SLDCHECK works and done the readyness-check.
Now how to import the Demo examples into IR.

Thats simple..
In ECC system
1. Change the RFC destination LRCSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI in sucha way that tt points XI system(make the same setting that you have done in XI system and make sure you are giving the right gateway host and service)
2. Goto SLDAPICUST transcation and change the URL, user ID and password. (Same settings as XI system)
3. Run Transcation SLDCHECK it should be succesful and it should open up the SLD of xi system.

I got a new laptop and downloaded iTunes, when I put new music on it for the first time, my entire music library disappeared, leaving me with only newly downloaded music in my library. My iPod still has all my old music.

Recently, I bought a new laptop (a Lenovo), so I downloaded iTunes to it. When I bought new music from iTunes for the first time on the new computer, I went to my music library and there was no music, except for the new songs I had just bought. I have no idea what happened, I've had hundreds of songs I've bought from iTunes or downloaded from bought CDs over the years, which are all still on my iPod (nano, from 2008), and suddenly they just didn't seem to exist. I have yet to access the iTunes account on my previous laptop to see if my music is still there, but I would assume yes. When I went to sync my iPod to my iTunes to at least get the new songs to the iPod (so that my complete library can be on at least one device), I realized that in order to sync my iPod to my iTunes, I would be deleting all my old music and replacing it with the new. So now, I only have a few new songs on my laptop's iTunes, and only my old songs on my iPod. In both cases I paid for all the music, so I don't want to just delete any of it. Is there any way to fix this?

Also-I tried to use my backup hard drive, but I wasn't able to drag/transfer/send/move any of my muic files onto my iTouch when the iTouch was connected to my computer. I can't figure out why it won't let me do that.
The only thing I can see when I open my iTouch on my computer is my file with photos. I can't see videos, music, or anything else. What's going on?

Brand new macbook air wont power up first time

Just got my first Mac ever - Macbook Air 13.3. It's been plugged in & charging for almost 4 hours. Upon first plug-in, the light was green for maybe 2 to 3 seconds - then went amber. No matter how many different outlets I used - same result. I figured the unit needed to charge but it's been almost 4 hours and I'm anxious. The light stays amber I just spent 1400 bucks on a unit that I though would start up/be charged or at the very least somewhat charged upon opening. Even my cheapo $750 Dell started up immediately out of the box.
I've tried 4 different outlets - same results (green to amber). Tried with and without the AC adapter - same results (green to amber) - currently it is hooked up with the AC adapter. It just wont start.
Are my expectations too high? I've had this for less than 6 hours and I'm curious if I'm wasting my time continuing to wait. NO where does it say "You will need to charge your new laptop for such and such hours" or "Your new laptop will not come charged" or "Your new laptop - when plugged in for the first time - will go from green to amber within a few seconds - this is normal." Just shows me a pic of the parts with no further information. The instructions are so minimal, but that was okay - I figured I'd get all I needed once I booted up. But it won't boot up! <laughing!>

The light changing from green to amber just indicates that it is charging. Tap the power button in the top right of the keyboard one time. If it still doesn't power up, try this procedure.

When creating a custom default user profile for an image, I get the error "A keychain cannot be found to store "safari" when a new user logs in for the first time.

My "profile" account works flawlessly with the exception of safari. I had copied the entire user template folder to the default location in OS X 10.10 and removed the entire keychain folder. However, whenever someone logs into the computer for the first time and opens Safari, they are greeted with the error message "A keychain cannot be found to store safari".

If you've just changed your login password in Recovery mode, follow these instructions. Otherwise, see below.
At some point, you may have reset your keychain to default in Keychain Access. That action would have caused your login keychain to be renamed.
Back up all data before proceeding.
In Keychain Access, delete the login keychain from the keychain list. Choose Delete References when prompted, not Delete References & Files.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it, then copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
~/Library/Keychains
In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V), and press return. A folder will open. Rename the file "login.keychain" in that folder to something like "login-old.keychain". Rename the file "login_renamed_1.keychain" to "login.keychain". You can then close the folder.
Back in Keychain Access, select
File ▹ Add Keychain...
from the menu bar. Add back the file now named "login.keychain". If any of your needed keychain items are missing from it, also add back the file you named "login-old.keychain". I suggest you transfer any needed items from that keychain to the login keychain, then delete it. The transfers are made by drag-and-drop in Keychain Access. You'll need to enter your password for each item transferred.

I have a 27" imac (intel) my hard drive failed and I installed a new one. This is my first time dealing with this so I am having trouble re-installing the OS. Install disc spits out and ? mark with folder appears what am I missing?

Like the title says. My 1 TB drive failed and unfortunately my computer isn't covered on the replacement program even though my hard drive is the one they are claiming to replace. So that is not a solution just to get that out of the way. So I replaced the hard drive. What I am having trouble with is re-installing my OS. I have 10.6. When I load it and restart it just spits it out and I get the question mark folder. What am I doing wrong is there a step I'm missing? I did do a back up to my Time Machine before the crash. Can I plug it into it and reload format? I'm new to this so any help would be appreciated.

Well, let's hope that nothing was jiggled out of place when you were installing the new hard drive. Your optical drive may just be out of alignment or the disc you have is "dirty." Get a lint-free cloth and some rubbing alcohol, then clean the disc as thoroughly as you can starting from the center and working outward in a concentric circlular motion. See if that helps. In particular clean the inner portion well.
If this does not help, then you have a problem. You have opened the computer yourself. That action voids all support from Apple. If you take the computer in for service the store may refuse to service the computer. This is not related to your now expired warranty.

New iMac is VERY SLOW on first time bootup

I just bought a new iMac this evening and am trying to get through the initial setup but this thing is TERRIBLY slow. I'm wondering if I purchased a bad one or something. When im going through the set up menue (selecting country and connecting to internet), i click continue and it sits there for 30 seconds before it actually registered that I clicked continue.
When i first plugged in the power cord and it started up...it sat at the white boot up screen (with apple logo and loading wheel) for 15 minutes before it finally started the setup process.
Is this normal or did I get a DOA computer?

Not normal, I have had a few iMacs and they have never done that. I imagine even with the standard option 5400rpm drive in the new 21.5" iMacs it should still boot faster. Take it back, its new get another one.

New to OSX Server... first time setup!

I am new to Mac Servers and could use some help. I bought the server for my wifes small business and I have creaded an A record that points to it sub.mywebsite.com. Now the question is when setting up the server when it asks for a dns name should I use sub.mywebsite.com or just my website.com.
I noticed that after setting it up the email addresses for user accounts were [email protected] instead of [email protected] Would it be better for me to have put mywebsite.com or can i simply add a virtual host for mywebsite.com
for information and background purposes. The goal of the implementation is to bring email, calendars and contacts inhouse as well as have a wiki/internal blog. the main website is being hosted and i have no plans to bring it in house.

I concur with Jeff - the server's name should be a fully-qualified hostname, so something like 'sub.yourdomain.com' is valid (as long as you own yourdomain.com). It is infinitely preferable to 'yourdomain.com' since that way you're essentially saying this machine is the domain and while that might be true now if this is the only machine servicing your domain, it might not be true tomorrow, or next month, or next year.
As for the email addresses, that's just a side effect of the default configuration - the mail server doesn't know any better and just appends the FQDN to form email addresses. Once you finish configuring the mail server (at least tell it that it's the mail server for yourdomain.com not sub.yourdomain.com) that problem will go away.

Uploaded content first time - now wont upload

I received a replacement 20GB ipod (my 4th faulty one in a year...) and managed to plug it in and successfully load 56 of the 1000+ songs in itunes to it. Half way through it stopped all by itself.
Now when I plug it in to try and continue uploading, it thinks about it for a while, starts 'updating my ipod - then stops and returns the error message:
"Unknown error (-36)"
I have a fairly old computer with not much memory, so itunes is stored on an external hard-drive.
Any ideas? I desperately want my ipod back - with the songs on it!

First time import

All,
First time on the forum, so thanks in advance. Have downloaded L/R5 and am attempting to import for the first time. Source is "EOS_DIGIGTAL" SD card from Canon EOS. All pictures are on the card. When selecting "Import", a new window opens which is a "Copy as DNG" which, during reading all tutorials, is never mentioned. I would like to just import directly from the source card to Macintosh HD. Also, "NO PHOTOS" shows as well. Again, thanks for the help.

If we are being pedantic it may noteven need a charge initially in that case ,it may have sufficient power ,
assume we are ok with the green battery being full green for 100% charge

Sorry. although I understand where you are coming from, I really don't have anything to add to my previous post. If no card reader, copy from camera to hard disk if you can. If you cant, then buy a card reader.. I mean, maybe you or somebody will come up with something else before it comes down to that, but if not..
PS - It's critical that your camera is emulating a disk drive. Is it? Can you browse to and open the files using your OS? if not, Lr won't stand a chance.

Download music from ipod when opening iTunes for the first time?

I just got a new iMac at work and the first time I plugged my iPod into the comupter to charge it up it opened my iTunes and then started to download all my songs from my iPod. Being 7am I wasn't thinking properly and pressed cancle to stop the download, then I remember I have 500GB free memory and why shouldn't I have my music on the computer. The problem is I can't get it to download the music again. I know you not ment to be able to download from your ipod but that is what happened.
I have tried completely uninstalling iTunes by removing the icon in Applications and in the User>Music folder to get the same result but it makes no difference, where I once had a couple of meg's worth of music which had started to download I have none. Can somebody please explain to me how this happened and how I can revert iTunes back to how it was before I opened it so I can quickly download all my music onto my computer??

We'll unfortunately that's not true. I had though that was the case as well until this happened. I wasn't sure if this a new feature that iTunes had for when you first attach an ipod to a new iTunes (where you need to go through the terms and conditions, and set up your settings at the beginging).
I have downloaded very little from the iTunes store and the things which got downloaded were some funny adds which I had converted and put on my ipod as well as some AC/DC, some Beatles and a collection of 179 other songs (I'd be lucky if I've downloaded 5 songs in my life from iTunes). Before deleting everything in the hope that I could do it again I even played a couple of them in case all it had done was take the album artwork or something. But they all play fine and none of them were ones I had downloaded.
Does anyone know what's happened and how it can be repeated?
As to the other ways of getting music of your ipod I'm aware of them and have used irip in the past without any problems. I know how to do it that way but now that I have been made aware of this other way I was wanting to clear up how it happened and if it can be repeated, say if I was to reinstall iTunes.

Charging for first time: Will Itunes auto sync ?

I'm about to charge a new 4 gHz Nano for the first time , using a Windows XP PC. I will charge it for a few hours in advance of giving it to my son for his birthday tomrrow. One quick question...
We currently have Itunes 7.0 on the PC with two different playlists (his and mine), plus some podcasts of mine. When I plug in the Nano to the PC for the first time, will it just charge the unit of will Itunes automatically launch and sync the existing Itunes music? I'm looking to avoid having my son getting all of my music with the first sync.

When you plug the new Nano in for the first time, it will get installed (if it's charged enough)--or, it will just charge until it's ready. Then you'll get boxes with choices. Since you and your son will have different music on your players, it's probably best to choose the manual update option when that screen opens. Once the iPod is charged, with the manual update option selected, you'll be able to choose the playlists/songs you want to load on your son's new Nano.
