New URL, how do I get iTunes to point to my new feed
We are in the process of redesigning our webpage. We purchased a new domain name and changed our webhost. Our new website is www.calvarybible.com. I am wondering how to get iTunes to point to my new feed. It is all the same content just at a new URL. I have sent a few messages via "report a concern", but have not seen any response.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

Geek,
Thanks, I set up the <itunes:new-feed-url> tag. When I updated my podcast in iTunes it found the new feed. I should have read the specifications better.
We will be sending the old domain name to the new URL soon, so I am glad I got this done as it says to keep the old feed for at least 48 hours. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
Thanks,
Mike

have a subscription to The Telegraph which I purchased before changing my email and apple ID. How can I get iTunes to change it to current ID
Did you create a NEW Apple ID or did you change the email address for your OLD Apple ID? This will affect how you update apps in the future.
Anyway, go to Settings/iTunes&App Stores, log out, then log in with the new ID. -
How do I get iTunes to recognize a new device if I accidentally did not hit new device when I first hooked it up? I hit the button that said I wanted to back it up from my old phone. The new phone is my husbands and I don't want to back up my phone info on it. I re connected it hoping it would prompt me with the option again and it doesn't , it just shows up as a back up to my phone. How can I get it to give me that option in the beginning again
First of all, I think the first time you sync an iPod that's formatted for Windows on a Mac, the sync process reformats it for Mac. You can check what it is now by looking for the iPod with Disk Utility. If it's Mac OS Extended, it's formatted for Mac already.
Also, there is no current iPod updater app these days. iTunes handles it through the Restore button. If you are not able to use the latest iTunes because of your Mac, I can understand. The latest version of iTunes should run with 10.3.9 or later, if the hardware can handle it.
You said the battery was low so let it recharge for a while.
You should also reset the iPod. It's part of the 5Rs, which you should go through as the starting point for iPod trouble-shooting.

Hi-
Oops. looks like I hasked the whole question in the headline, but... How does this work? When I connect my new pod to iTunes how do I get iTunes to recognize the new pod, disregard the old pod and transfer my content to my new pod? Also, I have a G5 that runs 10.4.11 OS. Will the new pod synch to this computer running this old software yet. Apparently, I have to "climb the mountain" to find a copy of Leopard for G5 and I apparently cannot run Snow Leopard. What are the needs or restrictions for synching a 4th Gen iPod touch?
Thanks-
DMitzThe 4G iPod needs at least OSX 10.5.8 on a Mac. You are right that the G5 can't use OSX 10.6 or later. Apple will sell you a 10.5.8 disk but you have to call them since it is not listed in their on-line store. Price is $129.
For 4G specs:
System requirements
USB 2.0
iTunes 10.1 or later6
Mac: Mac OS X v10.5.8 or later
PC: Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP Home or Professional (SP3) or later
Broadband Internet access required; fees may apply. -

This forum is for questions from those managing sites on iTunes U, Apple's service for colleges and universities to post educational material in the iTunes Store. You'll be most likely to get help with this issue if you ask in the general iTunes or iPhone forums.

How can I get iTunes running on a Windows XP machine as well as, separately on a newer laptop running Windows 7 to both recognize and sync with my new iPhone 4S? I have different libraries on each machine which I need to sync with the iPhone, both in iTunes. It seems to be workiing fine on the Windows 7 machine, but not even reconizing the device at all in iTunes on Windows XP.
Thank you for your assistance.Hi turingtest2 - thanks for the reply. As you say It is how it is - and I have three workstations in this home (not counting three for my children and one for the family) and I pretty much always have more than one OS on each - that's how it is for me. I shouldn't have to worry about how many OSs I have (or how often I change them) just to have music while I'm working - through the PC sound system that is. I never have to worry about any other software, only iTunes. Once in a while (in the past) I've made a vendor call if I changed to many things to often (like CPU, GPU, memory, etc - or even a replacement MB) - but that hasn't happened in a couple years (at least since Vista) so I think (hope) they have fixed that for good. And even then it was a quick call and problem resolved. The only (glaring) constant problem is iTunes - limiting my own use of my own music (by counting an OS as a physical PC). Even with VM (which is just another OS) - although you can Attach things to multiple active OSs - it's still your own (purchased) music - and all on one PC. Thanks again!

When using my old iphone4 as an itouch - how do i get itunes to recognize as a new and seperate device
You don't need to do anything. iTunes will automatically recognise different devices as different devices. Just plug it in.
You can rename the device by clicking the name in the side panel in iTunes for your own identification purposes, but this name does not matter to iTunes. -
I want my iTunes library to be saved and stored in my music documents in my laptop like they would be if you bought the songs but how do I get iTunes to do this?

If you are having issues moving the musing in your iTunes Library from your old computer to your new computer and making sure that it is located correctly, you may find the following article helpful:

how can i get itunes to recognize my iphone (the first one) so i can download its info so i can then download that into my new iphone 4s.???
Including going through all of Step 5? That can take some time, and should fix the problem. You have also removed and reinstalled iTunes following the steps in this support document? http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 As a last resort, see this support document. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376

How do I get itunes to recognize my new ipod shuffle?
How do I get itunes on my mac pro to recognize my new ipod shuffle?
The latest iTunes may hide the sidebar (along left side of window). To show the sidebar, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar. With sidebar visible, when the shuffle is connected, it should appear in the sidebar under DEVICES. Does it appear there?
