizon suggested a network extender, so we had them send us one. It did fix the signal and the noise problems at home. Plus can take with us on the road,, guess this problem is fixed too.
My wife's Bolt had static and noise in any area, 3G or 4G. Mine has been great. I called Verizon they said to take it to a Verizon store for an exchange. I bought the phone online with Verizon, but the brick and mortar stores said they could not do it, I complained and did get them to change out the wife's Bolt. The replacement serial and mac address was several thousand letters and numbers higher, so expect her phone was built early, but the new replacement is quiet, no noise problem solved.
The 4G is very fast, speetest.net I was surprised how fast it is. I love the phone, but I worry with all the issues people keep finding, and I really have not seen any official Verizon communications on what is actual and what might be in progress to fix for good. Forums are great, but does Verizon read these posts?
I am on day 11 of 14. First timer to Verizon, Thunderbolts aside, do you like them as a wireless carrier? Thunderbolt's, we like them very much, but I now wonder if maybe insurance is a good idea, seems like we may have many issues in the future too. I was on the build team for the HP Glisten, we had many issues on our first phones too, but eventually got it fixed too, in fact the prototype I still had when I left AT&T to come to Verizon. I think we are going to give the phones a couple more days of heavy workout, and then decide.So far so good, a few hiccups but Verizon has supported me so far on each issue. Some responders from the support line where not as good as others, but I did find several who were more than helpful. The forums here are helpful too, aggravation does make some of the posts bias against the phone, but there are some good posts out there and the solution found posts will help us all.
Everyone who owns a Thunderbolt just needs a little patience, it is a new and powerful device. I'm sure HTC and Verizon are working out the confirmed bugs, and will roll out confirmed updates when they have gathered more data. When I was prototyping the obsidian, which we marketed as the glisten, we had many issues too, but in the end worked most of them out.
The thunderbolt should also follow same result as long as Verizon and HTC keep it in the front line, so far they are still marketing it, even with having the Iphone now in their portfolio. I viewed a wirefly.com smackdown between the Thunderbolt and the new Iphone, and to me, I do like the Thunderbolt best. On to day 12, so far so good. -
ETA or info on new book size and paper stock options, etc.
I don't know if printing services do or would coincide with product updates, and therefore we should expect these to come with a product update or not, but does anyone have any idea if there will ever be additional book sizes, paper stock and/or cover options for the books printed from Aperture?
I've printed four books from Aperture, and they make decent keepsakes, but I'd really like to step up to thicker paper stock and cover options like leather.
Is any of this in the works?

1) I have design the selection screen by using Select-options statement. In that i have to initialize both low and high values. I don't know how to write and where to write the code for the same.
2) and another requirement as

Field B contain values (1, 0, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1)

In the above case how many times At new statement calls.
3) How is EXIT differ to STOP and CONTINUE. Please give me the brief idea on this.

Select-options could be initialised with the command INITIALIZATION.
Ex :
tables : MARA.
select-options : s_matnr for mara-matnr.
Intialization.
move : '123456789' to s_matnr-low ,
'I' to s_matnr-sign ,
'EQ' to s_matnr-option.
append s_matnr.
I means Include, the other possible value is E for exclude.
EQ means EQual, could be BT BeTween ...
The structure of a select-options is : Sign, Option, Low and High. (Low and High is the two values you see in screen).
The commande Initialization could be place anywhere outside the start-of-selection ... end-of-selection.

I am new to Verizon and cannot send pic msgs to Att
I Am trying to send important Daily pics to ATT phones and none of them are getting the pics;Only others people w/ different Carriers. I didn't have this issue w/ last provider and I work tech support, so I know it's not a device issue.

New to Verizon and 50 monthly prepay plan
Okay, I understand when the next payment for prepay is the 16th of Dec. BUT, I don't understand when on "My Verizon" it says next payment due 2/16/12? I have a balance in my account to cover next months prepay plan. Also, will they take it out automatically from my account balance? I've read and just don't understand the 2/16/12 expiration? Thanks in advance.
As I understand it with prepay when you purchase funds for your account, those funds expire after a certain time period, unless you add more funds to your balance. Your expiration date is then pushed back a certain amount of time depending on the amount of funds you have deposited. The more money you deposit into your account, the more time you have before it expires. Any money still in your account after the expiration date would be forfeited.

What do you guys think about this?

Help needed...New to blackberry and confused!
Hey everyone. I have had my blackberry for about a week now, and am finally getting used to it. However, it seems that my device is connecting to the internet at 3.06am every single morning, for exactly 6 hours and I dont know why? Obviously I am fast asleep and not using my phone at this time! My daughter forgot her passcode. Phone is now disabled. I attempted restore procedures by placing phone in restore mode and connected it to the computer / itunes with which it was originally synced. itunes recognized phone in restore mode and said I must restore. I clicked restore, restore and update. Update began, itunes recognized the device by name and gave error message that stated I must have the passcode to restore. There was no option to restore as new. I attempted to restore the iphone 4s on another computer by instaling itunes, but same error messages appeared. I contacted Verizon and they said they could not help me. The nearest apple retail store is over 40 miles away. PLEASE HELP!

If you have forgotten your Restrictions code, then follow the instructions
below but DO NOT restore any previous backup. If you do then you will
simply be restoring the old Restrictions code you have forgotten. This
same warning applies if you need to restore a clean system.
A Complete Guide to Restore or Recover Your iDevice (if You Forget Your Passcode)
If you need to restore your device or ff you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and re-sync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.
Try restoring the iOS device if backing up and erasing all content and settings doesn't resolve the issue. Using iTunes to restore iOS devices is part of standard isolation troubleshooting. Restoring your device will delete all data and content, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, and calendar information, and will restore all settings to their factory condition.
Before restoring your iOS device, Apple recommends that you either sync with iTunes to transfer any purchases you have made, or back up new data (data acquired after your last sync). If you have movie rentals on the device, see iTunes Store movie rental usage rights in the United States before restoring.
Follow these steps to restore your device:
1. Verify that you are using the latest version of iTunes before attempting to update.
2. Connect your device to your computer.
3. Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
4. Select the Summary tab.
5. Select the Restore option.
6. When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the Back Up
option (see in the image below). If you have just backed up the device, it is not
necessary to create another.
7. Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up,
you should not have to worry about restoring your iOS device).
8. When the restore process has completed, the device restarts and displays the Apple
logo while starting up:
After a restore, the iOS device displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen. For updating
to iOS 5 or later, follow the steps in the iOS Setup Assistant. For earlier versions of
iOS, keep your device connected until the "Connect to iTunes" screen goes away or
you see "iPhone is activated."
9. The final step is to restore your device from a previous backup.
If you can not restore your device then you will need to go to recovery mode.
Placing your device into recovery mode:
Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the other end
of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the
red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake
and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake
and Home buttons.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device.
The device should turn on. Note: If you see the screen pictured below, let the device
charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then
start with step 2 again.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
When this screen appears you can release the Home button.
5. If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the following "recovery mode" alert:

If you don't see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.

Note: When using recovery mode, you can only restore the device. All user content on the device will be erased, but if you had previously synced with iTunes on this computer, you can restore from a previous backup. See this article for more information. -
I upgraded to iPhoto 11 from iPhoto 08 at the end of March, 2012. Since then, although all my photos appear in the library,and the number of events tally goes up, no new events show up in Events. My iPhoto is getting very mess and confusing. I have checked preferences, and they are the same as what I always had (one event/day)
Go into the Event mode and set the View ➙ Sort menu option to By Date, either ascending or descending, and look for the new events at the top or bottom of the list.
You can view the last import in the Last Import section and then Control (right) click on one of the photos and select Show Event. That will take you to the event where you can rename it at the top and then check to see where in the list it is placed.

Hi! I used to have an Android G2 but it broke recently. Instead of buying a new one, an old friend of mine let me have his old Verizon iPhone 4s. Can I take it to Verizon and have it as a temporary phone?
There's a couple options. It's not the easiest. Another way to not have to wait is to call V from another phone 8009220204 and they can activate it and walk you thru settings. Depending on where youre located CS might be closed but if you got the prompt for emergency tech support they are 24/7.

What a horrible way to treat customers. I was due for updates on my phones and thought I should maybe check some other prices but have been with Verizon for 20 yrs so ended up there. I got 2 new IPhones 5s and the wife couldn’t decide what she wanted so she stayed with old phone but this locked me into a new 2 yr contract . Within a wk one of the new iPhones started turning on and of like 10 –15 times a day. Wk 2 it turned off and would not turn on again . It was my sons who was in college at the time so we talked and he took it in to a Verizon store where he was told I need to come in since the account was in my name. He was away from home , Verizon could see on account it was his phone they said it was not abused, they could not even turn it on , they sold me the phone give him another phone maybe even a loaner till he gets another. So now I need to go to store and explain to 3 different people this is my phone and my son has it and I need a new one. what a waste of time after about 2 hrs and talking to different people and yes they said there were notes on his account from other person he had talked to from different store. So I finally walk out with a receipt in hand and being told I would have a new phone in a couple days. As I sat in my vehicle thinking this is stupid I looked at my receipt and noticed it said droid on it so back into Verizon I went. The salesman said that’s what your son has on his account. My son had activated a friends old phone so he has one since VERIZON REFUSED to give him one. Another hr 3 people and yes they can see he had a new iPhone and notes on it from other store. Sometimes sorry just doesn't do it. I was now late for a appointment . Now I walk out and have been told I will get a new iPhone in the mail in about 2 wk Yes 2 wks again I bought it there just give me a new one and you send old one back. I will also get a new droid that I have to send back because they said they cant cancel it . In about 3 days I get the Droid and sent it back Verizon mistake and a waste of my time . After waiting over 2 wks and not receiving a new iPhone back to Verizon I went . I am now bitter at Verizon after doing 20 yrs of business with them. 3 people 1 hr later I was told it got delivered to my post office . I got the tracking num called the post office and they say o yes that was the droid. Go back in to Verizon another hr of explaining I walk out being told I will get a new iPhone in a couple of days, We’ll see . Once again I got the phone in your store just give me a new one . Do you realize how much of my time you have wasted ? do you care? O what is Your Policy ? How many Billion did you make last year ? I am Locked into a new 2 yr contract . Why don’t you just release me ? After 20 yrs do you think I will ever renew my contract ?

Since Apple has stopped supporting and offering iDVD you'll need to purchase the iLIfe 11 disk from a 3rd party retailer like Amazon.com: iLife 11 which will include iDVD 7.
