New toolbar and toolbuttons

I have been able to create a new toolbar and activate it. It has a separator as the first button a button with callback action as the second button. no problems there. When i add a third button with callback it appears as it is supposed to beside the second. but the third button also appears beside the separator on the "Tasks" toolbar. Any ideas as to why?

Leonard - it is fixed. strange though. i started an entirely new project and cut and pasted the code into pluginit.cpp. I then just changed the names of the variables for the buttons. It compiled and activated perfectly. I have no idea as to why. Now I have a problem with getting the con to show on the button. Again it is a problem that exists with this plugin but not another i have done.

How to add URLs and/or bookmarks to a new toolbar

I can create a new toolbar and drag buttons from/to the 'Customize Toolbar' dialog, and that new toolbar will be visible.
But I want to use that new toolbar for extra favorite URLs and/or bookmarks. That does not seem to be allowed.
I _can_ drag the 'Bookmark toolbar items' icon from the Bookmarks toolbar, but that does not solve my problem, now does it?

There is one "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" container available for storing bookmarks, and that is where bookmarks are placed if you want them on a Toolbar. I have never seen an add-on that changes that by adding a 2nd "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" container.
I understand that you want to reduce the toolbar area at the top of the browser window, because I have been doing that for almost as long as I have been using Firefox ''(since 2002 when it was called Phoenix)''. The first thing I do is to get rid of or '''reduce the Menu Bar down to one button''' using one of the various Compact Menu extensions that have been available over the years. When I open a "New Window" or a "link" does so, my customized "add(ed) new toolbar" disappears. FF version up to date.

I have used the reset preferences option. I had to recreate all items I previously had in the toolbars. And had to "Add a New toolbar" and add the items i had in that, also.
I also used the fix for a corrupt local.rdf file. No joy. At first I did not know why I was losing my custom toolbar. But I started paying extra attention and found out how to recreate the problem. I f a link opened a new window it opened without the custom toolbar. If I closed that window before closing the original window the custom settings where maintained.
If I opened a new window or selected a opened tab to open or duplicate in a new window the custom toolbar was gone. Again, if I closed the "new" window b4 I closed the original window all was good. But if I close the original window and the the new window the next time I open firefox the custom toolbar is gone. Righting clicking on a clear spot of a toolbar to open the "Customize Toolbar" dialog the name of my custom created toolbar is missing also.

I have never had this problem with FF before. I did not post asking for help until I could recreate the problem so that I could tell you when it happened.

I did find the problem... It was the DivX Plugin for Firefox. I just found I wasn't using it. I went to Add/Remove Programs and uninstalled it. FYI I am running Windows 7.

Can I make new toolbars in PE 13?

I have been using Photo Impact for many years, happy with it, but I have now upgraded my camera to a DSLR and have a need to edit RAW images which Photo Impact will not do, at least not my Version 12, I tried X3 but no good. I bought PE 9 and 12 but never used them, I have bought V 13 and installed. Here are my questions: Is there one tutorial file I can download that covers everything, I tried to save a video file but nothing appeared to happen, also, can I make new toolbars and put in there items such as Resize, White Balance, Sharpen, Save for the Web, Image properties etc, etc. Appreciate any assistance.

How do I get rid of the new toolbar that was added by versions 20 and 21?

I have tried both versions 20 and 21 and both have the bugs below so I ended up having to re-install version 19:
1.) Versions 20 and 21 add a new toolbar that has nothing but a "Firefox" button on it - and no way to get rid of this toolbar is provided. It wastes far too much space on my laptop's screen - that button should have been put on one of the other toolbars or simply made part of the icon set that users can use to customize their menubar or other toolbars.
2.) That new toolbar is not customizable. Hence, I don't have the option of recovering screen space by moving everything from my menubar onto the new toolbar then hiding the menubar.
3.) The back, forward, and stop|reload buttons on my menubar no longer work. Moving them back to the navigation toolbar and showing that toolbar does not solve the problem. Nor can I right-click on a web page and select those functions from the context menu: they are permanently disabled there too.
4.) I can no longer right click on the menubar or a toolbar and get a context menu from which you I can pick a "customize" option - I can't get a context menu AT ALL. In order to customize things for versions 20 or 21, I first have to reinstall version 19, do the customizations, then reinstall version 20 or 21.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

Since the 4.0.1 update the first Firefox window I open refuses to open tabs, only new windows, and all refuse to show my bookmarks toolbar. All Sync settings and account seem lost.

G'day again, I've also lost the option of a 'Stop loading' or 'Refresh' button.

Is there a way to have the 'new tab' icon on the toolbar AND have the "new tab" button at the right end of my tabs, as before? It seems to be either/or.

Under the previous version of Firefox I had the "new tab" option in both locations. When I upgraded, the one at the end of the tab line had disappeared. I used the suggestion from the forum to reset to default and it did reappear, but the icon in the toolbar had disappeared. Since there is no + in the customization window I cannot place a new one, and if I drag and drop from the tab bar it moves to the toolbar, but will not duplicate itself. I use either of these interchangeably, and having only one or the other is a real annoyance, and does slow me down when doing multiple searches or otherwise utilizing multiple tabs.

Hi, I have a similar problem with 12.0 of Firefox. The 'Add New Tab' tab has moved from the righthand end of open tabs to the left hand end.
If I right click on an empty tab area and select customize the "Add New Tab' tab disappears and an Add New Tab icon appears at the right hand end. I can drag and drop this icon into the Customize Toolbar window.
However if I drag it from the window back to the Tab toolbar area on the right. It initially appears on the right. Then clicking 'Done' on the Customize Toolbar window converts the icon to a tab but places it back at the left hand end of the tabs.
I'm sure this didn't happen before - so it's a possibility I have messed something up but I can't seem to correct it?

I went into the PC settings and tried to change the display resolution. This changes the size of all the icons (not only Adobe) but it does not solve the problem when I open an Adobe application (Photoshop or Illustrator)... The PC is run under Windows 8.1 and my display resolution is 3200x1800 (but again, when I change the settings for a smaller resolution, only the size of the icons is affected. Once I open the software, the problem is still there, extra-small toolbars...). Help!!!

Anything before CC is not high-DPI compatible. Feel free to continue to experiment with your system settings.

Add-ons contain a range of compatible Firefox versions, and Firefox honors the listed range by disabling the add-on if you are trying to run it on an unlisted version.
I'm sure Yahoo! will update its toolbar eventually, but not every add-on maker supports beta versions of software.

There was a "new window" and a "new tab" icon that could be dragged from the Customize window to the toolbar. In 7 & 8 there is still a "new window" icon but there is no new tab icon to be found in Customize. Where can I add a "new tab" to the toolbar?

You can find the New Tab button showing as a '+' on the Tab bar. 
You can open the Customize window and drag the New Tab button that shows as a plus sign (+) from the Tab bar on another toolbar and it will become a regular toolbar button like the New Tab button that you have in Firefox 3 versions. 
If you can't find the New Tab button then click the "Restore Default Set" button in the Customize window. 
If you want the New Tab button at the far right end of the Tab bar then place a flexible space to the left of it.

The Firefox icon is the default feature for Windows Vista and 7 only, it does not apply to Windows XP users.
To have the Firefox icon instead of the Menu Bar:
View > Toolbars and UNCHECK the Menu Bar.
After that, click on the Firefox icon and you'll have the Menu Bar appear again.

I have set my homepage to ATT but the toolbar and my previous bookmark list is missing. I can't pull up the toolbar. I have read the troubleshooting page but it does not give me an answer. There is a OneClickdigital ereader available in the App Store. Download that to your iPod to read pdfs and books from the library. And you might need to download the OneClickdigital eaudio player to listen to audiobooks from the library. Once both are downloaded sync you iPod again to transfer them.

I want to unistall the newer version of firefox. I liked my google toolbar and I can not use it with the newer version.

I haven't installed the newer version because my Google add on would not work with it. Some how it installed itself today and I don't like it. I want my Google toolbar. I would like to uninstall this newer version and go back to the older version, Can I please get some help with this?

Opening new HTML window without toolbars and set size.

Hi, I am researching the possibilities for opening a new HTML
window without toolbars and at a certain size. I have found a bunch
of tutorials and even this guide here at adobe:

I work in Flash 8 and I use Dreamweaver 8.2 (with all the
latest updates). As you know Dreamweaver uses Java Script to
implement Flash into a HTML page. By generating a folder called
Scripts and the file AC_RunActiveContent.js
So I tri the methods described in the above technote. I even
found a guide at kirupa...and at flashkit. I even downloaded an
example file from Flashkit. But any implementation of any of the
methods above in a Flash 8 file implemented with DW does NOT work.
I am not a hardcore programmer. I am more the kind of guy who
finds code that works and moulds it to my purpose. Copy and paste
programming if you may. So its not so easy for me to see why it
wont work and where the problem is. But I do have a suspicion
towards the javascript flash implementation that Dreamweaver does.
So if anyone have guide or tips to how I can use Flash 8 and
DW 8.2 and get flash to open a new HTML window with a certain size
and without scroll or toolbars..that would be GREAT!!

The TechNotes are from the Cold Fusion site at Adobe. I am
not certain, but I think that you need to be using Cold Fusion on
your websites server to be able to use the functions to which you
refer. Again, I am not certain that I am right here, but it could
be a place to start research into the problem.
