New version "Corrupted" or "not installed correctly."

I just tried to open iTunes for the first time since I did a software update about two weeks ago.
I get a message that reads: "This copy of iTunes is corrupted or is not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes."
I don't want to lose the songs I had in my library. What's the correct way to do this?

Let's try a repair install of iTunes first.
Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "iTunes", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
Can you launch your iTunes now?

Just reinstall iTunes. I done the same thing without losing my iTunes library.
BUT if you did lose your music follow through these:
Downloading past purchases from App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store.

ITunes 11 update is corrupt or not installed correctly for Mac. HELP!!

got the update request for iTunes version 11, so I went through the installation process but after restarting my computer itunes would not work. It comes up with the message 'This version of iTunes is corrupt or not installed correctly, please reinstall itunes' there is no error code, it just says 'Error'
I have iMac, can anybody help me fix this?

I have just updated itunes and have received the error 'this copy of itunes is corrupted or not installed correctly. Please re-install itunes' whenever I try to open it. If I were you, I would reinstall itunes. BACKUP ALL YOUR ITUNES MEDIA TO AN EXTERNAL STORAGE DEVICE BEFORE DOING THIS PLEASE.

in my downloads folder i have itunes64Setup.exe do I just run this ?
or will this overwrite my existing data and I'll have to set up my library from scratch.

From what I understand about your issues is that your iPad will currently not turn on. In attempt to resolve this issue please follow the steps in order below:
Resolution
If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let it charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged. Learn more about charging iPhone and iPod touch, or iPad.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more about restoring iOS software.
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Apple.

I have just recently updated Itunes software on my Windows 7 Laptop purchased songs. Logged in 3 days later and now says this copy of itunes may be corrupt or not installed correctly. Please advise what I should do??
