New Update and Apps loss in iTunes

After the new update this week after installing and rebooting computer there was no longer an app folder in the library. Completely gone. Has this happened to anyone else and how do I fix??

After investigating..I realized I had lost many but not all the apps that used to show in iTunes under the App folder icon (Under LIBRARY category at the top left). From what I can tell that folder shows what you last sync'd with your computer. I somehow had not selected to sync that folder when I sync'd my iPhone with my computer. Two methods to recover your lost Apps are;
1. Download the Apps and songs again based on what you remember (took me ages and I missed some) <grr>
2. Access your "Purchase History" so you know what you downloaded b4. To do this open itunes on your computer and login..i clicked on my login name and authentication window pops up...after authenticating is successful a page called, "Account Information" appears. About the fourth radio button down on the right is one called "Purchase history"...select that and it takes you to a screen that shows all your downloaded apps and songs (free and purchased)...You then just need to go back into the "Apps Store" on your iPhone and request to download those apps again. The system is smart enough to recognise you have paid and downloaded b4.

Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

Unless you've recently attempted to downgrade iTunes this is probably a sign of a corrupt library file. See Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash.

You need to use the backup of your PC to transfer all the music files to iTunes on the Mac.
If you have no backup then you have a difficult task ahead of you as iTunes will only allow you to sync purchased music from the iPhone back into iTunes. Any music you loaded into iTunes yourself will not transfer from the iPhone to iTunes, this is to prevent stealing of music. To sync iTunes purchased music from the iPhone to iTunes, connect the iPhone and open iTunes, but when asked do NOT sync the device. then right click on the iPhone in the iTunes source list and select the 'Transfer Purchases' option, you will also find this commend in the File menu.
If you are in the US, you can use the new iTunes in the Could feature to redownload your iTunes purchased music / apps / books for free.
If you want to transfer all the content from your iPhone to you Mac then you will need to use Google to find a 3rd party piece of software that will do this for you.

What were you backing up to? Your computer or iCloud? All of your apps and media should already be in the iTunes library on your computer. You should just be able to re-sync them if all else fails.

That's a bummer, didn't realize the exHD files were corrupt, esp if you have tried from another PC and not just this new computer.

RealPlayer can cause conflicts with Flash Player because it tries to assign EVERY TYPE of video or audio file to itself by default. I haven't used RealPlayer in years for that reason. It's an unnecessary program anymore. There are apps loike VLC media player that cna do EVERYTHING it does without conflicting with other apps like Flash Player.
With WIndows 8, Microsoft began embedding FlashPlayer themselves into Internet Explorer. Because of that, you cannot download and install it from here. You cannot uninstall it from Internet Explorer without removing a specific Windows Update first. And you cannot update it via this website. ONLY through Windows Update can Flash Player for Internet Explorer be updated.
That said, you probably DON'T have a virus that's causing the problems with Flash Player and Internet Explorer. Many, many websites are not "recognizing" the browser.
This is a known problem with Internet Explorer 11, which Microsoft has been aware of since October 18 when they released IE11 The pages can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player.
So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using an different browser. Trouble with that is it has seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.
Firefox (from Mozilla)
Opera (from Opera)
Safari (from Apple)
Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

Cancel the update and start over again. You will most likely have to restore the iPad now anyway.
If you were using WiFi, try rebooting the iPad and see if by some miracle the download and install completes. Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen. Try the download again.
If that doesn't work, try using iTunes to update. But turn off your firewall and antivirus software before you update,

Since I installed the new update on my apple tv, itunes logo appears...

Since I installed the new update on my apple tv, itunes logo appears and a white wire connecting it to the apple tv. The apple tv is no longer able to connect to Itunes? Yet everything is up to date.

The update did not install properly and the ATV is in recovery mode.
Connect it to a computer via a microUSB cable and restore it.
