New Yoga 13 owner - gaming info.

Hi all,
Got my Yoga 13 in the week. After a lot of research and countless hours watching videos about the 2-3 hybrids I was interested in, I finally plumped for the Yoga. Haven't regretted my choice, absolute love it!
I work as a web developer, so my primary use is for the Adobe suite of tools. Coming from a fairly decent spec'd Sony Vaio 17" laptop with 8gb of ram, I was a bit concerned if the Yoga would be able to cope with my usage, but it runs all my apps flawlessly thankfully. I should be getting an 8gb stick today, so should be even snappier.
I also wanted to use the Yoga for some gaming. An unnecessary backstory, is I'm due to be a dad for the first time in May and used to work (and play) out of the incoming baby's nursery, in which I had a very powerful gaming tower which I've now sold.
So this is a more portable solution so I can work and play anywhere in the house and we don't have to rehouse the bulky tower. Annnnnnyways, I didn't have high hopes really for the most powerful games - though I'm just as happy as a casual gamer, playing match 3s or more old skool games (I'm 37) or indie games.
To compound the performance problem, I decided that I would load all my games onto a 128gb sd card, not noted for their performance! (Got a Kingston class 10 card from Amazon for about £80).
As I couldn't find much info when I was looking around at the Yoga about gaming, I thought I'd put info in here that may help others. So with all the waffle over....
SimCity: I saw a few questions asking how this run and not any answers. Install (and I installed Origin on the sd too) took a long time as expected, especially downloading and processing the first path. Once in the game though, it ran surprisingly well indeed!
Load times were fairly long (I'm gonna be saying that a lot abut all games, but just bear it in mind), but I'm happy with the trade off as long as the games run!
I've not got the biggest city yet, but as I say, ran smooth, panning and zooming was fine and smooth and could zoom down to street level with no problems. Whether this will change when I get a bigger city I don't know, I'll have to update at a later date!
F1 2012: next I wanted to try something that would really test the Yoga. Install took AN AGE. I'm talking 3+ hours, but I was downloading from Steam so I don't know where the blame lies (steam, slow wifi, writing to sd card etc). Anyways once installed, the loading time to get into the game wasn't too bad at all. The smoothness of the main menu gave me hope - again, surprised and impressed at the Yogas power.
I ran some benchmark tests at various detail settings and best I could get was 28fps, but I'm by no means an expert at configuring games for performance.
The detail is quite low, but certainly not ugly. The only issue is it not running full screen. Can't remember the resolution, but there is a fair border round the edge.
In game, I'd say its certainy playable. Did a quick race in Australia and you can definitely feel the lack of buttery smoothness due to the fps being below even 30, but I never felt it hampered my driving, so I'm hopeful this is going to remain playable!
FIFA 13: only had a VERY quick go on this as I was dashing out just after it installed. Load times were acceptable, but the first graphic settings I used means its no looker. Very dark and lack of nice colour and detail was disappointing. Also had a low fps, I'm guessing sub 30, but I'm not using fraps so can't be sure.
Ill play around with this one more today.
Civ V: this was the surprise of the bunch so far. Load times were massive, but there are options in the game to run a dedicated Win 8 touch mode which was a nice surprise. In game, things looked good and ran smooth! Think this is going to be an ideal game for the Yoga.
COD:MW3: just wanted to try an fps and see how it went. I think this might be too taxing for the Yoga. At very low settings, it was still pretty stuttery in the few online games I had. May be due to wifi though. Reserving judgement and will try some other fps games today.
Bejeweled 3: just wanted to try a throwaway game and this ran on high graphic settings and also VERY nice using the touchscreen. Perfect for the Yoga!
FTL:Faster Than Light: again, just a little indie game to try that isn't going to push the Yoga. As expected, ran smooth, no problems and load times were ok.
SUMMARY
As I say, I'll try and update this more if people are interested, but in closing, the Yoga as a gaming machine I feel is very usable indeed. As long as you don't expect to run ultra details at 60fps, then anything else is a bonus looking forward to trying more and remember, I was running these from an sd card, so performance may be better run from an ssd.
My system is the i7 with 4gb of ram. Again, once I stick the 8gb stick in, I'll update any performance I get.

Basically, I'm finding most games will run 'ok'. Certainly playable, if not the prettiest (with some exceptions).
Trackmania Nations: runs very good fps, left it on auto detail and it looks very nice indeed. Not the most taxing of games graphically, but still nice to see. Seemed to take an age too load, but did have something else downloading to sd card at time.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2011: yea, I know it's a bit old, but I like it! The launcher won't let you choose above "low" graphics settings as it says the card isn't good enough (just think it can't find it properly). No way around this that I can find. However, it loads fast and still runs, still looks good and plays at a very good fps. Very pleased with this one!
Counter-Strike GO: thought I'd download this and give it a whirl as it looked fun and not too demanding for an fps. Left the graphics on default (mostly low) but still looks very nice indeed and runs at an excellent fps. No problems, even online and played for a good few hours last night without a hitch.
Diablo 3: installed and starts fine. Didn't get chance to get into any intense battles, but seemed fine wandering round the town.
Starcraft 3: installed but not tried yet.
Also tried some f2p / browser games;
Super Monday Night Combat: won't launch at all. Not sure why.
World Golf Tour: runs fine and looks good
Planetscape 2: installed, but haven't tried it yet. Had trouble getting it all downloaded, but was trying to do too much on my sd card at the time I think!
