New version of Firefox will not download

I'm running Firefox 3.6.4, but every time I download the new version, after it's done downloading it just disappears! The download folder is completely empty!
I have gone into the help menu, checked for updates and it says there are no new updates, yet Firefox still tells me that I am running this old version.
What am I doing wrong, or what step am I missing??

SJ1122 have you removed the migrated InDesign CS6 installation using the uninstaller located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder? If so then please also run the CC Cleaner tool - Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html to ensure complete removal.
Adobe applications are not designed to be copied/migrated/transferred to other computers. In the future please migrate/transfer/copy your documents and settings and reinstall your Adobe Creative Applications.

I was able to go to facebook's farmtown gifts in a new tab and collect gifts "all in one click" The new version of firefox will not let me do that

I was able to open a new tab and go to farmtown gifts and click "all in one click" I would stay signed in on facebook I can no longer do this and I want to know why. I can still go to google chrome and get it, but not firefox and firefox is my main browser

This issue can be caused by the Ask.com toolbar (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)
Your system details show that toolbar in the user agent as AskTbCDS/3.12.1.16460
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

The new version of Firefox will not load at all onto my computer. Is it possible my computer is too old?

I have been using Firefox without major problems for years but the latest update refuses to even run on my computer and I've tried everything short of reformatting. Is it possible my OS (Windows XP) won't support it?

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

I have tried for the last few days to get the latest muse without success. the older version
appears followed by an update window which won't work. Help please!

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features(Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then best is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

Restore the backup before you installed.
If you didn't make a backup, at very minimum make sure your Music library isn't compromised by locating the folder you selected the music to be in (usually in Users -> yourname -> Music) and make sure there are several MB of data there by clicking once on the folder, and selecting Get Info from the File menu in the Finder.
If you can't find it, try to locate parts of track names with Find Any File.

then determine which parent file of the .mp3 or .mpa files you have contains all of the music files by getting info under each previous folder in the folder tree.
Once you determine which folder contains all your music, back it up using the Finder, or backup the entire hard drive using cloning software at least to two different drives or two complete copies on DVDs:

You'll then want to erase and install 10.6 from the system installer you used to put 10.6 on your Mac, and run the combo 10.6.8 updater and apply the necessary security updates:

Here is the contents of a batch file which will convert whatever raws you drop on it:

Once you download the latest converter (release candidate from adobe labs, if necessary), and save the appropriate contents of the batch file (change path to match your system, and parameters to match your druthers, if applicable), the procedure is:
1. Drop raw files on bat file.
2. Import as usual (the DNGs).
Not too bad once you're set up (if DNG converter supports your raws).

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

My Firefox quit working. I threw it in trash and downloaded new version. It will not work. I get message that firefox cannot load tabs. What can I do?

Firefox has been loading slowly the past week. It hung up today. I closed it and upon reopening it gave error message: "Firefox is having trouble recovering your windows and tabs. This is usually caused by a recently opened web page." It screened an option to eliminate one or more tabs the two available were: "Window 1" and "about blank". I could do nothing with either. The other choice was to restore session and that did not work. I trashed the Firefox folder from my Applications folder and downloaded new version of Firefox. When I open it I get the same message. I have rebooted computer and downloaded new Firefox version twice. Can't make it work. I am using a MAC with 10.6.8 OS.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js [2] file and possible sessionstore-##.js [3] files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

I have a password manager built into my fingerprint scanner. It worked on the older version of Firefox but it will not on this new version. It will not recognize log in pages and will not load information.

With the old version, all I had to do was go to the log in page to any of my email accounts or membership sites and scan my finger. It would fill in the fields and open my account. I like this new version of Firefox, but if I am not able to use that password manager then I will have to install the older version.

Downloaded new version and browser will not open

After i had dowloaded new version of Firefox. I go to icon to open browser and nothing happens. It spins like it is going to open and then Nothing. I goto task manager and there is a process firefox.exe running but I browser window never opens
