New VZW customer - have yet to pick a phone. Can I get it subsidized from anyone other than VZW?

Maybe a silly question but here we go.
My family and I just signed a new family plan contract with Verizon coming from AT&T. We have the rest of the month still on AT&T so I have yet to purchase a new phone from Verizon yet. I am interested in the Note 2 and have found it on Amazon Wireless for $199 or Let's Talk for $180 for new Verizon customers. Am I able to get this price? Or am I stuck paying VZW's full rate because we signed up directly through them?

If you have signed a contract, you have 14 days to get out of it. Keep in mind going with another provider, especially Let's Talk, you have an additional contract you are signing with an additional ETF to be paid.
With Let's Talk, if you make a change to your plan within 180 days of purchase, you will get hit with a $350ETF and will still be under contract with VZW.

If you have iMovie it can import video from most camcorders, but not all.   It comes with every Mac Pro.    If you need to restore it from the original installer discs, these are the directions:

Typically iMovie can import if you connect via IEEE 1394 or USB.   IEEE 1394 comes in three flavors:
4 pin (typical for many camcorders), 6 pin (known as bus powered Firewire 400), 9 pin (known as Firewire 800 or 1394b).   Cables exist to connect each type of Firewire to each other. Locate your Camcorder directions on Sony's website to determine what pinout exists if you don't have the manual.
Double check on Sony's website there isn't a firmware update for compatibility with your operating system.
Push comes to shove, you may have to install Windows on your Mac to connect the Camcorder.

You can download the CS6 trial version just like anybody else.
Once you download it, you can install it, input your serial number, register it and apply all necessary updates.

Have you tried basics fro the manual? restart, reset, restore.

The Early 2006 model 1,1 Core Duo can only run a maximum of 10.6 Snow Leopard. The models Late 2006 Core 2 Duos 2,1 through Early 2008 4,1 can only run a maximum of 10.7 Lion. The Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody through the Mid 2010 White Unibody model 7,1 can run 10.8 Mountain Lion.
To see which model you have go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When System Profiler comes up check the Model Identifier and post it back here.
The Snow Leopard 10.6 DVD should still be available from Apple for $20. You will have to call Apple Customer Care 1-800-692-7753 or 1-800-676-2775 to purchase it. It may still be in the Legacy Products list.
If they no longer have any in stock you will have to buy it from eBay or Apple resellers that still have stock. But you will have to pay a premium since the DVDs are no longer being made. Snow Leopard DVDs are already up to $100 on Amazon.

Once you are at 10.6.8 Lion is still available from Apple. You will have to call Apple Customer Care 1-800-692-7753 or 1-800-676-2775. to purchase it. Then within 3 days you will get an email with a code which you can use to download Lion from the App Store. The price is still $29. You must have at least a model 2,1 MacBook.
Lion will require at least 2gb of RAM but really needs 4gb to run smoothly.

Also Lion doesn't run any Power PC programs. To see if you have any Power PC programs go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When System Profiler comes up select Applications under Software. Then look under Kind to see if any of your applications are listed as Power PC. Universal and Intel will run under Lion.

Applications written for the Power PC processors need the application called Rosetta to run on Intel processors. To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone (if you're using iOS 7), then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. There is no "adding" a device. Simply plug the iDevice into the computer. iTunes should automatically detect the device when it is connected.
iTunes can sync/manage as many iDevices as you want... there is no 1 device limit.

Based on your post it sounds like you would like to sync your iBooks content with your computer. I have located an article that may help you in this situation. While you can sync this data with your computer you can also use the sharing button to send PDFs using various sources:
