New video cannot be found after saving

I wanted to make a 1080p video into a 720p video so I opened it up into quicktime x and went save as and 720p HD, I put it in its own folder on the desktop so I wouldn't lose it but 4 hours later after converting nothing was there. It has taken HDD space so is obviously somewhere but I have searched for what it is called but cannot find it anywhere.

I have searched for what it is called but cannot find it anywhere.
Did you manually search as well as use Spotlight? Search inside the Movie as well as the Documents folder.
Try Fast File or FastFind to locate movie. Both can be found at Versiontracker and Macupdate.

  • Video file saved as photoshop CC is missing links in layers panel & video cannot be found in the timeline

I installed photoshop from the adobe online and all files have to be saved as "photoshop cc".  This new program does not give the option to save a file as photoshop cs6, etc.  I created an animation/video as a photoshop cc.  After a few days of returning to my saved file, some links are missing in the layers panel and the video/animation in the timeline cannot be found.  You would have to have downloaded the new photoshop from adobe online to know what I am talking about.  Can anyone help with this issue?

I don't do 3D animations, but Seb Zaremba said it worked in the former Photoshop CC. You can have both version installed on your computer. Go to the Creative Cloud app and Apps>Filter & version>previous versions. There you will find the installer for CC (2013). Give it a try.

  • Random songs "cannot be found" after transferring library

After spending many hours transferring my entire library to a new computer, some of my song files randomly "cannot be found". This makes no sense to me, because when I transferred the actual music files, I moved all the music in the itunes music folder on my old computer to the new one. For some reason, some of the songs that were transferred decide not to play while others, which are in the same folder that I imported will play. Can someone please help me figure out how to find all these "missing" files without having to add the folders in again (which will create annoying duplicates that I will then have to delete). Thank you...

Sounds like the songs did not exist in the iTunes folder on the old computer but were instead located elsewhere on the computer.
If they are in the iTunes folder, then something really strange is going on.

  • TM backup disk cannot be found after Snow Leopard install

Message from elsewhere re-posted here after helpful advice from Apple Discussions Team.
Just installed Snow Leopard (with TM switched off though not unplugged) and got all the software updates available. I re-installed the TM installation disk. Everything went ok until I wanted to restore from my Time Capsule. I switched the big switch on. TM is continuing to make backups but when I want to locate folders to restore TM won't go back further than the day I installed Snow Leopard. Having selected the TM disk and entered the password the dialogue tells me that the TM backup disk cannot be found and offers me the select disk dialogue again. I have gone through the unplug/plug routine.
Through Migration Assistant I tried the contents of my Pictures folder (including all my iPhoto libraries) but it just supplied an empty folder. Since I didn't migrate at the time of the Snow install I wonder whether it was migrating the earliest backup it had made after the Snow install. This would make sense if "the Time Machine backup disk cannot be found", as the dialogue keeps telling me.
    Anyone any ideas?

I'm not sure just what you did.
Did you reinstall Snow Leopard? Did you do a full restore?
First, just re-select your Time Capsule in TM Preferences.
If that doesn't help, try a "Full Reset" of TM per #A4 of the Time Machine - Troubleshooting *User Tip* at the top of this forum.
If that doesn't help, see #E2 there.
If still no help, use the Finder to see if you have two sparse bundles on your Time Capsule. If so, try mounting one manually by double-clicking it, then using the Browse option per #E2.

  • Cannot delete pages after saving a PDF in X Pro

I am on Windows 7 and Adobe Acrobat XPro.  Every time I try to delete pages in any PDF after saving I get the error message "one or more pages are in use and could not be deleted".  the work around is to close the file and then reopen.  Then you can delete the pages.  It is annoying to have to shut and reopen the file everytime after making a change.  Is there a fix to this?

Have you tried Help > Check for updates (in Acrobat)?
That very annoying problem is fixed in XI. I seem to recall it could be fixed by updating X, but I could be mistaken. Please report back.

  • Video cannot be played after exiting and reentering Apple's video app.

When I play a video in Apple's video app, leave the app and then reenter the app I cannot play the video anymore. The screen is just completely black, but the device is definitely active (e.g. the sign for assistive touch is still there). The controls that are normally shown after tapping the display cannot be coaxed to appear.
I used to have this problem under 4.3 already but then the video played if I used the controls in the taskbar (where the symbol for stopping screen rotation also is). But now these controls always start the Music app.
By the way, all videos were synced to the device after the upgrade.
Anyone else have this problem and have a solution? Any help would be appreciated.
I seriously wish I hadn't upgraded to iOS 5. No more MTG, no more chapters in audiobooks. It shouldn't be called an upgrade but a downgrade.

I'm having the same problem. I have been downloading and playing tikibar for over a year. Now, I can download it to itunes, but when I try to drag and drop it to my ipod, it says that it was not copied because it cannot be played on this ipod.
I recently had to import my music files after upgrading itunes, but I downloaded this episode after that. Audio podcasts work fine.
I tried right clicking and "converting" it to ipod. It did something, but I get the same message afterwards as well.

  • IPad cannot be found after trying to update to 7.1.1

While updating my iPad to 7.1.1 through my computer, it crashed and now it says I need to restore, but it won't let me. I cant even touch the iPad, it shows the plug into iTunes icons. itunes is recognizing the device to some extent because when I plug it in, a message comes up explaining that the iPad is in restore mode and needs to be restored before updating. I try to restore, it begins to extract the software, gets to about 99% and another message pops up saying the ipad cannot be updated. The device was not found. Also when I run diagnostics, it does not see any device. I have restarted and tried different wires. Please help.

  • Cannot reload vi after saving

    Dear everyone,
I have been creating a fairly large LabVIEW application with v8.2.1 over the last 2 months.
Now when I save my top level vi, it cannot be re-opened.  LabVIEW starts loading and displays the title bar and then hangs without displaying the front panel.
I reverted to a previous version of my top level vi and found that it could be opened and closed multiple times without problem.  However I then found that even without making any changes to the front panel or diagram I could only save it 3 times before it too would no longer load with exactly the same symptoms.
Sometimes when I make a change and then flick to another Windows application and then back to the front panel, a section of the front panel will be missing and t's vertical scroll bar is often in a different place.
This is a really serious problem for me on a critical project.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Aaron

    Hi Aaron,
what do you mean by "large application"?
Labview tends to corrupt (very) large vis especially when lots of DAQ/dll/CIN are used.
So to workaround this problem you should split your vi into smaller parts ending with a main and some subvis. This way you also have a chance to locate the problem more exactly by finding the part which is corrupting your vi...

  • WiFi cannot be found after updating.

Just updated my Apple TV after it's been unused for several months. Just before the update it was all working fine and connecting to the wifi.
Updated, restarted, now it cannot find any wireless networks.
If i restart the ATV, it connects just fine but then drops connection after about 10 seconds and then reverts back to not being able to find any networks.
    Ay ideas?

  • Root device cannot be found after fresh installation

I just made a fresh installation on my lenovo y500. Everything went well. I rebooted (without the usb), and I get the error:
"ERROR: device '/dev/sdc2' not found. Skipping fsck.
Error: Unable to find root device '/dev/sdc2"
I figured I must have goofed somewhere in the installation process, so I thought I'd just boot back into my live USB and start all over, but now the USB is not being detected whatsoever.
When I open my BIOS, I can't change my boot priorities to USB because the option isn't even present anymore. It's as if the USB isn't recognized.
When I try to boot into my (apparently broken) arch installation, I get dropped to a recovery shell after the error. Is there anything I can do in this?
I don't want to make a whole other LiveUSB because the only machines I have left to make it are windows. And I'm windows retarded...
I have already done the following:
    1. Ensured that secure boot is disabled
    2. Enabled USB Boot (However it doesn't show up in my bootable devices. Only see HDD Device and Linux Boot Manager. Both bring me to the same error)
    3. Moved my USB stick to different ports. Still not able to be detected as a bootable device
    4. Booted into recovery mode. It brings me to the same error.
Would switching my boot mode to legacy help at all? I'd rather not even try because I just don't even see how it could help.root device not found arch post installatin
This is not a dual installation. It's a clean installation because I didn't want any silly boot errors (just my luck, I guess).
Gummiboot was my chosen bootloader during installation. I only had 2 partitions made a root partition 'sdc2' and the efi partition 'sdc1' which was formatted and created with the ef00 esp code
No notable errors arose during installation and I unmounted everything before I rebooted. I am truly at my wit's end...

lknows wrote:2. /dev/sdc was the planned installation location (if that's what you're asking) When I booted into the live usb, the usb was named sda, and the command [ fdisk -l ] didn't reveal any sdb location at all.
No wonder your bootloader's not finding anything. /dev/sdc was the right installation point when you were running the LiveUSB, but it isn't the right mount point when actually booting from the machine.
Find the bootloader settings of the actual installation (inside the /boot folder) and change the /dev/sdc to either /dev/sdb or /dev/sda and then try booting in again (I suggest /dev/sdb first).
I use UUIDs with GRUB, and you can probably do something similar with gummboot. I do it so I avoid being unable to boot when my internal hard disk (I only have one) isn't recognised as /dev/sda.

I have created direct DB request with long complex query, validated sql and Results appears ok. After I save this request and go back to edit the SQL statement, the original statement is only partially visible. Basically I can not do edit.
Is there any Query related buffer or other configuration parms I have to set up?

I'm not sure what the deal is between Flex/AIR and Visusal Studios, but i descided to publish my webservices and point the wsdl there instead of using the visual studio generated one.
    AND BEHOLD
I't worked and worked much much faster than i was anticipating.
So i'll just chalk it up to poor communication between FLEX and VS.  But if anybody knows a more complete answer I would still love to hear it.

  • PDF download for my camera manual cannot be found after downloading

I have downloaded a Nikon manual for my camera twice. It is a PDF document. It is not in downloads, documents or anywhere else that I know where to look - can you help?

You are using Firefox 4 and I've not used it before but perhaps I can help you.
Try using XP search to find the file. Click Start and then click Search and search for files and folders.
For the file name to search for, put in *.pdf and start the search.
This will search for all PDF files on your system. It may take a while, but if you have downloaded the file, it should be found.
I don't know if Firefox 4 has the same feature, but look in the Tools menu (or its equivalent for Firefox 4) for a way to display the Downloads window.
This will contain a list of everything you have downloaded. If you find the camera manual in the list, right click on it and select Open Containing Folder -- this may be different in Firefox 4.
    Hope this helps.
    Stan
