New Zen "Album Art&qu

I just purchased the New Zen 6GB but I'm running into an issue wherein the same album cover is being displayed for a good majority of songs that it does not belong to. ) Can anyone offer me advice how I can remove the album cover from the songs that it doesn't belong to??2) how do I ensure that all songs have the correct album cover?

hey ther!
Hmm.. well.. Lets see..
It might be..
If the way the new Zen acts like the Zen Vision : M .. then there might be a slight problem.
Just make sure every tracks of yours have their own album art and are assigned unique album names or so.
I recommend you first make your PC Library (assuming thats your music source) all neat with the right Album Art and all that..
Use Media Monkey.. its a good organization (music) tool.
Anything more.. ask!Message Edited by alien_brain on 0-28-200707:2 PM

  • Switching location of album art

    Hello,
The new iTunes album art gathering function is cool, but I don't want all those images on my hard drive. I have a ton of music and store it all on an external drive. I can't figure out how to do the same thing with the art, and when I simply move the art folder to the external drive, all the art in iTunes disappears.
    Any Ideas?
    Thanks!

Go to Amazon, find the album using their search engine. Click on the cover art to open it properly. right click for menu, copy. Back in iTunes select song(s), (or click on whole album in browse list) right click in artwork box at bottom left of window, paste. sometimes the artwork doesn't fill the window, has a white border around. This is cos you've not opened the album's own page in Amazon (as if you were reading more about it or buying it).

  • Album art will not sync to iPod...

Normally my album art works fine. Upload it to my songs from a picture file on my hard drive, works fine. But lately, all of a sudden, any new uploaded album art pictures to songs do not sync to the iPod. None of them. When getting the info for a song on iTunes, the album art shows up fine; but they refuse to sync to the iPod. The song syncs fine; but the album art does not go with it.
The album art pictures I uploaded are all standard .jpg files, they are no larger in resolution, size, or memory than other album arts that I uploaded in the past that work fine. This just started happening all of a sudden, without any preferences being changed or anything. I've tried finding new pictures to use, but that didn't work. I've tried re-installing iTunes, that didn't work. I've tried ejecting and not ejecting my iPod before disconnecting it, neither do anything. I've tried deleting and replacing the entire song on iTunes, did nothing.
Has this happened to anyone else? What could be causing this?

Actually, toggling that option and syncing made it so now no artwork shows up on my iPod at all...
Please say there's another option for syncing artwork. Because that option just made things worse.

  • Album Art does not transfer

My new iPod 5th gen is working smashingly except for the fact that all my new downloaded album art from iTunes 7 isn't transfering over. It's weird because occasionally some album art shows up on the iPod but definately not often and even when it does not all of the art I have on my PC shows up. Anybody dealing with this problem or have a solution?
iPod 5th Gen 30 GB   Windows XP

I was having issues before. The easiest way to get the album art to transfer over is to delete everything on the iPod, make sure everything has art that you want to in itunes, and then retransfer all the music back to the ipod. Sometimes when it updates songs, it doesn't update all the information.

  • Zen Vision M problem, album art is not showing

I am embedding the album art into the ID3v2 tags, as i assumed that it would show up when browsing my albums. But the art is not showing up and i have no idea why.
I had another problem which seems that my Zen is reading ID3v tags, a lot of my music was not being recognised, even with v2 tags, and was only recognised when i filled in the v tags also. Does anyone have suggestions as to whats going on here? It is a Zen Vision M 30gb, with the latest firmware, and i use Tag & Rename to edit tags and add the art, Im also on Vista if that changes anything.
Thanks in advance.Message Edited by Ninjabachelor on 0-28-20070:20 PM

    Hi Boxy !
For now, you can't zoom in the Album Art, but it can be a new feature on a future firmware. To hack it somehow, you have to mess around the system folder which is inaccessible...

  • Zen Vision: M Album Art prob

    Hi all...
I recently did a fresh install of Windows MCE and had to reinstall all my Creative stuff. I used the CD-Rom to reinstall (still mad about the MP3 conversion removal from the new version of mediasource). Since reinstalling everything, I cannot drag jpg's into the Zen Media Explorer to put on the Album Art.
It worked before I reinstalled. Now when I drag a picture onto the "musical note" icon, the hard dri've on the Zen Vision has activity (the docked icon spins) but the picture doesn't appear.
The album art I added before is all still there, but I can't change or replace it. Every time I drag, the hard dri've spins and everything, but the picture just doesn't show up.
I haven't installed Windows Media Player either.
    Any ideas?

I have found precisely the same problem.Re-installed windows last week, and ever since I have been unable to transfer album art. I used to do this by naming album art jpeg as "folder" and dragging album folder directly into Vision:M media explorer. I have also tried to dragging art onto the album art placeholder on "album" view - as described in creative knowledge base solution 879 - and this does not work. The only way I have found to transfer the album art is by syncing through media player . I should point out that I was using media player 0 before my re-install - but surely this cannot be the reason can it's The album art which I had transferred previously to my player is still fine. Is there any solution to this It's only a small problem, but it's really starting to bug me Thanks

  • Zen Vision : M - Album Art not displaying and other probl

    Hi,
I bought a Zen Vision : M from Hong Kong last week and of course the first thing I did when I got home was install all the software that came with it and started uploading songs.
The player is great and I love it but there are just two annoying little things.
    Two problems I encountered.
. I uploaded the album art using the Media Explorer by clicking and draging the JPEG into the explorer as instructed, sometimes the album art shows on the player and for some albums, it just won't show on the player, however it shows correctly on the explorer. Has anybody else experienced the same thing?
Is there going to be a new firmware to fix that?
    2. Sometimes after closing all the Creative applications and explorers, it still does not release the player. It still saids that it is docked. I have to either shut down the computer or manually pull the USB cable out which is something I don't want to do if it is still transferring information between the player and the PC... In the next firmware, there should be an option to undock the player.
Also the website claims to have all these accesories such as the docking station and leather case for the player but I cannot find any online store that has it!?! I have searched the Europe online stores and Asia online shops yet I cannot find it. Where would I be able to find it's As I am always afraid that the connector that comes with the player will break as it feels quite fragile.

The undocking issue are you sure the arrows are still moving. I made that mistake when I first got the vision M. I thought it was still updating.
The arrows stay still when you can remove the Vision M and kinda rotate, actually move when you are tranferring songs.
    Looks similar.
As for the album art ill try that today and get back to you.

  • ZEN VISION:M What happened to the Album art???/What do you use to transf

I've had my zen vision m since last summer and absolutely love it. Recently though I reformatted and added my entire library with the zen vision m media explorer like I always do. I have always tagged my music with musicmatch jukebox so that the album art shows up on my zen. This time however there is no album art. What's going on, is it the new firmware?
How do the rest of you add your tracks? There's at least fi've different ways I've discovered to do it, but in the past the media explorer was always the best.

    Hi,
I think you're in fullscreen mode. Press F11 to turn it off/on.

  • Zen Not Displaying ANY Album Art via

Hello, I love my 8gb Zen and always use WMP to sync songs. Everything was fine untill a few weeks ago. I formatted my player via WMP then tried adding songs to it and none of them had album art after that WHY? So frustarting. I'v tried many times and still no art. When I use the Zen sync (offical creative software) it gives art but many mistakes and repeat album arts. Not good. I don't want to add individual album art via a program since it would take forever.
any help is greatly apprciated ?

This also happened to me. Though I did a sync over the weekend, to remove a few albums and add a couple of new ones, and some of the old albums were updated and they have album art but not all. I'm guessing it's something to do with WMP but I'm not sure, as long as the music plays fine I can li've without album art.

  • Zen MX Album Art

    Hi
My wife has just bought a 6Gb Zen MX, I've had a standard 8Gb Zen for over a year and haven't had any problems. To put some music on the MX we copied my music library onto her pc, got Windows Media Player to recognise the directories and then synched with the MX.
The music has loaded fine, but virtually all of the albums are missing the album art. The only ones that have album art are those that I've manually updated in media player because the image that it found automatically was wrong.
I've upgraded the MX to the latest firmware and re-synched - no difference.
It's also refusing to synch the playlists from WMP, it says that they've synched but there're not visible on the MX.
    Any ideas?

? An update on the album art....
There are definitely some differences between the Zen and the Zen MX....
Windows media player as standard stores the album art on the folder (directory) that contains the album tracks. The old Zen was quite happy with this arrangement.
If in media player, you update the album art by copying and pasting an image (say from a well known on-line retailer of music etc) it not only updates the image on the folder but it also adds the image to each track within the folder as MP3 tag info. The Zen MX needs this to display album art.
I spent a fun evening deleting all the albums from the Zen MX (can't find a way to get it to format). Updating every album in the music library with new album art and then re-synching. I think there are 4 albums out of about 50 that it's not displaying album art for which is close enough for me....
Playlists next - might just give up and do them manually on the [email protected]

  • Zen V Plus - Album Art Dimensi

Does anybody know the size (i.e width and height in pixels) at which album art is displayed (the large version) on a Zen V Plus? I know it'll scale as appropriate, but if you could match the size exactly it'd give a better quality image with no scaling. It looks a bit less than full screen, so I'm guessing maybe something like 00 x 00?Thanks?Stompa?

I haven't yet figured out how to add my own artwork, like you can with iTunes.
I will assume this part has not changed from WMP to WMP2. Find picture you would like to use right -click on the pic choose copy go to the "cover" for the album you want to use the picture on right-click & choose "Paste Albumart" & it should use the new picture as the albumart cover.

  • ZEN 16 GB Album Art Question/Problem

I've noticed that any albums with the same name will get assigned the same album art...
I have several albums that are "Greatest Hits" from several different artists, all albums get whatever album art was pasted last...
I know I could fix this by change the Album name to "Greatest Hits - <Artist Name>", but I should have to, shouldn't the ZEN know that these are different albums?

I have had the same problem with my new Zen 6gb player.
If you name the albums like this-
    Greatest Hits
    Greatest Hits2
    Greatest Hits3? etc:-
the Zen treats them as different albums and displays artwork correctly.
Same applies to albums called Best Of, Very Best Of,Ultimate Collection etc:-
    Hope you get the idea.
It's a pain remembering to edit file tags before loading on the Zen but I haven't found
any other way around this problem to date.

  • Creative Zen 16GB Album art Probl

When I had finished my uploading my MP3 it started to say : Updating Player Please wait. It was a slow and in the end where it reached 50% I took it out. Seemed fine. But some album songs have been placed with album art which does not belong to them. Any way of fixing this other than removing all the songs and starting again? Or is this a firmware problem?

apparently the new zen only reads album art with resolutions less than 200 x 200 (read this on this forum and is correct with my player (new creative zen 8gb). i have the same issue but followed someone elses advice (also off here) to use free software 'album cover art downloader' and use it to write the art to the tracks (and in settings make it less than 200 x 200).
Used zen media explorer to trf to my player and have full album art. hope this hel
    ps.

  • New ZEN 4gb - ALBUM A

Hey all, sorry about if I missed this post while searching. But I've been longing to see beautiful album art with my new ZEN player but my embedded ID3 information doesn't seem to show up while playing. Now I was fiddling around with ZMXplr without noticing features or results to solve my album art craving. Please S.O.S creative mods/kind people.

for shame found this on other board quicker.

  • New Zen V Plus and album a

Does anyone know, whether or not Creatve's new Zen V Plus player displays the album art while playing a song? If not then Creative can keep it as far as I'm concerned.

    JK23 wrote:
I don't quite understand Creative's strategy in releasing a gig Zen V, and especially a gig Zen V plus. If it was up to me I would have the Zen V and V plus available in 2, 4, or 6 gigs. The one gig capacity is covered by Nano Plus. Perhaps a more interesting idea would have been to release a 2 gig Nano Plus, and release the V and V Plus in 4 gigs, 6 gigs and 8 gigs capacities. Will Creative soon release a flash memory based mp3 player with at least 2 gigs of storage that uses a AAA battery?
They're supposed to be slimming down their MP3 player product line I think, so I wouldn't expect them to release yet another player. I definitely don't like your idea, some people want a V or V Plus in a lower capacity than 4 GB, if they didn't have lower capacities people might turn to other companies with a similar player in lower capacity (and thus, a lower price).Message Edited by HHS on 06-25-2006 :0 AM
