Newb - creating a zone

I have a movie track called "wedding" I'd like to put on the main menu.
When I drag a video track to the menu it asks me to "create button and track".
I don't want a button. My main menu screen contains graphics. I'd like the user to click on an AREA of the menu screen and then it would invoke the "wedding" movie.
Is there any way of setting up these "areas" or "zones" on the screen where I can click and have it invoke the movie?
Thanks,,

"Invoking a movie" happens when you activate a "button"... where you're getting confused is in the terminology. The default button created by DVDSP if you drag a video track into the Menu and choose "Create Button and Track" is a small video of the track! There are also provisions for changing the size and lettering the "button."
Drag the track in, create the button, then go read the DVDSP manual for how to resize and letter (if desired) the button. It's a bit harder than chewing gum while walking, but only a little bit.

    Now the problem is deleting the directory psql-zone under my home directory which was created during the orientation of the zone. I have tried using rm and rmdir with all options like r,f,p and s. Can you Pl let me know how to delete this directory.

  • Creating a Zone with ufs?

    Hi all,
    When you create a zone though Ops Center does it try and format the file system as ZFS? Can you make a Zone with a UFS?
    Thanks,
    Shawn

    Hi Shawn,
    Ops Center can manage existing "brownfield" zones on other filesystems (i.e. UFS)... but any new ones that you have it create will be on ZFS (see here: http://wikis.sun.com/display/EM11gOC1/Creating+Zones)

  • Do we need to create two zones for Two HBA for a host connected with SAN ?

    Hi,While creating Zone , Do we need to create two zones for Two HBA for a host connected with SAN ? Or a zone is enough for
    a host which having Two HBAs...We have two 9124s for our SAN fabric...
    As I found like one zone  below, I little bit confused that , if a host having two HBA connected with SAN, should I expect two zones for every Host?
    from the zone set, I gave the command show zoneset
    zone name SQLSVR-X-NNN_CX4 vsan 1
        pwwn 50:06:NN:NN:NN:NN:NN:NN
        pwwn 50:06:NN:NN:NN:NN:NN:NN
              pwwn 10:00:NN:NN:NN:NN:NN:NN
    But I found only one zone for the server's HBA2:by the same time in the fabric I found switches A & B showing the WWNs of those HBAs on its
    connected N port...Its not only for this server alone, but for all hosts..Can you help me to clarify on this please..that should we need to create one zone for
    one HBA?

    if u have two independent fabrics between hosts and storage, i think the below confs are recommended.
    Scenario 1:  2 HBAs single port each ( redundancy across HBA / Storage port )
    HBA1 - port 0 ---------> Fabric A ----------> Storage port ( FAx/CLx )
    HBA2 - port 0 ---------> Fabirc B ----------> Storage port ( FAy/CLy )
    Scenario 2: 2 HBAs of dual port each
    HBA1 - port 0 -------> Fabric A ---------> Storage port ( FAx/CLx )
    HBA2 - port0 ---------> Fabric A ---------> Storage port ( FAs/CLs )
    HBA1 - port 1 --------> Fabric A --------> Storage port ( FAy/CLy )
    HBA2 - port 1 ---------> Fabric B --------> Storage port ( FAt/CLt )
    the zone which is in your output is VSAN 1. if its a production VSAN, Cisco doesn't recomends to use VSAN 1 ( default vsan ) for production.

  • Java Exception when creating NG zone

    Hi,
    Im running OC Update 2 on a Sun T3 (Solaris 10 U9).
    When attempting to create NG ZOnes from a CDOM I receive the following message after htting <next> to Native, Whole root zone screen:
    Java.lang.reflect.UndeclaredThrowableException
    After hitting ok I can view the next screen but am unable to see the metadata LUN or any other info.
    This is strange as it only occurs from certain CDOM's while I can happily create NG zones from other CDOM's on the same EC/PC.
    Any input would be gratefully received.
    Thanks.

    Thanks Mike,
    I had already looked at edelivery but am only able to find the downloads below and cant find the U3 download anywhere.
    Not sure why, perhaps its permissions on my account??

  • NEWBIE - creating a simple JSP login page

    Hi guys,
    I am really really stuck, and I would be so grateful if you guys could help me in any way. I am creating a simple application, but as part of the application i have to create a login / logout sub-application. It needs to verify the username and password by looking up a database in mySQL. I've had a look around on the internet to see if there is any simple way of doing it, but i can't understand most of it. I'm really new to JSP and only know how to do simple statement like <c:choose> and stuff like that. If anyone can help me in any way to create as simple a login / logout application that verifies the username and password from a database, I would be ever so grateful, thank you!
    Just to let you know, the security-roles and all that stuff together with the <tomcat-users> stuff has already been set up.
    I found this code by the author brain.compression, which seems to very useful, I've not tried it out yet, but was wondering, if somebody could help me split the code up into the separate JSP pages i will need, as I am not too sure which bits of the code need to go on what pages.
    Thank you to anyone that can help me out and thanks for brain.compression for providing this code. I'm sorry for posting this in a forum not related to JSP, its just that I am a complete newbie to JSP and nobody in that forum is helping me.
    brain.compression's code starts here...
    First for the page you are requesting you would need a verify if the user is logged in or not:
    <c:if test="${existingUser==null}">
    <jsp:forward page="login.jsp">
    <jsp:param name="origURL" value="${pageContext.request.requestURL}"/>
    <jsp:param name="errorMsg" value="Please log in first" />
    </jsp:forward>
    </c:if>
    This will redirect you to the login page:
    <font color="red">
    ${fn:escapeXml(param.errorMsg)}
    </p>
    </font>
    <form method="post" action="authenticate.jsp">
    <table>
    <tr>
    <td>Please Enter the following information to log in:</td>
    </tr>
    </table>
    <table>
    <tr>
    <td>User ID:</td>
    <td><input name="userid" value="${fn:escapeXml(cookie.userid.value)}"></td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td>Password:</td>
    <td><input type="password" name="password" value="${fn:escapeXml(cookie.password.value)}"></td>
    </tr>
    </table>
    After that you have to verify with your DB if the login info provided is correct:
    %-- Removing any scoped variables --%>
    <c:remove var="existingUser" />
    <c:if test ="${empty param.userid || empty param.password}" >
    <c:redirect url="login.jsp">
    <c:param name="errorMsg" value="Please enter a User Id and Password." />
    </c:redirect>
    </c:if>
    <%-- Checking if User Id and Password are valid --%>
    <sql:query var="anyvariable" dataSource="${data}">
    SELECT * FROM table WHERE user_id = ? AND pass = ?
    <sql:param value="${param.userid}"/>
    <sql:param value="${param.password}"/>
    </sql:query>
    <c:if test="${anyvariable.rowCount == 0}">
    <c:redirect url="login.jsp">
    <c:param name="errorMsg" value="Invalid User Id or Password"/>
    </c:redirect>
    </c:if>
    Also can somebody tell me if i am right. Do I need to create a page called login.jsp to put the actual form on, and a page called authenticate.jsp to verify the username and password are correct? Finally i see that brain.compression has used a variable called existingUser but has he actually declared it anywhere. Thanks again for anybody that can help me out!

    i am still a jsp noobie but i have done some applications using html javascript php asp and other languages. What you want to do is take the data from the login form then compare that to the db see if it actually exist and has the correct info. From there you want to write a cookie to the users computer to hold the username and password, which will be checked for at the begining of every page verifying it in the database. This is how i have done password verification in the past and it works fairly well and unless your server gets hacked your pages should be secure.

  • A question from a newbie:create user failed.

    Hi,there.
    I am a newbie on oracle database,and now I meet a question.It is said in the book that you can use:
    create user username
    identified by password;
    to create a user.But when I test:
    create user test1
    identified by test1;
    the system returns:
    ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
    How does this happen?

    And then I can't do any practices on this chapter.
    Edited by: 944775 on 2012-7-5 下午11:42Why not? If you are doing "practices on this chapter", I would assume you have your own database to practice on. If that is the case, you - own - the database. You cana be sysdba and grant whatever privileges you want.
    And if this isn't your own practice database, why not? See http://edstevensdba.wordpress.com/category/opinion/

  • Apple Newbie : Creating consistent material with Pages, Keynote, Web page

    Hi All,
    I am a recovering XP user with iLife and iWork developing materials for my business. I would like to project a uniform image from printed materials, to Keynote presentations, to web-site.
    I do not want to go down the wrong path - can someone experienced suggest a jump-off point and strategy?

    Well, the first point would be to consider what you mean by consistent.
    Is it color, is it fonts, is it shapes. Never underestimate the usefulness of having one shape that is used throughout your various projects. I focus on the corners of the shapes, and develop complete systems around those.
    Once you have decided on those, most of the information cna be copied from one program to another. A masked image in Pages can be copied and pasted into iweb or keynote. Most shapes and their information and settings can be copied from one to another.
    Your best bet for working around with this concept is to take a Pages template and see how hard it is to make a consistent Keynote theme and a consistent iWeb theme. Try something that looks complicated but is relatively simple. Do so with the Extreme Newsletter template in Pages and see what is necessary to carry the same 'flavor' from Pages to Keynote to iWeb.
    Have fun,
    Gerry.

  • Can't create DNS zones in Server Admin

    Hi All,
    So, I've run into this strange problem where when configuring the zone files for the DNS server in Server Admin that clicking on the + button doesn't do anything. I've re-installed Tiger Server including reformating the disk and still nothing.
    Can anyone tell me where the zone file is kept. It might be better just to make my own unless anyone can tell me why the + button isn't working.
    Thanks much!

    Definitely better to make your own, if you know how (lots of good google-able docs on this). Using Server Admin for DNS zone files is dicey at best.
    BIND config file is located at '/etc/named.conf'
    Zone files live in '/var/named/.' Primary zone files are named 'myDomain.com.zone' and secondary files are named 'myDomain.com.bak'
    Feel free to email me if you need some default files.

  • Opscenter 12c creating new zones on x86 server failing

    Asking for some help!!!,
    We are in the process of implementing Oracle Cloud Control 12c and of course Opscenter is a piece of it. When using Opscenter to install new zones on Sparc platform all works as expected. When using Opscenter to install new zones on a x86 server the process fails with not much information to go on. Without being too verbose with error messages we found the following in the /var/log/zones/zoneadm.323213129xxxx.ddasdhasdj.install file
    Running auto-install: '/usr/bin/auto-install -z ddasdhasdj -Z dsaas7990000000000000dasdasda7777/rpool/ -m /tmp/manifest.xml.dsada -c /var/mnt/virtlibs/312321312890/zone-config-profile.xml

    ===== Completed: /usr/lib/brand/solaris/pkgcreatezone this command is also followed by much of the same command-line qualifiers from above.
    I'll will say this, the auto-install failed message is actually coming from line 242 fo the pkgcreatezone script found in /usr/lib/brand/solaris
    Anyone with experience or knowledge in the area is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for the reply.
    As it happens, yesterday, one our guys was working on the machine and rebooted it removing the /system/volatile/install_log so I can't say at this point. I did take a look at the log earlier and can't remember what I saw. I'll have him do another install attempt and let you know what we see.

  • Two physical Ethernet ports: How to create the zone?

    Hi,
    we have a Solaris 9 system with 2 physical Ethernet ports let's say hme0 (10.10.0.1)
    and hme1 (192.168.0.1) which should be virtualized by a Solaris 9 container within our
    T5220 server under Solaris 10.
    The server interfaces e1000g0 and e1000g1 are configured as 192.168.0.100 respectively
    10.10.0.100. Now we want to create the "solaris9" with
    # zonecfg -z solaris9
    zonecfg:solaris9> add net
    zonecfg:solaris9:net> set address=192.168.0.1
    zonecfg:solaris9:net> set physical=e1000g0
    zonecfg:solaris9:net> set address=10.10.0.1
    zonecfg:solaris9:net> set physical=e1000g1
    zonecfg:solaris9:net> end
    Is this setup for the network correct?
    THX, Rainer

    Hi Rainer
    You are close! To add the second logical interface you add it as a separate 'net' resource. E.g.
    # zonecfg -z solaris9
    zonecfg:solaris9> add net
    zonecfg:solaris9:net> set address=192.168.0.1
    zonecfg:solaris9:net> set physical=e1000g0
    zonecfg:solaris9:net> end
    zonecfg:solaris9> add net
    zonecfg:solaris9:net> set address=10.10.0.1
    zonecfg:solaris9:net> set physical=e1000g1
    zonecfg:solaris9:net> end
    zonecfg:solaris9> exitHope this answers your question.

  • Newbie - Creating a data connection

    I imported a Adobe Acrobat pdf into Live Cycle Designer and created a data connection. I connected the fields in my XML sample document to the fields on the pdf but the data does not show in PDF Preview. Have I missed a step? I have used Acrobat 6.0 and 7.0 in the past but now am working on a project which needs Live Cycle Designer.

    In that case there is probably something wrong with you bindings on the fields. If you have the fields set to normal binding then the nodes in the data file need to be in the same hierarchy as the fields in the form are. If they are not the you need to explicitly bind fields to nodes in the data.
    The easiest way to see what you should use for explicit bindings would be to create a data connection to your xml data file, then drag a node from the data view onto the form and see what Designer puts in there for the binding.

  • Newbie: Creating a DataSource

    I'm trying to create a basic DataSource and am encountering a strange error.
    1) Right-click application component -> Create DataSource
    2) Give name, pick source system, pick type of "Master Data Attributes", hit OK.
    3) "Change DataSource" screen comes up
    4) Enter descriptions on "General Info." tab
    5) Switch to Extraction tab
    6) Enter table name.
    Then I hit the problems:
    A) If I click the popup button next to the table name and click execute I get the error:
    "Some table name(s)like: product are invalid
    Removed from selection ->Long Text"
    What does that mean?
    B) Can the system auto-populate the input-fields? I can't get this to happen.
    C) If I try to manually enter field definitions, I get a variety of strange errors (not worth posting)
    What else can I do at this point to move forward? I want to import the attributes data from my external database into SAP.

    Thank you Bhanu.
    Yes, I'm using an external MS SQL Server database that is running on a different server. I've setup the "Source System" entry and that seems to work.
    If I type "product", which is the correct table name, I get the error that I described. If I type gibberish, I get a different error. This signals that SAP is correctly talking to the source database.
    If I can create a dummy table with dummy data and get that to work, I can troubleshoot from there. But right now, I'm just stumped.
    Is there a log somewhere that I can look at or anything that I can do?

  • Newbie Creating A Massive Data Sheet - Help!!

    Hi everyone...
    I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, especially when it comes to data crunching.
    Here's the situation: I have about 40 locations. Each location has 5 - 10 agents that feed me leads. I need to keep track of: Monthly total # of leads, Monthly totals for each location, and monthly totals for each agent, along with monthly totals for each region (6 regions). I wouldn't mind throwing in some averages in there for good measure.
    My question is: what's the best way to set this up? A sheet for each location (with multiple tables) + a simple monthly total sheet? That seems a lot of sheets. Or one long massive table (Month as a column header and Location as a row total, and Location Agents as a "sub-row" (is that the term?). That seems too big to comprehend at a glance. Or something else entirely?
    I hope my question makes sense and I appreciate any ideas or advice.
    Many thanks!!

    HF,
    Lots of ways to do this, I'm sure. You must try to imagine what would work for you. The sub row idea is probably not feasible, as this implies a third dimension.
    I would suggest two things from my experience. First, I'd do one Sheet for each Location. The locations will then be listed in the Sheets Pane for easy selection. Name the Sheets according to your Location Names.
    My second suggestion is to think about the orientation of your individual tables. Remember that you can only sort the rows, not the columns. This causes me to like your idea of months across the table and Agents down the table, as you have indicated you might do.
    You haven't said if you would like to use this document to record individual leads. If so I'd suggest an additional "lead" table for each agent in the proper Location sheet.
    Regards,
    Jerry
