  • Error 5009 0x8002802b from realtek high definition audio driver

A game I've been trying to play always crashes, and the tech people told me to update my drivers. I updated my video card without a hitch, but for the audio drivers I get this error for my realtek high definition audio driver:
    error 5009 0x8002802b
I'm using a HP 2000 Notebook PC, and I'll copy and paste info from a dxdiag if it would help at all:
System Model: HP 2000 Notebook PC
    BIOS: F.33
Processor: AMD E-300 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics (2 CPUs), ~1.3GHz
    Memory: 4096MB RAM
    Available OS Memory: 3682MB RAM
Page File: 1494MB used, 6283MB available
    Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS
    DirectX Version: DirectX 11
    DX Setup Parameters: Not found
User DPI Setting: Using System DPI
System DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent)
    DWM DPI Scaling: Disabled
    Display Devices
Card name: AMD Radeon HD 6310 Graphics
    Sound Devices
Description: Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)
    Default Sound Playback: Yes
    Default Voice Playback: Yes
    Hardware ID: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0269&SUBSYS_103C188B&REV_1002

No one out there has any ideas what I can do? Apparently this should help me play my game, although it still crashes even after I updated my video card drivers, I don't see why my audio drivers would make it crash but it would still be nice to be able to update them just to be sure thats not the reason its crashing.

  • MSI P4M900M2-L ~Realtek High Definition Audio Driver Issue Resolved In XP!

Realtek High Definition Audio Driver Issue Resolved!  MSI P4M900M2-L Intel Dual Core VIA P4M900 Chipset 8 CH Azalia Audio.
There is an issue w/ the Realtek High Definition Audio Driver for the MSI P4M900M2-L Intel Based Dual Core Via P4M900 Chipset based Motherboard w/ MS XP Home Premium Installed (Vista driver installs fine as I have built 4 of these in the last week, but the XP Audio driver doesn't).
I could not get either Audio driver from the CD driver disk nor the MSI site to install w/ Win XP Home installed. Live Update for that Motherboard does not contain the Audio Driver either.
After 3 days and multiple attempts to use MSI's very wanting (in my opinion), Technical Support forms and call-in line, I hunted, and hunted and found the driver(s) on CNET. They not only work great but as designed. I had almost given up and I actually installed an add-in sound card....But this is a machine for a customer. Then I searched again and found a real solution.
Realtek High Definition Audio Drivers are located on CNET.com's download page:
    Win2K,XP,2003,XP Pro & XP64bit=
    http://www.download.com/Realtek-High-Definition-Audio-Codec-Windows-2000-XP-2003-XP-Professional-x64-Edition-/3000-2120_4-10788584.html?tag=dl.2
    Vista=
    http://www.download.com/Realtek-High-Definition-Audio-Codec-Windows-Vista-/3000-2120_4-10788600.html?tag=dl.1
Good luck to everyone, this will save you RMA'ing those boards over a stupid Audio driver issue, as they are great w/ the Intel Dual Core 775 CPU's from 2.0~3.0Ghz. Can't really tell the difference between the 2 CPU's w/ the Dual Core Program running (a utility supplied on the driver disk or on the Driver site!) I have built both..2 of each.

  • Realtek High Definition Audio Driver Update Means NO AUDIO!

I have a HP 15-e050sa and it recently updated the driver for the Realtek HD Audio and since then the audio does not work at all. I rolled back the driver and this fixed the problem but I now get messages every day telling me that there is a new driver available, even though I've chosen to hide the update.
This problem needs to be sorted out as I can't keep dismissing the update message in case I miss something important!
    Callum_D

Hello Callum_D. I understand you are getting driver messages, even though they are supposed to be hidden. This is definitely caused by rolling back the driver you installed, since the computer now absolutely knows something is available. I would attempt a System Restore, and restore the computer to a date before you updated the driver. Here is a document on how to perform a System Restore: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-CA/windows7/products/features/system-restore
Please inform me after this is completed so I know the results. I will continue to troubleshoot if necessary. I'm only here to help!

  • Updating Realtek High Definition Audio Driver

    HP Pavillion DV6799ea;  Vista 32bit
    Hi,
Today I downloaded the updated driver sp38899.exe and during the installtion a window opened up warning me that the original driver will be removed and that after installation I need to go back to the original driver and double click on setup.exe.  I'm really confused on why I need to do this.
If the original driver is removed how can I roll back if I need to?
    Any help will be appreciated.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

The original driver can be installed from the Recovery Manager.
The Recovery manager can be accessed through an F10 keystroke as soon as possible after powerup or though use of the Recovery disc set.
The Recovery Manager serves more purposes than just rolling your PC/laptop  back to delivered state. All of the original drivers are stored in the reccovery partition and disc #2 of a Recovery disc set for use when and if necessary.

The support page for Intel D101GGC Desktop Board is here:

The audio driver listed is the Realtek ALC Audio Driver. You can download the Vista/Windows7 driver here:
    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?ProductID=2229&DwnldID=19472&lang=eng&iid=dc_rss
Is this the driver you are having problems with? If not, suggest you uninstall current non-functioning driver package and install this one instead.

There are a few things you can try.
    1) try another outlet in another room (different circuit group) to see if the sound is still present.
    2) If you are using a power protection device between your PC and the outlet and it is old replace it with a new one.
Even replacing the motherboard generally won't cure this issue as it isquite likely to be related to a problem in the (earthing) grounding and wiring in your home.
please post your results her in our tread.
