New users are getting "cntl_error" whenever login into the portal
Dear Experts,
New users are getting "cntl_error" whenever login into the portal. They are accessing .par application. I have read so many threads, but unable to find exact solution.
I have tried in my browser with the user login, then no error. But the user login there end then its giving "cntl_error" error.
Problem with Internet Explore Browser? Any additional setting required for users browser?
Could you please help me, how to resolve this error.

MSAD users are not able to login into the Essbase
Hi ,
I am on 11.1.2.2 . We just configured MSAD with shared services. There are native groups with provisionings and we add the MSAD users to this group to provide authorization.
he search order of MSAD is 2 while that of Nativedirectory is 1. . The msad user is able to log into to all other products like shared services , workspace , EPMA but login fails for ESSBASE(through maxl) and EASConsole. When I checked the users table from EAS console I found that MSAD users are present in the users list .
Can anybody know how to refresh my Essbase sec file in an ad-hoc manner so that my MSAD users are reflected in the sec file ???

If you are interested in a 3rd party application with all the stats you need and more, check out Click Stream by Sweetlets. Easy to download and user friendly with many key reports quickly accessible. It also answers some of the questions you had above a whole lot simpler than anything else out there or any other route you had in mind.
In the very near future Click Stream will also have iView recording to monitor iViews, telling which iViews have been clicked, etc. Also, the one you were looking for, "who the last login into the portal", will soon be added.
Click Stream uses the Usermanagement (UME) API to get more information about the user, groups, roles, LDAP attributes etc. and offers you the ability to use such information for filtering within any report.
Click Stream also uses the PCD API to get information about the pages your users are visiting.

Any new user creation gets: unable to log into user account error
Sort of reposting from http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2795507&tstart=0 as that initial question was answered.
Anyway, running an xserve managing all network accounts (only local accounts are a local admin on each system). DNS checks out and all current users can log in fine. However, it seems any new user I create keeps getting this wonderfully ambiguous error. I've tried Guest (but figured it probably interfered with the Guest Account), Student (but thought it might be interfering with a group of the same name), Guest Student, and Temp User.Just making sure, you have selected the home location, and then actually pressed the "Create home" button? I have missed it few times and then wondered why it is not working. Then check the home folder location that it is actually there and created successfully.

Dear Reader,
As we are working on System 9.2.0, the problem we are facing are as we log into Workspace we get a error "PLEASE ENTER THE VALID USERNAME AND PASSWORD TO LOGIN TO THE SYSTEM"; and the moment we access FR studio another error message pops up which says "COULD NOT CONNECT TO GSM SERVER HYPERION:1800" we have installed Hyperion BI/UI within the same folder and configured with same repository, Every service is successfully installed and configured, in the shared services we are able to see the BI+ node and we also have tried configuring the shared services and BI/UI , twice or thrice. Uploaded a video in my site but users are getting an error message on the screen.
Has anyone else experienced this type of problem? I created a video and uploaded to my website at: http://www.moulinrougeclothing.com I received feedback that my members were not able to view it. They saw on screen "The Adobe Flash Player or an HTML5 supported browser is required for video playback."
Can someone clarify what I need to do to get this working for them?

Unable to Login into BI Portal

Do provide more details on this by providing the trace of this particular error. Look into:
C:\usr\sap\<SID>\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\log for example... and open the default trace file (latest) and check the latest entry..
Right off the bat, since it's a new installation - portal performance issue would have to be considered as a possible cause.

ok, so I transferred my 3S info to my 4S by restoring from an old phone backup. But SIRI is gone and god knows what else?? Can I get my old stuff into the new phone and keep the 4S new functionality?
I suspect unless he had some items in iCloud backup then they are gone. Connecting an iPhone to a different library from that to which it was previously connected will result in the device asking if you want to erase it.

After upgraded 9.2 DB, all users are not able to login (Except Guest).
After completed the DB upgrade from 8.1.7.4 to 9.2.0, all users are not able to login the oraclemypage.home. This is except the Guest account.For example, I use the sysadmin account to login the oraclemypage.home. It shows "Your login is invalid. Please login again."
Moreover, I do the following query.
SQL> select fnd_web_sec.validate_login('SYSADMIN','SYSADMIN') from
dual;
FND_WEB_SEC.VALIDATE_LOGIN('SYSADMIN','SYSADMIN')
N
If I guery the Guest account, the result is "Y".
Also, all users can access via dev60cgi/f60cgi to open E-business 11.5.7 application. Are there any missing script / process I need to do?

Since the log cumulate a giga byte, I clean up the log and test again. It seems no error message.Whats your platform?

All users are normal. For those I tested without end_dated, I can access via f60cgi too.whats the session_cookie_domain set to in icx_parameters table? Set to NULL and try bouncing apache once.

If your only concern is preventing users from logging in via SQL*Plus, you could use the PRODUCT_USER_PROFILE table.
However, and this is a big however, this will not prevent users from logging in using any other tool (SQL Developer, SQL Programmer, TOAD, etc) if they know the Oracle user name and password. You can create a login trigger that generates an exception if the program that the client reports is connecting isn't on a list of valid products, but this sort of thing is easily circumvented just by renaming the executable on the client machine.
Fundamentally, if you have given a person an Oracle user name and an Oracle password, whatever privileges are available to the Oracle account are available to that individual. No matter what tool that person uses to connect to the database, they are going to have the same privileges. That's why you ideally want to restrict what users can do to the point that you don't care what tool they're using. Barring that, you can enable auditing and let the users know what they are and are not allowed to do by policy and use the audit logs to ensure compliance.

I am having windows 2012 domain controller. One web application running in this domain controller. Users in the domain all have access to web application. After giving the username and password it will allow the user to login to application. But the thing
is some users are not able to login to application, at the same time same users able to login to systems with user id.
Web application is integrated with AD for authentication. Removing the user not able to login, creating again, after that particular user able to login to that application.

As far as I know, users should not get kicked out unless someone terminates their session.
Even if they lock some data and the same data is needed by some job, it's the job that would fail showing data lock. Similarly, if some other uses tries to access the locked data, the user who is accessing later would face the issue of not being able to go to edit mode.
It's possible to write programs that could specifically do this work of kicking out users before we run batch jobs, but let me assume that this is not the case with you.
One possibility is that there is issue in livecache and so users are not able to access livecache or get kicked out from their active session (e.g. your log area gets full, then users would soon get kicked out after seeing the system hanging initially). This you would need to check at the time when users face issue. This would also mean that other processes that need livecache should also fail e.g. GATP, or SNP planning or PPDS planning related jobs would fail at the same time.
If you could share exactly what error message the users are seeing, that could be helpful in resolving the issue.
