New up date hides down scroll arrow behind task bar in full window mode how do i fix this?
After new up date, the scroll bar on the right and bottom of browser si under task bar. I have windows 7. I have checked addons and extensions and they have made no changes. The last thing updated was the default theme.
I'm glad to see this solved your problem. Also note, since you're running Windows 7, you can click anywhere on the window and then slide your mouse off the screen where the window's edges are hidden to get it back. This may help in the future without having to maximize the window.

There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:

if you set up only iMessage account, you cannot change the status, because iMessage has no status.
You should set up another service (for example AIM) with status service. Initially I didn't understand this "issue" too, but it is correct. -

Yes to receive an iMessage the recipient would need an iOS device (iPhone, iPod, iPad) and an internet connection. This is a messaging serviceprovided by Apple so the recipient does not need to check emails. If the contact does not have internet access at the time the iMessage is sent then a normal SMS through your carrier can be sent instead if you have "Send as SMS" turned on in Settings>Messages.

I use Hotmail and when I hit 'reply' I can only see half of the page. I cannot tab down to read the email I am responding to and if I type too much the text disappears into the hidden section of the page. This does not happen in Google Chrome when I checked it so it is a Firefox problem.

OK so I use Firefox for a lot of things. I have been having a major problem with ads recently. They have been completely invisible, covering nearly the entire page, and opening up obvious adware (I.E. Telling me to update browser, flash player, etc.) every time I click. What is this and how do I fix it?
Wow, that's evil. Here's my suggested procedure for tracking down and cleaning up bad add-ons and other common sources of ad injection. I know it seems long, but it's not that bad.
(1) Open the Windows '''Control Panel''', Uninstall a Program. After the list loads, click the "Installed on" column heading to group the infections, I mean, additions, by date. This can help in smoking out undisclosed bundle items that snuck in with some software you agreed to install. ''Don't be fooled by seemingly innocent or important names if you do not remember choosing to install them.'' Take out as much trash as possible here.
(2) Open Firefox's '''Add-ons page''' using either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
* in the Windows "Run" dialog, type or paste <br><code>firefox.exe "about:addons"</code>
In the left column, click '''Plugins'''. Set nonessential and unrecognized plugins to "Never Activate".
In the left column, click '''Extensions'''. Then, if in doubt, disable (or Remove, if possible) unrecognized and unwanted extensions. (Note: you might not be able to manually Disable extensions in Safe Mode because they are disabled automatically.)
Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
Try the following to rule out a software problem

Whenever I open a new window in Firefox, it not only opens a new window with a new tab, it also opens all my existing tabs a second time in the new window. This has been happening for several days. Closing Firefox and rebooting doesn't solve the problem.
A related problem is that if I close all tabs and close Firefox, then reboot and re-open Firefox, all the tabs that were closed re-open too.
This is new behavior in Firefox in my experience.Firefox opens the home pages in a new window, so if you want to open a new window blank then you need to set the home page to about:blank

I am trying to figure out if this an issue that I need to fix in my Thunderbird, or if it has to do with Chrome, which is set as my default browser. If someone could let me know how to fix it if it IS a Thunderbird issue, or if I should take it up with Chrome, I would be grateful.

Penney NileI think that would have to be a setting in Chrome. That should control how new pages linked from other applications are treated.

Everytime I open a window in Firefox 4 beta 2 I get a messeage that says TypeError: Components.classes(cid) is undefined, when I click OK it opens up the new window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.<br />

You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")<br />
