New touchscreen phone feature

Anyone know if Blackberry is planning on coming out with a touchscreen that has a hidden keyboard that you can slide out or flip open to?

While nothing official from RIM has been stated or published, the blogs have this informatoin on the 9800 "Slider" device.

New iPhones don't come setup with an Apple ID/Password. What you're experiencing is called Activation Lock, & unless you know the original Apple ID/Password that was originally used to first activate this phone, you won't be able to reactivate it.
You can login to iCloud.com, from any computer, use Find My Phone to locate & erase the phone. But, you'll still need to know the original Apple ID/Password to reactivate it.

Does the new IOS 6 phone features require caller id?

I updated my phone today to IOS 6 and the new phone features are not working on my iphone 4s any help?

I had the same problems...first on your settings you have to type in your own replies - the grey ones are just suggestions as to what to write. Just go to each one and start typing the grey will disappear and your messages will come up and be saved.
The second problem was that I wasn't seeing the "options" when my phone rang. I thought it was a problem -it isn't, you have to "swipe up" on the telephone or camera icon on the right hand side of where it says "decline or answer" then the options menu will appear. I tried it about 10 times and it all works perfectly!! Good luck!! :)

HT1349 I need to turn off the "find my phone" feature on my iPhone 5. The company I worked for took back their iPhone and now I cannot receive texts on my new LG F6 phone. Can I do this w/o the serial number?

I replaced my iPhone 5 with an LG F6 phone and now I cannot receive text messages from my friends with iPhones. Can somebody please tell me where to go to turn off the "Find your phone" feature and what ever else I need to turn off to accomplish this objective? Thank you.

Find My iPhone has nothing to do with receiving or not receiving text messages.
What you should have done is turn off iMessage prior to handing over the device.

Tthe thing is when i just went to go manually start dowmloading a few of the songs that i knew i already bought , itunes is making me pay forthem again. Its not saying instal like it usuall does when you go download something aleady purchased on your itunes account. I think or thought it might have something to do with the fact that i just changed my apple id name right before i got my new phine but my apps all re-downloaded (manually-no syncing) without making me pay for them again. i dont want to have to purchase allllll my songs again. Can someone please help me!! Itried going back to my old id or signing out of this id and signing in as my old apple id but now it wot even get on that oneits likjeit doesnt exist anymore.. No it's not stealing. They have an allowance that you can share with so many computers/devices. You'll have to authorize her computer to play/use anything bought on your acct. You can do this under the Store menu at top when iTunes is open on her computer.
As far as getting it all on her computer....I think but I am not sure (because I don't use the feature) but I think if you turn on Home Sharing in iTunes it may copy the music to her computer. I don't know maybe it just streams it. If nothing else you can sign into your acct on her computer and download it all to her computer from the cloud. Not sure exactly how to go about that, I haven't had to do that yet. I wonder if once you authorize her computer and then set it up for automatic downloads (under Edit>Preferences>Store) if everything would download. Sorry I'm not much help on that.

Basic phone features for next OS update...

Hi there,
I was an Apple virgin until 2 days ago. I love the new phone, with the apps and all its other functions.
BUT, having used most other brands of phone, I have to say that it does lack some very basic functions I expect in a phone:
1. sms delivery reports, and the ability to set the period of validity of the sms
2. setting up groups within my contacts
3. being able to choose easily multiple profiles other than just ring or silent
4. being able to create templates of often used phrases/addresses/tel numbers to use in sms messages
5. choose different sounds for different events, i.e. new email, voicemail, sms
these are just a few of the things i noticed straight away, (they maybe more!) they are just basic, basic phone features which have been available from mobiles for almost the beginning.
Does anyone agree, maybe if anyone on Apple reads these post can do something about it?

It won't hurt in the slightest to send feedback to Apple, but it's safe to assume that these subject have all been covered here in the forums for several years now.
Most of the "issues" you list have been discussed at length and I hope you did a search first before buying the iPhone so you're not too disappointed.

Can we stop the use of the "Find My Phone" feature on a company issued phone

How can a company stop an end user from setting up the "Find My Phone" feature on their personal iCloud account with a company issued iPhone?

You can remove the SIM card to prevent any cell phone services and use the iPhone as an iPod Touch.
You can cancel your service with AT&T or use the SIM card with another phone, or get a new phone with AT&T using the SIM card that shipped with the new phone to activate phone and use the iPhone as an iPod Touch.
In order to install a firmware update on a no longer activated iPhone, or restore a no longer activated iPhone with iTunes if wanted or needed, the no longer activated SIM card must be inserted in the iPhone to complete the process - the SIM card that was used with the iPhone when it was activated.

New I phone 5 - camera doesn't work

Camera is not functioning
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Third-party cases can interfere with the autofocus/exposure feature and the flash (iPhone 4 only); try removing the case if you have image-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center. Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. After recording begins, you cannot readjust focus until you stop recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll. Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.
Is the camera app not opening? Or the app will open but the camera won't take pictures?

Transfering music from my i tunes to m new i phone 5

I connected my new i phone 5 to my computer in order to transfer my music from i tunes, but my iphone does not show anywhere. Is it possible that my operating system is too old? Are they not compatible? 10.4.11

New swipe photo feature in Messages produces blurry photos

On my phone 6, it seems like every time I've tried to send a photo through the new Messages swipe feature, they come out very blurry. It could be because I'm doing this with one hand and the swipe is causing the phone to jerk, but thought I'd see if anyone else was experiencing this too.
What makes this a neat feature is that I don't have to use two hands to hold still, just curious if I'm doing it wrong.

supposedly a new list for photos is to appear under my apple tv in devices. all of the previous ones are there (music, tv shows, podcasts, etc) but no photos
Devices only show in this list when they sync with itunes, streaming devices don't show in this list. But you are essentially correct we seem to be missing the option in itunes to turn on photo streaming, we are all looking, I'd wondered if it only appears during the process of registering the tv with itunes.

If I delete an email on my new I phone, it also deletes the email on my computer. I use Yahoo mail.

On my old Blackberry Storm, when deleting an email, I got the choice, "delete on handheld only", and the email only deleted on my phone, not my computer also. However, with my new I phone 5, when I delete an email I only get the choice of "delete" or "cancel", and if I delete, it also deletes the email on my Yahoo server on my PC.
My Yahoo settings seem to be limited, and is and has been set for "Access Yahoo mail via POP.. The only other option on Yahoo is "forward email" to another address.
I was on the phone with Apple last night for 90 minutes trying various things, and nothing worked. If you know how to fix or reset this feature either on the I phone or on Yahoo, I am all ears! Im really astounded that there isnt an easy Apple fix to this.....or maybe there is?

You probably have a POP3 email account. That's the way POP works. If you want to sync you must use an IMAP account and setup. Not all ISPs offer IMAP, so you may be stuck.
