Newbie -arranging new objects query in CS4

This will probably sound ridiculous, but I'm used to Illustrator 10, but newly graduated to CS4 Win( less than a week ago). This question has to do with where new objects are created in the layers list. In the past, I'd highlight a path in the layers list and then when I created a new path/object..the new one would be right above the path I highlighted. In CS4, this ability seems to be gone..every new path/object appears at the very top of the current layers list, beyond any groups or sublayers.
Is there a way to change this behavior so that I can choose where in the layers list I want the new object/path to be? It's very annoying to have to drag or key command a path to the desired place. I did find a workaround for it with isolation mode, but I'd prefer not to have to use that as toggling is also a nuisance ( granted.. I guess I can waste a macro on it?).
Hopefully someone knows what control panel I need to find to change this, it's probably under my nose... <:)

Nah, I'm not talking about copying or pasting or arranging existing objects at all. All I'm saying is that NEW marks/objects/paths ( not copied ones) are always created at the top of the current layer, which is not always where I want it. For instance, say I want my next mark to be in layer 2, sublayer 1, group 3, above path 25... As in your video I'd hightlight this location -path 25, and then draw my mark....annnd it doesn't seem to appear in this part of the list and it's covering up something I didn't mean it to. After scrolling up through the list I find the new mark has happily asserted itself at the very top of the layer2 list, far above sublayer1, group 3 , path 25. What I wanted was it to become the new path 25, just above path 25 ( which would now be 26) in group 3, sublayer1, in layer2.
I know I can then do as you demonstrate and move the new path to the desired location, I remember these commands from Ill 10 and used them quite often to do tones above flat colors. I just thought it'd be cool to draw in the tones with the blob brush instead of copy, paste in front of the flat shape and then hack away at it with cut, eraser ( which sadly in my illy 10 did not work) or reshape with anchors.
It just perplexed me is that being able to have new objects create exactly where I want them in the first place would seem a unreasonable expectation. *shrug*

not present in the default list so how we can add these new object in

IN delivery document (vl03n) in menu bar in "extras" document
option is not there than how we will see the attached document, do we
have to create this option with help of abaper or this option will
automatically reflect after all the cofiguration?

Hi Abhilash,
You need to gofor z-development for this. The Abap'r will add the new required object in object link field. Also the DMS screen will appear in the required t-code.
Meantime you need to add this object in SPRO , "maintain key fields".

Dynamic Variables and New-Object - in a GUI

so, i have not found anything that i can parlay into a solution for what i am attempting to do.
Basically i am using powershell to build a GUI to manage websites on various servers.
in a nutshell:
- i have an array with the servers i want to query
- a foreach loop gets me the site names for each server (number of sites can vary on a server).
- need put checkboxes on a GUI for every site to do something (25-30 sites across 8 servers).
currently i am passing the $dir.name variable to a function that will create the new variable using this command:
$pName = $dir.name New-variable -name $pName -value (New-Object System.Windows.Forms.CheckBox)
$pName.Location -value (New-Object System.Drawing.Size(10,$i))
$pName.Size -value (New-Object System.Drawing.Size(100,20))

Problem is i am not able to do anything with my newly created variable. I am trying to use the following code to position the new checkbox but i get nothing (same for text, size, etc.) I am not seeing any errors, so i don't know what i have going
wrong.
is this even possible?
I am able to create static checkboxes, and i can create dynamic variables. But i can't mix the two...

Here is how we normally use listboxes to handle form situations like this one. The listboxes can automatically select subgroups.
The hash of arrays can be loaded very easily with a script or the results of the first list can be used to lookup and set the contents of the second.
Notice how little code is actually used. This is all of the setup code needed aside from the from definition:

Spot Channels & Smart Objects in Photoshop CS4

Please Help!
I am trying to replace a smart object in Photoshop CS4 with a .psd, pdf or tiff image that contains a spot channel and it is not being honored in Photoshop
The Channel tab does not honor the "Spot Channel" from the replaced Smart Object image.
Question is: How can I replace a Smart Object and hold the spot channel?

I don't believe spot channels transfer from smart objects but there is a workaround.
1. Select Smart Object Layer. Layer: Smart Objects: New Smart Object Via Copy
2. Open the new smart object
3. Load spot channel as a selection.
4. Layer: New Fill Layer: Solid color.
5. Hide or delete all other layers.
6. Save and return to parent document
7. Load the smart object layer as a selection and hide the layer
8. Invert selection, save selection
9. Change the new alpha to the appropriate spot color channel
Let me know if that doesn't work.

Business object query panel

can u guide me how to create query in business object query panel in crystal reports
using two table in universes.

If you already have the universe exported to server then create new connection in crystal and select universe and connect to server and select the universe from server. Once you select the universe it popsup query panel, here you can drag what all the fields that you want to display in crystal and also you can add filters in the query panel. Once you create the query add that query to crystal and run the report.

"Arrange new window" (thumbnail window for digital painting) does not update

Hi,
I have an issue with Photoshop CC V2014.2.1 release where if I open a new document, then create a duplicate window of that document (Window->Arrange->New window for "Document.psd") if I am working on the original window, the duplicate window does not update any brush strokes until I select the duplicate window or perform an undo command.
On previous versions (CS4 & CS5) the 2nd window would update each brush stroke automatically.
I have looked for options to auto-update the 2nd window, but can't find anything. Is this a bug or am I missing an option?

New business query

Hi,
I have created a copy of Activity_Query BDoc and added one parameter and amended the where clause. Then I ran gnrwb / xml dump, BDox sych in MAS and created a new Business Query based on the new BDoc above. After that I generated the object and used it in the coding for a query. Unfortunately it does not work. When I call the method newbusinessquery("Z_ACTQuery") the query object remains on nothing.
When I test the Query in MAS I don't see a SLQ statement and I get the response "Query is empty".
Has anybody an advise?

But does Toplink support Object Query Language (OQL)

Naming new objects

I'm a newb to Java (and programming in general) and I was wondering if anyone could help.
What I need to make is a bank program that can have an unlimited amount of accounts added to it. Each account is supposed to be an object. The problem i'm having is how to do the unlimited part. I'm creating the objects using the following
BankAccounts account1 = new BankAccount();
But what I need is too be able to change "account1" to "account2" and so on for each new object created. any help?

Instead of changing the name of each object you can add a parameter as account name in the class BankAccount() and every time you create a new object set the name attribute different for that object which can be the loop number...

Issue with View object query

Hi,
I have extended my controller to add an additional condition to the view object query where I appen an add condition.If there is any kind of exception the add condition keeps on appending without refreshing the query to the orginal one.I have to clear the cache to be able to fix it
below is the peice of code.What should I do to be able to get the original query or refresh it because when i do a getQuery it keeps giving me the query with the earlier condition that I appended and again appends the new condition.

Y don't u make a custom VO, as you are doing set query, i expect ur changing entire query of seeded VO, better to use custom VO here and attach it to required beans progrmatically.

of any existing object, then what should we enter in the Program field for creating the object?

Hi Saket,
Following will be required for created a custom business object.
1. Object Type - ZTEST (Internal Techincal Key)
2. Object Name - ZTESTNAME (Technical Key Name)
3. Name - TEST (Name of BO, it is used while selecting the object type)
4. Description - (Short Description of BO)
5. Program - ZTESTPROGRAM (ABAP program in which the methods of the object type are implemented)
6. Application - A or B.. etc (Area to which your BO is related)
Please remember that you can learn these basic things by giving F1 help on those fields and in HELP.SAP.COM.

Hmm... I didn't think we had quite released this version yet. It's possible that that website went live before the link to the new download. There should be a blog entry about this on the "Power BI" blog in the very near future.
At the risk of providing a spoiler :), the CRM Online support is via OData.

When you create a new object you have to supply the class to which that
object belongs. A class can extend from another class. If it does so
explicitly you can define the 'parent' class from which the class extends.
If you don't explicitly mention anything, the class will implicitly extend
from the absolute base class named 'Object'.
Your example is a bit convoluted: when you create a Derived object,
its constructor creates another object, i.e. an object from the class from
which the Derived class extends.
Extending from a class and creating an object don't have much in common.

Creating a new object at runtime

What I want to do is dynamically change the name of a object
everytime I create a new one, what I mean excatly is like make it
so that I can some how increment a value of a variable and apply it
to an object anme... so I get something like this
objectName0, objectName1, objectName2, objectName3 and so on.
I basically want to make it so that I always have a new object to
use... how would I go about doing this?

You don't need exec, the api provides this functionality for you. Look at the java.util.jar package.
