New video editing pc.. will this work ? i'm new here, please help me out

i'm a pro musician my thing has always been protools, recording production etc. its time for me to get into video using adobe premiere pro
mostly i'll be doing my own music vids for my solo projects and for my band as well as professionally done as possible. i'm a nebie at all things video but i'm totally obsessive when it come to creative projects. it helps with the learning curve (:

will this setup be able to handle both my protools and adobe premier cs5? am i missing something ?
what would be the best HD set up wise for max audio/video performance ? i was thinking a dual boot ?
with 2 new hd's i'll have 5 all told.
3 for video... 150 veloci raptor 2tb Hitachi and WD 640
..2 for protools... the wd 160 and the WD 500
i guess i'm looking for the best way to set up my rig for max audio/video performance and pass the information on to my cuz who's in the pc building biz his thing is gaming not so much video editing.
i really hope i wrote this out correctly so everybody can understand what i'm trying to say and will be able to give me the proper guidance i need

my cousin gino orffitelli who's mainly a gamer builder for his company ePro had this to say in an email to me last nite.. he gave kool props to the adobe forums
'finally had a few min read through your email and skim the links you made in adobe'.....'as far as storage is concerend i believe the mobo's your looking at support RAID and from what i read thanks to your links, RAID 5 offers the best performance and saftey which means 4 HDD's.....' with the knowlege base your building and contacts u have you and i may just open a new direction for ePRO'.....

I'm going nuts here...
This morning everything on my old 2003 white I Book was great. It was operating VERY fast and fine.
I turned on my computer this morning, everything worked great, and I was reading things on the Net just fine.
I then saw there was a "Software Update", two of them actually, they were a "Security Update", and also a "Java For Mac 10.4 Release 8".
I downloaded both of them successfully through the Software Update feature.
After doing that I restarted my computer, and everything seemed okay.
But now the audio on my computer is gone, or messed up somehow. NO it is NOT on mute. The volume says it is on full blast, but there is no volume at all.I played YouTube videos, I tried a regular physical audio CD, I tried radio from the internet, all no sound. I tried disconnecting my speakers, I tried a full restart, I "verified preferences" and "repaired preferences", and I also put in my Tiger original disc and booted from that and ran "First Aid"... none of these have worked.
When you click the little volume button(s) up/down from the keyboard it simply shows all volume bars to the full "all the way loud position", and a circle with the diagonal line through it just underneath that.
I looked around in System Preferences in "Sound" and saw nothing wrong there from what I could tell.
I have no idea what to do and am very frustrated and do NOT want to have to redo my whole computer from the very beginning again with the Tiger disc, I have already done that 3 times in the last two years.I know this must have something to do with the Software Updates I did this morning.
Anyone ?

Boot from the installer disk, select language if applicable, choose utilities, run Disk Utility and verify (and repair if necessary) the drive. You can verify a drive from DU on your main drive while booted but I have found this can result in incorrect reporting of errors. To repair your drive you have to run it from a drive other than the boot drive anyway.
Next, boot from your drive in [Safe Mode|http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107393] and repair permissions. You can repair permissions while booted from the installer disc but this uses the permissions configuration on the installer disc which may be out of date if you have run any updates on your computer. Booting your computer to Safe Mode restricts the number of things running on your computer while permissions are being run and done a bit of spring cleaning at the same time.

Many of us do not let Software Update do updates. We download them from Apple and install them one by one, verifying the drive and repairing permissions before and after with Disk Utility, testing between each update. And, of course, backing up the drive completely before hand should something go wrong. We can then restore in a matter of minutes.

You’re having a problem with the fingerprint reader not working.
Go into device manager and uninstall the Biometric device. Don’t restart the computer.
Go to HP.com and update the Fingerprint reader, this will be the newest driver.

Messages will not work after lots of troubleshooting - please help

Hello, I'm having difficulty with Messages.

I apologize for the short initial post... I tried to insert images of the issues I am having and the support board deleted my entire message and said "We'll Be Right Back!" LOL
I installed 1Password today, changed my iCloud password, and Messages went kind of bizzarro on my iphone from there. I restored my iPhone and now iMessages works on that little guy again. I'm not successful in getting it to work on the Mac however.
I have tried all the instructions listed by Linc in another post, but was unsuccessful correcting the problem after moving the .plist files, or deleting them
The messages pane is completely empty. The "preferences" and "add account" selections under Messages are greyed out. I was trying to insert an image of that earlier....
Here is everything else I have done:
1. I logged into the guest account, and was able to use Messages without issue
2. I logged completely out of my iCloud account on both my iPhone and the Mac
3. I was successful in logging into FaceTime, but again, Messages is MIA

HI, im new here please help

WHen i try to use iwisoft free video downloader it says error that adobe flash player isnt installed which it is im not sure if its a problem with adobe or something else anyone help?

well i dont know my os version but its windows vista and t firefox 20.0.1 plus the latest adobe flash player 11.7.700.169 as for the problme its well as i said i try to run iwisoft and the error msg comes up saying i need to have adobe which i do any time i double click the icon to run it even as admin it says that.
I think it happned after the newest adobe which i think messed it up because now any time i try to run the program a window pops up saying that error but it dont say an error code or anything. but as i said i have adobe and i tried reinstalling and i tried following other stuff but nothing seems to work. the error message says this
Error adobe flash player has not been installed. please install it firstly then it hsa a link to the adobe site.

Hey - is there a mac specifc place where I can upload my photos for others to see and purchase it they want them? I have an iWeb website, but people cant get on there an purchase prints. Is there some way I can do this from iPhoto (rather than using snapfish or something similar)?

Are you running a Managed or a Referenced Library?
A Managed Library, is the default setting, and iPhoto copies files into the iPhoto Library when Importing. The files are then stored in the Library package
A Referenced Library is when iPhoto is NOT copying the files into the iPhoto Library when importing because you made a change at iPhoto -> Preferences -> Advanced. (You unchecked the option to copy files into the Library on import) The files are then stored where ever you put them and not in the Library package. In this scenario you are responsible for the File Management.
Assuming a Managed Library:
Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
1. Quit iPhoto
2. Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.

When you install OS X Lion using the USB thumb drive, you will not be able to reinstall OS X Lion from Lion Recovery. You will need to use the USB thumb drive to reinstall OS X Lion.
So, if the Thumb drive is supposed to take the part of the Recovery partition, it seems that it should be able to boot. However, the license agreement still requires an Apple computer running Snow Leopard, so maybe it isn't bootable.
