New update iOS 8 ipad

IOs 8 update on iPad makes issues on some app application. It does download however it does not open.

iOS 8.0.1 update showed up on my wife's iPad (with Retina Display) yesterday morning.  When we try to install it, we accept the copyright notices to the verification of the download step and then a notice comes up, "Cannot verify because the iPad is not connected to the internet."  This is absolutely false because the iPad IS connected to the internet.  How do she get around this problem short of going to the last back-up?

    Are you on WiFi?  Try connecting your iPhone to your computer and updating through iTunes.

    Have you checked your sound prefs after you updated the OS? It's possible they got changed during the update.

    I hit "Install Now"
    "Agree" to the terms
    And then it does nothing, but freezes up. I swipe away the page to try again with the same results over and over.
    Solutions I have tried:

    A system reboot by powering the phone off does not work. There is plenty of free space on his phone.
    On the other hand, My Iphone 4S updated no problem doing exactly what it is suppose to do with updates.
    So any help would be appreciated.

    Try resetting the device: Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Slide to Unlock screen redisplays, hook the device up to iTunes, make sure that your husband's Apple/iTunes/iCloud ID is signed on to iTunes, then try the update again.

    Since updating my iPad 2 I can no longer reset my iPad to previous dates I choose. I need to retrieve pictures that were deleted, and in the past it gave me the option of selecting the date I want to reset to, and I always got my pictures back. Now, no such luck. I hate this update for my ipad and iPod! Big mistake!

    If you're still having this problem - as I am, please call Apple Support so they can log it in.  I spent a lot of time with one of their senior people troubleshooting and at this point the only resolution they can come up with is to do a clean wipe of everything and a new re-install, which is a big undertaking if you have a lot of apps and customizations.
    If Apple has enough calls to prove this is not an incidental problem for only a small % users, they can escalate the problem to engineering for possibly an easier fix.

    I Cannot connect to iTunes or App Store after new update and I have tried all the trouble shooting stuff....no good. When I close the app the contents are there but when I tap on them the error message comes up and the app contents goes blank....Help. I need them for my business.

    If you're currently unable to connect to either the iTunes Store or the App Store on your iPad, then I'd like you to please follow the troubleshooting steps outlined below.
    Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
    Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time. 
    Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
    Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update(iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
    Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
    Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
    Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
    Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
    Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
    If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.
    If the steps above didn't resolve your issue, be sure that your specific alert isn't listed as a possible iTunes Store error. Then, if your issue is still unresolved, follow these steps.

  • Problems with the new update on iPad

    Hi, i just installed the new update on my i pad and now its not working anymore, it keeps trying to open, but it doesnt even got past the black background with the apple logo on it, then it closes and reopens after, and its going on and on since yesterday, what can i do? I bought my iPad 2 years ago now, but i've been caring alot for it, its in really good shape and all, is there anything i can do to fix the problem or do i have to go to the apple store... and even there, will they fix it or tell me to buy a new one...

    I already tried holding both the Home button and Sleep/Wake buttons but it didn't work, and since my iPad is not staying open long enough it doesn't connect to my itunes...
    I really tried everything i know but still it doesn't change anything.

    Since I have an iPad 2 and the new updates are for iPad how do I get rid of the updates with out downloading them?  If I do download them will they take up more space on my iPad2?

    Yes it is possible that some of them will take up more storage space on your iPad. If the updates are sizable enough and include enough new features it is possible that more space will be needed on the device.
    Will it be a significant amount - that would depend on what app you are trying to update.

  • Imovie new update on Ipad mini works very slow now.  Why?

    I have used my Ipad Mini to shoot events with great success until this new update.  Now it takes forever to shoot one clip.  I have to touch the camera multiple times to get it into shoot mode and then I have to touch the "use video" over and over to get it to actually put the clip into my timeline.  Sometimes it takes 2 minutes just to shoot 1 short clip.  What can I do to fix this ussue?

    1. Reset iPad.
    Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
    2. Make sure you have enough working space.
    Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Delete what is not needed

    If you do not have enough space, then you would have to free up more space.
    You can also update via itunes on your computer.
