So far I see nothing about connecting to Roku or Apple TV - not very comprehensive, Verizon.
Also I see that if you want to try to use the DSL speed optimizer, you have to use IE. Time to update your thinking, folks. While IE is good, there are many better ones (and no I'm not trying to start a 'what browser is best' war. Simple statement of fact - just limiting yourself to IE is very poor...)

User enters the paremter for the year, need help converting that to date

Hello!
I have a report that asks for the user what data they want to see based on the year. They will then enter 2007 for example. My problem is that when I use that parameter in the where clause I get an error -
ORA-01722 Invalid Number
Here is the line of code -

The :p_year is what I am referring to, I know if I hard code 2007 in there it works just fine. I've tired converting it to a char, converting it to a date, and even converting to a date and back to a char, but it is not working.
Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks!!

It all depends whether your input parameter is NUMBER, CHAR, DATE or SOMETHING_ELSE.

EReader books for Palm Z22 - need help reading them

I downloaded several ebooks and am trying to read them on my palm. They are pdb files, but I'm seeing that I need a prc file? Any suggestions on how to convert them or make them work? I'm still learning about my new play toy....

There are a number of different ebook formats for PalmOS devices and each has its own reader.
eReader is the most common reader application, followed by Plucker, MobiReader, iSilo, and PalmFiction.
Check back at the website you downloaded the books from to figure out which reader application you should be using.If necessary, download and install their ebook reader.
If you got them from one of the public domain ebook sites, such as Project Gutenberg or MobileRead, delete the files you have downloaded from both your handheld and computer and select a different format, such as eReader, and download and install them again.
You may need to download and install FileZ to delete the books since your installed reader cannot find them.

Si vous avez utilisé la commande Save As Template depuis Pages, il y a forcément un dossier
iWork > Pages
contenant Templates > My Templates
comme il y a un dossier
iWork > Numbers
contenant Templates > My Templates
Depuis le Finder, tapez cmd + f
puis configurez la recherche comme sur cette recopie d'écran.
puis lancez la recherche.
Ainsi, vous allez trouver vos modèles personnalisés dans leur dossier.
Chez moi, il y en a une kyrielle en dehors des dossiers standards parce que je renomme wxcvb.template quasiment tous mes documents Pages et wxcvb.nmbtemplate à peu près tous mes documents Numbers.
Ainsi, quand je travaille sur un document, je ne suis pas ralenti par Autosave.

First we need to know which one of the 9 different models of MacBook you have. To see which model you have go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info (and then System Report if you’re running 10.7 Lion). When System Profiler comes up check the Model Identifier and post it back here.
The Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody and the Late 2009 model 6,1 and Mid 2010 model 7,1 White Unibody have a Mini DisplayPort. The Early 2006 model 1,1 through Early 2008 model 4,1s plus the Early and Mid 2009 model 5,2s have Mini-DVI ports. Each would take a different adapter to connect with the TV.

I still can't get my contacts to open in Numbers like they used to do. I have a group of five addresses in a test folder in Mail called "untitled group." But no amount of pasting, dragging, etc can get them to open up in Numbers. My "real" folder has almost 100 addresses so I can't do it one by one.
Thoughts?

You can place contacts in a table In Numbers by the following methods:
Numbers 2.3:
drag from contacts
Numbers 3.2
copy from contacts, then paste into Numbers
In both cases you need to open System preferences, then select the "Security & Privacy panel and allow Numbers aaccess your contacts information.

The iPad is designed to be a single user device, and there is currently no way to password protect the Mail app - even removing the account password from Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars will just prevent new mail being downloaded, it won't hide those that have already been downloaded. There is this work-around for the app : https://discussions.apple.com/message/13127632#13127632 . Also there might be third-party email apps that feature password protecting.

Prepare Your Mac for Sale
Boot from the OS X Installer Disc One that came with the computer. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select the startup volume from the left side list then click on the Erase tab. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) then click on the Options button. Select the one pass Zero Data option and click on the OK button. Then click on the Erase button.
Note: You can skip the Zero Data option if you are not concerned about removing sensitive personal data from the hard drive. If you choose to skip this part of the process then it is possible for others to recover data from the hard drive. The Zero Data procedure will prevent others from getting access to your personal information.
This process will take 30 minutes to several hours depending upon the size of the hard drive. After formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer. Now complete the OS X installation. At the completion of the installation do not restart the computer. Instead just shut it off. The next user will be presented with the Setup Assistant when they turn on the computer just as it would if new out of the box.

If your profile is correct you're already on the final version of Snow Leopard (10.6.8). Sure it wasn't Lion it was asking for?
If that's the only version available on the app store, you'll need to source a copy of the iWork '09 DVD - not cheap now - only available via Amazon or eBay etc.
