New "unable to open communicaion device" message when using powerbook modem
I've never had a problem with dial-up until recently. I occasionally use Airport on a public wifi, nothing configured on my G4 12" Powerbook. Recently, when awaking from sleep and sometimes when the machine has been running, I started getting the subject message when opening Internet Connect. I've gone to Network Port Config. and re-ordered the ports ie. "Internal modem, Airport then built-in Ethernet and have tried turning all off except Internal Modem.
It usually clears with a restart. I'm on OS 10.4.11. Not sure if this is relevent but I had no problem until recently using System Update for a security update and maybe something for Airport.
I've rebuilt permissions and done full maintenance using Onyx. There a preference or something else I can check? Is something else tying up the port?
I'd really appreciate any advice.

Network>Location>New Location...
One an All OFF Location to reset the prts with...
Sometimes having an all OFF Location can help, thanks to Gnarlodious...

Now, just switching Locations may do it, or perhaps with the All OFF in between, or before Sleep.
Another thing that can prevent the losing signal on wake, is to disable Auto Login believe it or not!?

Quit the app, restart and then see if the button works.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button.Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad byholding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Try a reset as well if that does not work for you.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -

I'm unable to open Profile Mgr, even when using entire directory path in cmd line. I've tried the following commands in the command line:

Nothing happens with either command.
I'm also running Norton Internet Security. I read a help article Re Virtual Browsing features possibly causing a problem. The article said to check the virtualization setting in the internet security software and to clear the virtual cache. I went thru all of the settings menus in Norton Internet Security version 21.6.0.32 and I didn't see anything that looked like 'virtualization" settings, so I assumed that this doesn't apply to me.

Unable to open firefox - get message that " a copy is already open and only one copy can be open at a time. I have dragged the app to the waste basket and downloaded another firefox app. However same result". I have a IMAC , V.10.6.3.
I get above message when I click on the firefox icon.This worked, I used the method described in this link http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=365156, and opened the Mozilla profile screen with the terminal on my mac, using the language given in the links. Then I duplicated my original profile to save the bookmarks, etc. Put them in a folder listed Duplicate profile with the date. With the open profile screen, I deleted my original profile, created new profile folder and then a new profile. Note that profile cannot be created in the system library, it must be created on the disc, because the library will not allow writing into it. After I created my new profile folder, I dragged all my old information into it, and it worked. Firefox closed and the error disappeared. You must be VERY careful to make sure Firefox is closed anytime you are doing anything with the profile folders. I think that is what caused my original problem.

Have recently updated Adobe Reader and now unable to open downloaded documents - Message received is could not open 'file name.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded). Yes, I have near-perfect hearing too (for scope, squeaky brakes hurt my ears) I come from many conversations on many phones and types and first off, CDMA technology is great for coverage, terrible for voice quality. HD Voice in Europe made for some of the best phone conversations I've ever had.
Back on track, feedback is most noticable (similar to the landline phone) when using the iPhone without a headset, but for me it's not an absolute criticality mainly because I use VoIP apps alot, so maybe it has desensitized me some over the past year.
But whenever I'm on a call, and the other person has me on speakerphone, I have alot of trouble talking because of the feedback loop caused. So the less of my voice I hear the better I can talk.

Unable to open PDF directly if user use Acrobat 8.
We are facing some problems in our production site. When user click PDF icon, "FileDownload" windows pops up, but it only has "Save" or "Cancel" button, so user needs to download and save the file to open.

Error message when using search
why do i keep getting an error message when using the "search" tabe in iTunes. This happend whe i upgraded t the latest version of itunes.
Well, I believe JHeadstart does not really have this functionality.
One way is use a Query Operator 'startsWith', but then you always query like LIKE '<entered search value>%'
This is probably not what you want...
But you could hack it into advancedSearch in YourApplicationModuleImpl

Error message when using FM 'BAPI_BUPA_ADDRESS_CHANGE'.
I'm continually getting an error message when using FM 'BAPI_BUPA_ADDRESS_CHANGE'. The message being 'Table BAPIADTEL entry to be changed not found in target system'.
I have looked up this message but all links seem to refer to FM 'BAPI_BUPA_CENTRAL_CHANGE', which I'm not using, and has different parameter settings.
I'm simply trying to update the telephone number and I'm updating strcuture BAPIADTEL and BAPIADTELX but still the message appears. I know that there is a really simple reason for this, but I have been double-checking everything and experimenting with lots of different areas, but with no effect.
Has anyone encountered this problem using the specific FM ''BAPI_BUPA_ADDRESS_CHANGE' ?.

In case your database tables had already value for field telephone number, then only the flag should be "U".
If the telephone number field was empty, and we will try to change it by using the flag as U, it wont work. In this case, we should be using "I".
I even wrote that before in this post, but somehow I guess the post was locked, and a lot of comments from you and me were not visible apart from the first two. So, I couldnt get any update from you.
