    See if anything in this procedure may help (you may not have done the uninstall/reinstall as completely as possible).
    A Thorough & Complete Uninstall and Reinstall of iTunes/QuickTime
    (Compiled from the collective wisdom of toonz and Da Gopha)
    If you want to guarantee a successful upgrade and be proactive about minimizing potential install issues, do the following:
    1. Completely Backup your music and iTunes library files.
    2. Virus check / spyware scan your machine.
    3. Completely remove / uninstall the current version of iTunes and QuickTime from your system.....
    3a. – Do a Stepwise clean uninstallation of iTunes
    3b. - Then download and install the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility
    .....And make sure iTunes is really gone.
    4. Delete the contents of your temp folder: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Temp
    5. Reboot the PC
    6. Start with the QuickTime standalone installer run from the PC (not directly from on-line)
    7. Reboot the PC
    8. Completely download (first), then run the latest iTunes Installer from your PC
    9. Reboot the PC
    The majority of problems out there on the discussion boards are caused by viruses or other system corruption — sometimes self-inflicted by the user (i.e. - people who turn off necessary Windows services) — or out of date drivers.

    At first, it can be difficult to determine which version of Numbers you are using. The user interfaces are different, but if you are new to the apps you may think you are using the new version when if fact you have launched the older version. Make sure you are using Version 3.x. Then you won't get the message that you need a newer version.
    Use Spotlight to launch Numbers. After typing Numbers into the search field, pick the result that says "Numbers -- Applications".

  • New ink doesnt work

    I bought new ink for my HP Deskjet 1050 A J410 series. It wasnt a real HP ink, but it was quality ink who was going to replace it. Called PROOVE. But now, offcorse, it doesnt work. It sais that the black ink is damaged or something. This stuff do work on other printers, I know that. But why doesnt it work on my printer?
    Do I really need to by HP ink, that is so much more expensive? :/

    As it's a non HP ink your best bet is to go back to the place of purchase. Often non HP ink doesn't have the same quality & reliability as original.

    Apple is well aware of this issue , many people have the same issue with this crap for an update, they can't fix it, giving everyone lip service. Just don't buy anything till they fix it.

    Try downloading them with iTunes on your computer. Then go to the store on your iPad and, if the developer supports it, you should see a link to legacy versions.

  • My new iPod doesnt work!!!!!

    I was just minutes ago working on my new iPod, and suddenly it froze, and all buttons would'nt work. even when i plug it to my computer, it doesnt show anything, not even that (do not dissconnect) message!!!!!

    try resetting the iPod. Turn hold on, then off and press and hold menu and the enter button in the middle of the click wheel until the screen goes blank.

  • Since updating to the new version the work web page that i use will only print 2 pages even if there are more. I can not get it to print all the pages in the document.

    for instance....I have a documents that has 6 pages, I can scroll down and see all the pages but when i hit the print button it will only print 2 pages. I tried to change it in the setting part but there is no feature that allows you to change it.

    For many years, Firefox has problems printing when some style rules are used. However, I am not aware of any changes for the worse in Fx4 (at least, until now I wasn't aware of any).
    A couple of thoughts:
    (1) Is it possible you were using an add-on in Fx3.6 that fixed this problem, but the add-on was disabled during the upgrade because it wasn't compatible? (Sometimes that can be fixed with a little hack.)
    (2) Are there any obvious settings differences that could be affecting printing, such as fonts, margins, or shrink-to-fit/percentage?
    (3) Does the workaround of selecting the entire page (Ctrl+a) and then choosing Selection under Print range in the Print dialog work? Unfortunately, this can slice through lines and images, but it often works around problems with style rules.
    In the interest of saving paper, it often is useful to experiment with a PDF printer driver. If you don't have pdfFactory, you can install a trial version for testing: it lets you view the results without first having to save the file. (If you save with the trial version, there is a footer to that effect.)
    (4) Is it an HTML5 problem? You can toggle the HTML5 parser off, but this is a global setting, not site-specific. If you are familiar with about:config, filter on html5 and double click '''html5.parser.enable''' to toggle its value from true to false. This helps for some sites, but has no effect on others.

  • New remote doesnt work

    I just got my new Vision+ box in time for BT Sport, but the remote doesnt do anything. The blue light flashes on the remote when I press a button but nothing resgisters on teh vision box.
    I'm stick at the setup stage where I have to choose a PIN.
    Any ideas?

    You might have the wrong type of remote controller.
    You said you had a Vision+ box but also said your remote has a Youview button. Have a look at the pictures on this page.

    If you have a black BT Vision+ box (made by Pace) you need a remote like one of the top two pictures.
    If you have a BT Youview box (made by Humax) you need a remote like one of the bottom two pictures.

    I have configured oracle 9i with few oracle instances.Now i wanted to create a new instance via command line.I added those entries in tnsnames.ora ,listener.ora and oratab . But when i try to start the SID with respective of it's listener , i am getting error message as mentioned below.
    TNS-01151: Missing listener name, <SID-Name>, in LISTENER.ORA
    Could you please help me to get up and running the SID ? where i have done wrong ? what are steps i have forgotten ?

    1. Create an initSID.ora file for the particular SID you want to create.
    (This is normally done by copying the template init.ora file and then editing the initSID.ora file)
    2. Create a CREATE DATABASE script file. The script file should also execute $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/catalog.sql and $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/catproc.sql (at the minimum. There are other scripts to be executed depending on what options/features you want).
    See the SQL documentation for the syntax of the CREATE DATABASE command.

    3. Do a STARTUP NOMOUNT in sqlplus '/ as sysdba'
    4. Execute the script.

  • Why is this new version not working on Youtube?

    I clicked a video and then the screen is loading but it didn't start to play the clip, it showed a word "Upgrade" instead. So I clicked on it and it led me to this Adobe Flash player downloading page. I have finished installing the software as it told me to, but the videos are still not playing like they used to be and they kept show the "Upgrade" word as if I have never done the installation of this software! It is quite bugging me since I can no longer use Youtube to watch anything! If you know the way to fix this problem please tell me, I will be very appreciated.

    My operating system is Windows XP, I think it is a pretty old version because I bought this computer around December,2006. My web browser is Internet Explore 8.0 I suppose, since I just upgraded it a month ago~

    All, the TP requires at least a 50% battery charge before it will initialy power on.
    In addition, it will not allow updates until this battery level is maintained.

  • New Sim doesnt work in unlocked iphone 4 - shows "no service"

    Hi all,
    I am locked into a UK contract with my iphone 4. I have just moved abroad (Belgium) and want to be able to use the iphone over here with a new sim. I've unlocked the phone, so it now recognises the sim but it still says "no service", even when i know that there is service...
    Someone mentioned jailbreaking - is this something i need to do/get done?

    If its anything like Australia you can have the phone unlocked for free even while on a contract. They simply don't care anymore so long as you keep paying your contract.
    I use multiple sim cards for various parts of the world that i commonly travel to to keep costs down.
    I would advise to call your telco again and have them resend the unlock sequence again (its a long path from telco-apple etc).
    In AU the telco even sends an sms advising of the unlock completion.
    Also make sure you do a full power cycle for the unlock to take effect.

  • Serial number on new cs4 doesnt work!!!`

         Hi!  I just purchased and downloaded Design Standard today, and after in installed and accepted the SN, when I went to open the programs it told me the SN was now invalid.  I have tried restarting, and deleting the cache.dl file, which works once and then when I try to activate it bounces me out again.  What can I do?  I have been on hold for almost an hour!!!
