New User - First Zen Product - Freezing 4GB Zen V plus

I did my share of research before purchasing this product for my wife for X-mas. I did see some posts about the plyaer freezing, but most of what I saw required a reset, and then things were fine. Had I known freezing and locking up were as prevalent as it appears to be in this forum, I may have made a different choice, ugh. My wife is finally really enjoying this gift and of course today, feezes up and is not being correcting by resetting or connecting to a PC. I see many posts in here describing this problem, but no real solution. Is this a bug in the player, has anyone tried Formatting, and rebooting as described in the Troubleshooting section of this website?
Can this be sent to Creative to have their tech support try and resolve the issue? Seems like a lot of issues for a nearly $00 player, what are the rest of you with freezing problems doing, any solutions found yet, trying to get replacement player, etc?

New user--first issue last night

Last night one of my video podcast was playing in my ipod like a song and not a video. It was showing a small square with video and words beside it? Don't understand why this happened. Has anyone had this experience. I had to resync a few times to make this video disappear. Issued resolved itself but as a new user this made me very nervous. Thanks

Are you accessing the video podcast through Video - Video Podcast? Also make sure that under Video Settings, TV Out is set to Off.

Zen Micro freezes on ZEN logo during star

When i turn on my ZenMicro, sometimes it freezes at the Zen logo, and half of that logo disappears and it stays in that state for a good 20 seconds, is there something wrong with it's please let me know.

Zen Sleek Freezing on Zen Screen HE

my Zen Sleek keeps freezing on the Zen Screen when it is loading, i have tried restarting it and i have tried letting the battery die, charging it again and it still freezes.. is there anyway to fix it without sending it back?

try cleanup first, depending on how full your sleek is, it could take a while.
Mine has done the same a couple of times, and this has cured it each time.
It does reset all your preferences though, like your EQ settings and menu configuration, touchpad clicker etc.

New user experience with product

I just recently purchased this product and would like to share my experience so far.
Seems all products have a few warts, and we seem to always find them first. But, having used this now for about 2 weeks, I can say that this product was worth the money for me. It gives insight into existing apps that I didn't even know about. Makes working with new apps rather simple. If time is money, I'm now in the black with the amount of time saved.
Having said this, there are a few items I would like to see added.
Would be nice to include a bit of database and hibernate support (kinda like myeclipse)
I would like to see better support for struts-layout. This product sure makes layout easier
Might be there, but would be nice to better CSS suuport

Good post. I agree. I'm experiencing a few bumps as well. It's mostly due to my lack of familiarity with NitroX and trying to get RAD to work as well as WSAD 5.1.2 does. But overall I love NitroX and the 40% of the product abilities that I'm using right now are well worth it. NitroX makes our IDE (WSAD and RAD) much more of a complete tool. I can't wait until I've had a few months with this tool.

New user creation in AE- user group not getting assigned

Here is a typical case, wherein when we create a new user with AE for the production system, the user gets created and the roles are also assigned but the user group is not getting assigned. The user group is being fetched from a table from the backend and all that is working fine. Infact in order to test the configurations we even created a new user in the production instance of AE giving the development system as the target system for user creation and in this case the user was successfully created and the user group is also assigned. The problem is arising only when the target system is production system.
Connectors are all working fine, but we are unable to think of a reason. Can somebody help us on this?

If you are provisioning the user group using user defaults, check that production system is selected in the user defaults configured. Configuration -> user defaults. You can define any user default system, but for perticuticular user defaults that is applicable define all the systems, in which you want user defaults to be provisioned.

USER LICENSE TO CREAT NEW USER IDS.

Hi All,
I Want to creat the 5 new user ids in production client, but the issue is client requires the new names for the alredy exsting user ids with the same authorizations and roles.
For this i am going to creat a new user ids and assign the same role and profiles and lock the existing ones. But creating new ids in production client i required to know the LICENSE details.
Please any one suggest me how to find out the required LICENSE'S are availble are not.what is the process to know the LICENSE details, is there any related sap notes to understand the LICENSE information.

In transaction SU01 in the change mode, in personalization tab page, select the row personalization for license administration by double clicking it. The edit personalization data dialog box appears.
If you can get the user license information to create new user id in transaction SU01 then try License Administration Workbench - Transaction SLAW or LICENSE_ADMIN

ZEN SLEEK FREEZE UP and BATTERY WEAK. (HELP)!!!

greeetings. i have a zen sleek for last 2yrs. the battery life was wonderful. the last couple of week the zen keeps freezing and the battery dies very fast and i also hve to keep reseting it to work. what is the problem. do i have to buy another one or can this problem be fixed??

i figured it out my self? while holding down the play/pause button, poke a paperclip in the rest hole click on cleanup, when its finished, reboot? it says in manuel cd to save all info first but i dont know how to do that so i just went for it. read your users guide on the instalation cd? but it doesnt tell you much

Is it possible to put a movie in my 4GB Zen V Pl

well i've been trying to put a movie in my 4GB Zen V Plus but for some reason I couldnt do it. I had other videos but they were short ones. I tried putting the video in my Zen now, and its in there. But I cant play it. It freezes up every time and I have to press the reset button. Can i NOT put a movie in my Zen or is there something wrong with my Zen?

No ! Nothing is wrong with your Zen Vplus. All you need is to use Creative Video Converter because it seems that the video format that you put in are not compatible. Use the Converter and sync it after, it should be fine.

Migration should never be done with any Adobe program.
If you have done Migration, you have to UNINSTALL first (if even possible) and then download Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool and run that also. When this is done, restart your computer and install the programs from an original Adobe Installer.
Other question is, if your OS is supporting that version. You can try it, it is not officially supported, but it might work.
But CC will work, upgrade to CC2014 (without additional cost), use that as it is better anyway.

Zen Micro Freezes when I plug in USB cable+USB not recognized at ti

Ok, I know you, the reader, has heard this complaint posted over and over on the Creative forums, and you would probably tell me to SEARCH THE FORUMS. Well, I did, and I found no answer or solution to my problems. So..here goes nothing.
I recently purchased a Black 5gb Creative Zen Micro, I was really content and happy with it...that is until I plugged it into my USB 2.0 Card. The moment I do that (I've tried plugging it in into every USB 2.0 slot, and NO, this isn't a hub, but a PCI card), The Zen Micro freezes! I have to resolve this by removing the cover and taking out the battery, then reinserting the battery. At the same time my Zen Micro freezes, a little bubble pops up on my computer screen saying "USB Device Not Recognized". I'm going absolutely out of my mind here, and am on the verge of returning the Zen Micro, and might get a replacement, and if that doesn't work, just returning the Zen altogether for a refund and getting a Rio Carbon. I really like the Zen, so PLEASE PLEASE help me out here!
Things I've Tried That Did Not Work:
-Uninstall/Reinstalling Zen Explorer, Mediasource (basically everything on CD)
-Updating the drivers for Zen Micro found on Nomadness.net
-Updating Firmware for Zen Micro
-Going into rescue mode and cleaning up, Formatting, reloading firmware, and rebooting.
-Trying the USB 2.0 Card in different PCI Slots
-Rotating the order in which I connect the USB cable to Zen Micro and PC
-Uninstalling/Reinstalling the drivers, even when the Zen Micro pops up as "Unknown Device"
-Reading tips/hints on Nomadness.net
I have scoured the forums, and have not found anything useful or new. I know its not the USB 2.0 Card's problem, since I plugged in my USB mouse into all the ports on the USB Card, and it worked fine.
Note: When I plug the USB cable that came with the Zen Micro into the integrated USB slots on the motherboard (USB .), it at times, does work, but even then, not a high chance of it happening. Even if I do successfully connect the Zen to a USB . slot without it freezing up, the Zen ends up not being detected by any program, like Window Media Player, Mediasource, or Creative Zen Micro Explorer.
I am going out this weekend and am gonna try to buy a new USB Cable, and if that doesn't work, returning the cable, and returning the Zen Micro to be replaced. AND IF THAT DOES NOT WORK...GOODBYE CREATIVE! HELLO RIO! But please, any help you guys could give would be greatly appreciated. I will also try to contact Creative Customer Support, but I doubt they'll tell me anything new, if I could even connect to them without being put on hold.

Creative Zen Micro Firmware .02.05
USB 2.0

Yep, that's exactly my issues to.....no matter what I've done, including replacing the USB 2.0 card which WAS and Adaptec DuoConnect 2.0 card which works fine with every other USB device ever connected to it, the Zen Micro 6g is NOT recognized by Creative Media Source or WMP. It is only recognized by the PC in Device Manager, and it has a yellow marker on it, which tells me the drivers are not installed. I know I don't need the drivers installed, but even after installing them, it tells me the drivers are not installed.
However, the answer is: it's definitely not the Micro, since it works flawlessly on my other PC and on my Toshiba notebook. So, it's some compatibility issue on that one PC. Since I refuse to let things be, I am reformatting that PC, reinstalling from scratch with WinXP and sp2. This PC has WinXP Pro but it has other issues so a reformat is in order anyway. Hopefully, this will resolve the issues. If not, then I say it's incompatibility with the Intel 865Perl m.b. But I'm at a loss as to why it won't work when plugged into the Adaptec card too.

Zen touch freeze

every time i click on on the "data folder" my zen touch freezes what do i do?

Ok...this seems to happen occasionally, first of all, make sure you've updated your firmware to the latest one (.0.03) it is in the downloads section. Will your player still play music? I would also go into Rescue Mode and run a cleanup. There might possibly be corrupted files in the folder and Nomad Explorer crashes, so you should run a clean up, back up all the music, update firmware and if worst comes to worst, run a format, hope this helps

Could be many things, we should start with this...

1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at the top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
Report any errors it found for Disk Repair, don't need the ones for Permissions Repair.
Try it again & see if anything changed, but have Activity Monitor open & Show All Processes & sorted on CPU%, also have Console open if we can... maybe not when switching, but we'll see.
Does this happen if you just try to create a new admin user???
