New unwanted button on graph control
It's been a while since updating graph controls. On a new project in CVI Version 10.0 Every time I add a new graph control I get a button attached to the side of the graph. I want to delete it. I do not remember it doing this in version 6.0. How is it possible to hide it?
If you are talking about what I think you are talking about, then this is not actually a button. It is the Legend for the graph. You can disable with the Legend Visible property or with the Show Legend check box in the Edit Graph dialog as shown below.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.Hi,
How many SQL Server instances were installed on the server?
Have you tried to connect this instance from another machine using SQL Server Management Studio?
1. Try the solution by Zack1223 in the link below. Delete the shell folder in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\ and check the result.

2. Try to download and install shared management objects to fix this issue. Download here:

In previous version of Firefox, the "add-a-new-tab" button has been located to the right of any existing tabs. In the latest version it's been moved to the far right of the screen. In tablet mode, this is too far to reach conveniently for a left-hander. I cannot find any controls to re-configure it to the way it used to be and I can't "drag" it to where I want it. Is there a way to relocate it?
Thanks. I don't know why it wouldn't just go back there when I tried putting it back? I didn't change anything, so I assumed the new "default" was over on the left. Glad it was a simple solution after all.

I recently updated to Firefox 3.6.17 and now my "Open a new tab" + button has become useless, it is still there, it just doesn't work anymore, how can I fix this, any suggestions?
Uninstall the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox that prevents new tabs from being opened.
There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:
* Check the Windows Control panel for the Ask Toolbar - http://about.ask.com/apn/toolbar/docs/default/faq/en/ff/index.html#na4
* Also check your list of extensions, you may be able to uninstall it from there - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+add-ons -
Even if I click the new tab button, I don't get new tabs.......Please help..
The Ask Toolbar is causing that in the Firefox 3.6.13+ versions. Uninstall that extension.

The "open a new tab" button does not open a new tab.
The "open a new tab" button does not work. Neither does "file; new tab", or Control T. Can you please tell me how to fix this?
Thank you.This issue can be caused by the Ask<i></i>.com toolbar (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)
Your system details show that toolbar in the user agent as AskTbBCPA/3.13.1.18107

New tab "+" button moved to the right edge; how to move it back?
It used to be (like yesterday) that when I had a number of tabs open, the "mini-tab" "+" (new tab) button would be to the right of the last tab. Now, suddenly, it's all the way towards the right edge of the browser window, regardless of how many tabs are open. If there are a small number of tabs open, there is unused space (where more tabs would go).
Okay -- so I'm change adverse -- how do I move the new tab "+" button over to the end of the list of tabs?
Thanks.Although the "+" appears on the far right end of the bar when you are in Customize mode, it should slide over next to the last tab once you close out of Customize.
If it doesn't, I wonder whether something else could be in between, such as an old "flexible space" control? (These are no longer in the Customize dialog as an option, but I don't know whether old ones were removed.)
Following the old principle of turning it off and back on again, could you move the "+" to the main toolbar and exit Customize to save that, then go back into Customize and move it to the tab bar again, to see whether Firefox takes the hint?

Click handler button function to control symbols
Hi,
I have a remote control image which has 2 buttons (Slide button & Bar Graph button). Thanks to help from resdesign the first button controlling a slideshow of 15 images works. In the slideshow there are question slides that need to launch an animated bar graph symbol showing the results. I'm able to launch the first bar graph for slide 3. I'm using the container method to place the bar graph on the stage. The bar graph symbol can be closed using a click event from within the symbol. Here are my questions:
How to toggle the bar graph off OR delete the bar graph symbol when the Bar Graph button is clicked again.
How to prevent multiple instances of the bar graph from launching in the container?
How to close the bar graph if the user advances to the next slide?
Here's the code to control the Bar Graph button on compositionReady:
var bgOn = false;
sym.$("buttonbg").click(function(){
if (bgOn == false) {
sym.createChildSymbol("bg1", "bargraph_container3");
var container = sym.getSymbol("bargraph_container3");
sym.container("bg1").play();
bgOn = true;
else {
sym.deletesymbol(); //If bar graph symbol is already on, when buttonbg is clicked again then delete "bg1"
bgOn = false; // reset to false, click will relaunch "bg1"
Here's the project file.

Thanks for your time,
-Robert==> file attached.
1) Symbol "stage", compositionReady:
sym.bgOn = false;
sym.$("buttonbg").click(function(){
if (!sym.bgOn) {
sym.bg1 = sym.createChildSymbol("bg1", "bargraph_container3").play();
//var container = sym.getSymbol("bargraph_container3");
//container("bg1").play();
sym.bgOn = true;
} else {
sym.bg1.deleteSymbol(); //If bar graph symbol is already on, when buttonbg is clicked again then delete "bg1"
sym.bgOn = false; // reset to false, click will relaunch "bg1"
2) Symbol "bg1", close.click:
sym.getParentSymbol("bargraph_container3").getParentSymbol("Stage").bgOn = false;

How to change what webpage the new tab button opens.
When I click the new tab button, it always opens to a certain search engine. I've tried to change this default to my preferred search engine, but haven't succeeded. Any hints?
@zoesull, what hijacked page comes up?
If there is a "battle of the add-ons" about which one will control the new tab, you probably need to remove the one you don't want.
Most add-ons can be disabled or removed here:
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Add-ons > on the left side click Extensions
If there is a disable button but no remove button, then you usually can use the Windows control panel to remove it. (Assuming you're on Windows.) -
Hi all,
I'm using SharePoint Online, but I'm seeing the same behavior in an on-prem 2013 instance as well. My situation is this:
- I've created a document library
- I've created a custom content type and attached a custom document template to it
- I've assigned the custom content type to the document library, and disabled the default "document" option
What I'm expecting to see is that when I browse to the document library and click "new document", that either a) a picklist appears allowing me to specify the document template I want (using the custom template I specified) or b) open the custom
template itself. That doesn't happen - instead, when I click new document I'm prompted to upload a file, which seems to contradict the whole point of using a custom content type/custom document template combo.
Am I missing something? The custom template isn't in the Forms library, which seems to be a problem if I wanted to use the custom document template instead of the default.
Ideally I'd like a menu like the one shown here:
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/59ce3bd8-bf7f-4872-ae76-60d8c81dfc32/display-content-types-on-new-document-button-in-document-libraries?forum=sharepointgeneral, except with me being able to control the list of items that is shown.
Any ideas? Thanks!Hi Brain,
What you have done is by design behavior.
If you want to show the Office document templates list (e.g. below image from your above referenced link) to select when click "+new document" link, this will need to install Office Web App 2013 which provides this feature,
you can new document and see it is using WopiFrame.aspx page, please see more from below article about how to configure OWA 2013 for SharePoint 2013 on-premise.

My safari opens new unwanted tabs
my safari opens new unwanted tabs how can I prevent it?
There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed one of the common types of ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it.
Back up all data before making any changes.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, ask for further instructions.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. It may have come from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
Malware is also found on websites that traffic in pirated content such as video. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. Never install any software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or that was downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates
if it's not already checked. -

Sometimes when I click on a link, the browser will go to that page for about a second and then will automatically go to a new (unwanted) webpage. When I use Firefox's "go back" button, a splash screen will appear asking me if I really want to leave that page. Sometimes it will take me back and stay and at others it will go revert to the new, unwanted page. The unwanted page is different each time and generally look to be real pages but random. Also, sometimes when I click a link, Firefox opens a second browser window with a random page. This happens several times throughout the day. It will happen both with some of my standard bookmarks that I use all the time and also with new urls. Most of the time it seems to be random but does happen more with some links than others. Is this a new virus?
Do a malware check with some malware scan programs.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.<br />
