New V3 Software and Modifying the Screen

I'm new to the iPhone and I understand I can arrange and create new shortcuts (via Safari) to my iPhone screen. I also understand I can download lots of free (or buy programs) from the store.
I had a few questions and was wondering if someone could help.
1. I use the alarm and WiFi. Does the capability exist to add icons to other features such as the alarm on the screen or is there a current program that allows this capability?
2. With the V3 software, I read about some of the new items and I understand things are subject to change. I was wondering if there was a complete list of what is possibly to be added. I can't locate one article that says here are the 100 items, or the list that Apple says these are what we are telling you now that are planned to be added.
For example, will V3 allow me to customize my shortcuts to allow me to add the alarm. If a program does exist, I can buy it now or wait until V3 comes out and see if its added.

No to both questions. More than likely this capability would need to be provided by Apple and not by a 3rd party developer.

Apple has not provided a complete list yet. If you watch the video when Apple announced 3.0 and the SDK for 3.0, ear the end you can see some of the items shown on the screen behind the stage hat were not specifically mentioned during the presentation.
For example, will V3 allow me to customize my shortcuts to allow me to add the alarm. If a program does exist, I can buy it now or wait until V3 comes out and see if its added.
Until Apple provides a complete list of features for the final release, there is no way to know this for certain at the present time.

On the Apple site I see an upgrade path but not from scratch. I will use my current systems and then it place a complete install of Maverick on the other drive to boot from?

When I first try to open it the pop us says: "You can't use this version of the application "iPhoto" with this version of OS X. Version: 9.2.1" When I try to update, it pops up to say "These apps cannot be accepted by your apple id - These apps were already assigned to another Apple ID and they will be available in that Apple ID's purchases list. If you don't have access to that Apple ID and want to receive future updates, you will need to purchase the application". I checked and there is nothing under the "purchases" in my App store. Then will say "update unavailable with this apple id - This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or canceled." Then the third pop up says "We could not complete your request. There was an error in the App Store. Please try again". Just want to know how do to fix.

After I upgraded to Mavericks I was also having this message when I tried to update. There was a previous post about this problem which offered this simple solution which worked for me:

Got it! Thanx. What I did was go to my account, check that they had my new ID and Password which they did, then hit reset button. All fixed.

I uploded the new itunes software and now my ipod touch is not getting reconized in my itunes. I went through all the trouble shooting support from apple. But I do have a avast antivirus on my computer i wonder if that is what is holding it up

I use Firefox 95% of the time, and there's no problem with flash content (and I'm still at .55 - downloaded .64 last week but I haven't got round to making the change yet). At the rate they've been changing it recently it may well be out of date already .
I've been trying it in Safari, too with no problems apart from You Tube, but that's because I'm blocking Google cookies.
One thought does occur - if your Flash preferences are set to block all Local Storage, it may be that the problem site is trying to use Flash cookies (LSOs). I had this problem recently with the BBC iPlayer streaming content. Little Snitch notified an attempt to connect to a new URL - emp.bbci.co.uk.
If I disallowed it, no streaming; when I allowed the connection, it still wouldn't stream, so I did a bit of digging and came to the conclusion that it was trying to set a Flash cookie. When I unblocked, lo and behold - streaming resumed as normal.
I now have LSOs blocked in a more subtle way that lets the site think it's being set (but it ain't) and the streaming still works.
As for permissions repair - always repair from local; the permissions on the original disc will have been superceded by updates and new installations of Apple software.
DU needs to be reading the packages on the HD, not the (now out of date) install disc.
The recurring repair messages are normal and don't mean anything's wrong. As long as the final message is 'repair complete' there's no need to dwell on it.

It's ok to do this even if you are already running v10.6.8.
Restart your Mac after the combo is installed.
Try downloading Lion.

Well I am having the same issue and I had not had to worry about getting a "licensed charger." The poster who responded offered not real insite and was rude to boot. That didn' t fix it for me. and I also repaired and verified disk permissions that didn't help. So how do I do the next steps? Can you lay it out slowly for me please?

I downloaded itunes on a PC and plugged in the ipad to it but nothing changed on the PC or ipad. very frustrating. anyone else experience this or have know how or ideas to help me?

Here is my standard reply, some of which may have no relevance to your situation. Start with trying different USB ports, even a numbe of times.
1. Make sure that your device is not hidden (left hand pane). If it just reads device then toggle between SHOW and HIDE.
2. Try all the other ports on your computer, even a number of times.
3. Make sure your lead /connections are not faulty.
4. If you have another computer try plugging your device into it without taking any action, give it a moment, remove it and try it back in your other computer again.
5. Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed.
6. If using Widows, make sure all Windows Updates are installed.

8. And failing all that put the device into Recovery mode. See here and note the paragraph 'If you restore from a different computer.... ' down near the bottom of the page -
