Activate design manager (sandbox) solution using power shell - SP2013

Hi All,
I have a design manager (sandbox) solution and deployed in site collection. I am trying to upload the new version using power shell.
Uninstall-SPUserSolution , Remove-SPUserSolution, Add-SPUserSolution and finally doing Install-SPUserSolution on that time i am getting the following error " Install-SPUserSolution : This file may not be moved, deleted,
renamed, or otherwise edited." kindly help me for this issue.

Can you please provide more details on your solution package? Did you use SharePoint Design Manager to create design package? If that is the case then if you read the following article it reads and
"In SharePoint 2013 you cannot uninstall an imported design package, and you should never attempt to deactivate a design package through the solution gallery."

I am using config Manger 2012 and trying to use power shell cmdlet to create a new Global Condition using PowerShell but its not working for me using this
Do not understand how to use that command any idea.

What's your version of SCCM? I ran this command line on SCCM 2012 R2 CU2.
It seems SCCM 2012 R2 CU2 fixed New-CMGlobalCondition cmdlet issue.

Please help me upgrade my new/used Power Mac G5

I recently receieved a used Power Mac G5, Model Identifier: PowerMac7.2.
The Specs are:
Apple Mac G5 Tower. G5 1.6gHz Processor, 1 Gig DDR Ram, SATA 80 GiG Hard Drive, DVD-R Optical Drive, Nvidia AGP FX 5200 64 Bit Video Card. This unit operates on Leopard 10.5 OS
Can someone who knows Macs well help me with software and hardware. What is the best set up I can have to make my G5 fast, powerful, and up-to-date without buying a new one.

Highest OS you should use is 10.5...Leopard. RAM...between 4GB and 8GB. It will run FCP 7...the entire suite...but it will not convert anything to ProRes. It doesn't have the power. It won't be able to deal with most (talking 80-90%) of the new camera formats (AVCintra, AVCHD, H.264, RED).
Sorry, but that machine is 6 years out of date. Actually...1.6Ghz processor...8 years out of date. There is no way it will be "up to date." Your MacBook Pro will run CIRCLES around it.

I guess that it just had a bad connecting port on the phone itself, no clue why it wouldn't work when plugged in both ways other than there is actually some differentiating between the two sides.

Add or delete the summary links web part's[deployed as a VS solution] link using power shell

hi,
i am having a visual studio custom solution having page layouts implemented. In that solution i am having 1 summary links web part and in that i have hard coded few links and this is deployed on ion dev and staging env.
Now, the issue is : yesterday, customer came to me and asking me to change the links from http://abc to
http://xyz/ in this summary links. can anyone pls throw some light,such that i can change this link using a power shell script. i know if i go the VS solution and change the link and redeploy [ update-spsolution
command] will work.
but if the links are changing regularly , chnaging the vs solution and redeploying is not a good practice.
if i elaborate li'l bit, i am adding the screen shot : i need to get the summary link column's value and need to update[ delete xisting one and add new ones ]
is there any way , i can change the links using power shell script?

Could you tell us why do you want to add a link web part to the master page for all pages?
I tested that Summary Links web part (and other types of web parts) added in the master page under Quick Launch couldn't be edited when I edit the pages inherited from v4.master page, it looks by design.
Have you tried using the Quick Launch to add the link instead if you want to show links in all pages.

An advice for an used Power Mac G5 dual core 2.3

Hello.
I used a Power Mac G5 PCI-X (sett. 2003) 2.0 GHz, working with Photoshop. It worked great for yeras, but now, due to its typical logic board lack, it got broken and is unable to boot anymore (three times flashing power light).
Now, I use software for PowerPC CPUs, so I can't get new computers, because I should replace all the software too!
I'm going to buy an used Power Mac G5 dual core 2.3 GHz:

I tried heating it (not with the hair dryer), after about 1 hour it booted and worked very well, as in past. But when I powered it off, it started again with the same problem: unable to boot and three times flashing light.
I need a working system.
Furthermore, I removed the hard disk (sata 160 GB), and installed it in a Mac Pro: but it recognized only the second partition (data). So I run the Disk Utility and gave immediately an error (wrote in red and big), writing that the hard disk had a serious physical problem, and that if the computer was able to see the disk, I had to make immediately a backup.
But the three-times flashing light error of the G5 was not given due to the hard disk, because I tried several times to boot it from the OSX DVD, also removing the hard disk, and it always gave the same problem.

Thinkpad T-60 New Adapter, No Power

Hello folks This laptop was working perfectly until one day when my AC cord wasn't in the best shape (it was a frayed at the plug in point. Dog chewed it.) I plugged it in and it sparked, after that it lost the ability to charge the battery. Still running on battery power it worked perfectly. So I ordered a new IBM AC power adapter just like the factory one, no satisfaction, tested adapter with TVM and all was good with adapter. Tried ATX Reset, no joy. So the laptop works perfectly with battery power it just doesnt charge! Can anyone help me??

you probably caused an electrical short in the power plug of the laptop. Hopefully you would just need to change the power plug and it will fix the problem. Otherwise you are looking at a new motherboard.
You maybe able to power the laptop through AC using a port replicator, advanced mini dock, etc, which can provide ac power through the dock connector.

How to use power not battery?

Just got new Mac Book Pro--my first laptop. I am confused about the power cord and the power adapter. How do I run the laptop using power connection instead of battery? The power cord only plugs into the adapter, not the machine. I'm off to a great start--can't seem to figure this out.

Yes, in fact it's a good idea to use the AC adaptor whenever it's convenient. There's no harm done to the computer or to the battery. See more:

After again experiencing problems I took the iMac back to the reseller where I bought it. They were able to replicate the defect and I received a new logic board. The invoiced cost (covered by warranty, luckily!) was $1,067 for the logic board and $85 for labor. The hard drive was erased but OSX Tiger was pre-installed when I picked up the computer. (BTW, Backup 3 is a very nice backup utility!) Now my iMac seems to be working perfectly, and the energy saver/sleep function works normally again.

Well, typically one of the fixes that I would suggest is to try to delete the waiting icons. WIFi in a public places like McDonalds, Starbucks, B&N, etc. is not the greatest and I would avoid those places for downloading and updating apps. But I do realize that not everybody has access to Wifi in their homes.
These are all things that have worked at one time or another for other users. Hopefull one of them will work for you. Just ignore whatever does not apply or anything that you have already tried.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

There are two parts.
1. Adding a group to the site collection.
2. assigning permissions to the group.
The PS script given below first ensures if the group exists or not and then executes the logic. If the group already exists, then it will not add group the site. I would recommed to test it in Dev environment and then use in Prod.

I would like to use Power Nap as developer to download data for my app. The automatically waking up feature is a nice thing.
Could this be possible with a Mac App?

I know, what apple allows, it is written everywhere.
But can I, say, update data in my app (that is not Documents in the Cloud, Mail, Reminders, bla bla bla), maybe big data, like new maps for a application, that needs always the newest maps of a country.
Do you get the point?
