Can't log new user onto Mac Mini Server

I can't log a new user into Mac Mini server. Have added the user to the Workgroup Manager, and am now trying to use the password created there for log-in on user computer. Any advice?

Do you have Server Access Control Lists (SACLs) configured? If so, you will need to add this new user to the appropriate SACLs before it can connect. As an example, when I create new users, I need to add them to the File Sharing SACL or they never see any available shares on the server.

Clear Safari, reset the iPad and try again.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear Cookies and Data.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Only 4 gb on my new 16 gb ipad mini

I just got a new iPad Mini 3 16 Gb. But it says that over 8G's are being used by the preloaded "demo" apps (most that I don't want anyway), photos and videos, and my Contacts is full of literally hundreds of people that i've never even heard of before! I can manually delete the contacts but I have to do it manually, one at a time; I CANNOT delete the demo apps (if you tap on them they just pop up for a minute and then sit in the background) - if I press and hold they don't go all "wiggley"; and the 400 or so photos and videos won't let me delete them!
I've been all over the Internet, Apples support site, and the user guide to no avail and it's become very frustrating! There is no Settings>General>Rest (or "Erase all data") option. I can't even change the name of the device like I can on my iPhone.
Did I end up with a store demo model?

Problem has been solved! I'm not sure how to mark this question as solved or if I even can but here is what we did:
Upgraded iTunes (I rarely use it but I guess I should from now on.) In iTunes I could select the device and simply did a Restore. We just did this a few hours ago but so far everything seems to be working as it should. The "Tech people" won't be back in the store that the iPad was purchased until after New Years but I intend to ask them why they sold an obvious demo. The box was sealed and shrinkwrapped and I wonder if they even realised that it wasn't ready for retail sale.
The store is a reputable outfit and has been operating from the same location for over 20 yrs. They only recently became an authorized Apple retailer so perhaps it was just a simple error.

What is the difference between the new and old ipad mini case?

I was wondering what the difference is between the old ipad mini case and the new one which came out with the ipad mini with retina display?

I just bought an iPad Mini case for my iPad Mini with Retina Display, and it DOES NOT FIT... This particular case has a hard plastic cradle for the iPad to fit into and it does not wrap around the edges enough to hold it in... I am shocked at how snug these cases will fit, even though there is only a 0.01" difference in thickness... So again, I repeat, an iPad Mini with Retina Display WILL NOT FIT into the first gen iPad Mini case!

I have used my Ipad Mini to shoot events with great success until this new update. Now it takes forever to shoot one clip. I have to touch the camera multiple times to get it into shoot mode and then I have to touch the "use video" over and over to get it to actually put the clip into my timeline. 1. Reset iPad.
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
2. Make sure you have enough working space.

I can't start a conversation in iMessage with iPhone users (from iPad mini)

I can start a conversation with my friend that use iPad 2, but I cannot start a conversation with all iPhone users (I put their phone number). It says that the number that I inputted is not connected with the iMessage. So, I just cannot start a conversation unless they start the conversation first (they text me first by iMessage), then I can reply their message. Is there anything I do to solve this problem?

iMessage works with multipple emails and phone numbers.
If you dont have the correct iMessage ID (can be a phonenumber or email address) in your address boook you cant start the conversation.
When you create a new messeage and enter the recipient name you should see a blue bubble for the correct iMessage address.
If you dont see it check on your friends iPhone under Settings - Message - send recieve what address he is using for iMessage.
Sometimes it takes a few minutes until changes get registered at the apple servers

TS1702 I installed ios6.0.1 in I pad mini. When using Safari, G mail, Facebook,Mail the Apps stalls for quite sometimes and application is no perfect as other Apps. I don't know it is the cause of new processor in ipad mini or ios 6.0.1.

I bought Apple I pad mini by on line on 28-10-2012 and my Shipment notification is W270720457. The serial no is DLXJN5F9F193. I installed ios6.0.1 and when using Safari, Facebook, G mail. Mail, icloud it hang sometime and cease. Very slow in using application Facebook and G mail comparing to my previous i pad 2 with ios5. I don't know its the new processor in i pad mini or i0s6.0.1. Please give suggestion what to do.

No. Ask your carrier if they have a plan that will give you a discounted rate on roaming. That is what I have done for my travels and it has worked very well for me.

Photo stream- adding new member on iPad Mini

The display for albums is not the same as on the iPhone. I can't seem to figure out how to add a new member to my personal photo stream on the mini, only have an edit button.

While in my current photo stream, if I click edit, the only options I have on the task bar are : share-(which
Is gray'd out unless I select photos), Delete or Add. There is no + sign.
Is there some other place I can goto to see current members on my existing stream to add another member?
While viewing all the streams, which appear as small deck cards, there is a + sign there but it's only to add a new stream.

New User to Mac Mini - upgrades

I am about to purchase a Mac Mini from an acquitence whom I trust. He has only bought this a few months ago, and is upgrading his system.
The one he has is the smallest of the models and I am wondering if I would like to upgrade it, is it possible? Also, if not suggested, can someone give me layman terms on what it would be capable of as far as storage of music or pictures, and how fast it would be? Sorry, I am being very generic in questions, I just don't know too much about hardware. I appreciate the feedback.

Well, those are better specs than my Mac mini, which is a couple of years older. You can get by on 2GB of memory, but you may experience faster performance with more, particularly if you have several applications open simultaneously. The hard drive is not super large, but it should also be fine unless you are going to store a ton of videos and/or big graphics files.
You can upgrade the memory and the hard drive - those components are not terribly costly, and if you are slightly handy, you can do the job yourself. You have to pry the two halves of the Mini to get inside, but once you are in, it is an easy matter to replace RAM (up to 8 GB) or the hard drive (which, by the way, is the smaller 2.5" size used in most laptops. Just go to www.icloud.com, open Contacts, then click on the little icon in the lower left and then choose to import contacts via vCard. Of course it would be necessary that you have exported your contacts as vCards from another source first.

No downloads from I tunes showing up on Ipad Mini

Hi,
I am a new user of Ipad mini. I am struggling with that when I purchase audiobooks from itunes on my ipad; they don't show up in the purchased section, or in the music section or anywhere else for that matter. They are not on my macbook even though i have opted for home sharing. Right now I do not have either music or audiobooks I have downloaded onto my pad. i have no problem downloading magazines and kindle books however. It just I tunes that seems to be the problem. I hae not plugged it into my mac and synced before because I don't need to: I download the things that I want on my ipad directly onto my pad.
I know that the transactions for the books have gone through, as when I have tried to buy the audiobooks again, there comes a warning that I have already purchased them. They also show up when I look at my purchase history for my apple account. But they are nowwhere to be found and I am going crazy! Any hep??

unfortunately not there! In similar eposts people have suggested that audiobooks download to music rather that ibooks.....but when I go onto the music app there comes up a white blank page with a player at the top and the message: ' no music available...you can download music from itunes'... I have also seen in other mails that people talk about going into the music app and clicking on the menu on the bottom right hand side...in my app there is no such menu, just a white blank page with the above message in the middle.....any ideas??
