New updates excludes me from opening Wimba audio posts

I would go onto Drexel U. website and listen to audio posts from students through Wimba. Updated MacBook Pro last evening and now cannot access Wimba site. I can, however, access Wimba after I restart the computer. But, I need to restart every time to access site. PLEASE HELP. This is not a Drexel issue, I already spoke with them, it is a MacBook issue

Yep, by clearing the Launch Services DB:
Rebuild LaunchServices Database
Open the Terminal application in your Utilities folder. At the prompt paste in the following command in its entirety:
find /System/Library/Frameworks -type f -name "lsregister" -exec {} -kill -seed -r \;
Press RETURN.
Wait for the Terminal prompt to return after which you can quit the Terminal.

I downloaded the new update, and now cant open itunes

The following Knowledge Base article addresses the very issue you're describing:

Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

I get:

How do I prevent the plug-in update checker page from opening

I updated all the plug-ins for which updates were available including Adobe Reader 10. But, every time I open Firefox, the update checker page opens and it indicates Adobe needs to be updated.

i downloaded and restarted version 18 and still get the plug in page loading it is driving me crazy if i don't find a solution fast i am getting rid of what used to be a great browser hope some one can help me

HT4623 Did new update, now when I open Facebook in safari, it's stuck on notification scroll down

I just completed the latest update for my iPad. Now when I go into Facebook on safari, the notification drop down won't move and it acts like its trying to load the page. I've tried restarting iPad and logging out of Facebook. This happened immediately after update

I really foreperson the viewing on safari vs. the app. But, I tried shutting down and restarting a couple more times and it finally straightened itself out.

Thank you for your question, I understand that it is annoying to have to move a new window to the second screen. Since it opens in the active screen this may have been a stored preference, however it is not the default.
There is an add on called [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/monitor-master/ Monitor Master] that customizes settings like this. Check it out.

You have both your older iWork apps and the newer Maverick apps on your computer.
The new Maverick apps are in the Applications folder.
The older iWork apps are in the Applications/iWork folder.
Of the two, the older iWork apps are more useful so don't throw them out.

New Update 4.2.2 Apple TV 2G Don´t Work for me

After Five minutes ago I have installed the 4.2.2 recent new update for Apple TV 2G.-
My Audio Problems CONTINUE. I don´t have audio again, not only in movies or music but also in my sound effect in a menu bar.-
I try with 16 Bit Audio, NO Dolby and no audio again.-
After two months the new audio not solve the problem to my Apple TV 2G
I´m downgrade to 4.2.1 Firmware (8C154) and audio is back again.-
Please Apple if you really solve definitely this probles please take a look to source coude of this firmware.

I´m Connected to TV via HDMI and my Tv Model is a LED LG 42LE5500, the audio is via HDMI (Same Cable to Video), I´m not connected via optical.-

You may need many other updates to retain compatibility with Lion. I suggest you reinstall Snow Leopard. Unfortunately, you will need to erase the drive first. Be sure to backup your data if you haven't done so already.
Clean Install of Snow Leopard
Be sure to make a backup first because the following procedure will erase
the drive and everything on it.
     1. Boot the computer using the Snow Leopard Installer Disc or the Disc 1 that came
         with your computer. Insert the disc into the optical drive and restart the computer.
         After the chime press and hold down the "C" key. Release the key when you see
         a small spinning gear appear below the dark gray Apple logo.
     2. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue
         button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
         After DU loads select the hard drive entry from the left side list (mfgr.'s ID and drive
         size.) Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window. Set the number of
         partitions to one (1) from the Partitions drop down menu, click on Options button
         and select GUID, click on OK, then set the format type to MacOS Extended
         (Journaled, if supported), then click on the Apply button.
     3. When the formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed
         with the OS X installation and follow the directions included with the installer.
     4. When the installation has completed your computer will Restart into the Setup
         Assistant. After you finish Setup Assistant will complete the installation after which
         you will be running a fresh install of OS X. You can now begin the update process
         by opening Software Update and installing all recommended updates to bring your
         installation current.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.
