Newbie help with Muvo TX FM load

Hello,
Question is using the software that came with mp3 (Creativemedia) once I drag a file from my computer stored music into the other box it automatically starts loading it into the player. What I would like to be able to do is arrange all my artists in order or by song types, but once I move them over they load. Anyway to make your list up and then transfer? Anyway to add a song somewhere up the list later after you have your player somewhat full. Ex.

I'm not quite sure I understand the problem, but the MuVo sorts alphanumerically by filename.
If you want to keep tracks separate from each other then simply create folders and store the tracks in those.

Please Help with MuVo!!

Hi. New to the forum as i need some help with new MuVo. Installed CD, did everything in the correct order but when i plug in MuVo, computer says has found hardware but when i open Media Player or Media Source it says no device is detected. Can anyone shed any light?

Have managed to fix. I can now see the dri've and everything is working sweet!!!! Just downloaded the new firmware from Creative and installed it. Computer was coming up up with messages and i have no iedea what i pressed but it worked.
Now have very happy fiance who can play with his Christmas present. Only trouble now is that i have to show him how to download music!!!!!

Help With MuVo V2

To anyone who can spare 5 minutes to read this and give me feedback, I will be very greatful for your help =)
I switched off my mp3 player (it's a MuVo V200) to the radio mode. When I switched it on I wanted to return it to the music mode, and it automatically switches off.
At first I thought it was the battery- i have bought batteries of 2 different brands and both have not worked.
Has anyone faced the same problem? How did you fix it's

That was frustrating me also, could not find my device, but as you suggested, I changed the country to germany and guessed my way through selecting device, etc. Muvo V200 is what I have. I downloaded and executed the mstorage file, and the folder ends up at the programs folder... creative... mstorage and I do see in there the two .inf files and the one log file says everything installed correctly . However I am running windows 98 and for the life of me, I point the wizard directly to the mstorage folder and it still says it cannot find the driver. I also downloaded both the Muvo V200 installation program and the other program to organize the music and transfer, etc,. both of them requires the device to be connecte and detected in order to finalize installation, so I am like the chicken and the egg going in circles... I thought the Installation program would take care of everything but it just hangs up on detecting the device which of course it will never detect because I cannot get the device to install... you see how I am going in circles... This was a promotion from SBC when I ordered dsl and dish, so I am not too worried since I did not pay for it, but it came without the installatin disc, we are supposed to download everything from the site... I am frustrated... anything you can help with will be greatly appreciated... I have two USB ports, I have tried both they are 2.0 by the way.. I also have 2 extra USP ports from the keyboard those don't work either, even though they work fine for my digital camera and my webcam...,,, now I am rambling... Please help

Newbie: help with join in a select query

Hi: I need some help with creating a select statement.
I have two tables t1 (fields: id, time, cost, t2id) and t2 (fields: id, time, cost). t2id from t1 is the primary key in t2. I want a single select statement to list all time and cost from both t1 and t2. I think I need to use join but can't seem to figure it out even after going through some tutorials.

Need help with muvo qu

Hello, I have a Muvo N200 and am having some trouble with it. I have looked around here for awhile and nothing has helped me!
My songs are making a buzzing sound after they are uploaded..thhey will work fine, then make a random buzzing throughout the song. I have tried to download the firmware but i cannot get my player in recovery mode. Could some one please help me with this soon. Thanks

Newbie Help with Restoring SPA504G config file

I know just enough to be dangerous, but not enough to be completely effective. Any help is much appreciated.
I have a standalone SPA504G for which I have customized the configuration. Frequently, several times a day, the phone resets and returns to the default configuration, erasing all my efforts. As a result, I have two intertwined problems:
1 -- is there a way to prevent the resets? I am tethered to RingCentral for my VOIP service, if that is relevant.
2 -- if I cannot prevent the resets, how do I restore my configuration? I have reviewed this helpful post and have downloaded the spacfg.xml file. I have also installed Solarwinds TFTP Server for use in restoring the config file. My problem is that I am completely unfamiliar with TFTP and have been unable to locate instructions as to how to upload, download and restore the spacfg.xml file. Step-by-step "TFTP for Dummies" instructions would be greatly appreciated.

is your phone provisioned? if Ring Central is provisioning it, they may be overwriting your changes.
you can check by going into the provisioning tab on the phone web gui.
click admin login --> advanced --> voice -->provisioning
look for profile rule. if it has anything but SPA$psn.cfg it is probably provisioned. (especially if it says something like http://provisioning.ringcentral.com )
the profile rule will download a new config file from the server every "resynch periodic" time (3600 sec by default), then if it is different from the current config it will implement and reboot.
So to prevent this, remove the profile rule or set resynch periodic to 0.
or have ringcentral put your changes into the provisioning file.
Most providers have a web 'dashboard' to make changes to the phones they manage.
2 - to reload a config using tftp
set up your tftp, put the file in the tftp root, and set the windows firewall to allow incoming connections to the app (solarwinds, tftpd32, etc), or port 69 UDP
then in the gui of the phone use the resync url to load the config to the phone.

Note, if your config is in the tftproot, you should not need the / part.

Newbie Help with videocameras and editing software

I am a third grade teacher who can whip around in imovie pretty well, but I want to expand and post training videos to the web. I also want to vodcast. I need a relatively easy videocamera, and of course, reasonably priced. I don't understand all the mumbo jumbo about the dvd, tape, flash videocameras except to know that some are not compatible with osx.
Also would I be better off with Final Cut Pro Express?

It's very intimidating at first. The short answer is that all this is compatible with iMovie.
The longer one is:
The number refers to frames per second (frame rate, in the jargon). Cine cameras run at 24 frames per second, so 24 fps is considered to give a look to moving objects similar to what you'd see in a filmed movie (think wagon wheels appearing to go backwards in old westerns).
p refers to progressive, and means that you're getting 24 complete frames each second - again like film (this idea of mimicking film is the holy grail to some video makers - I say video is video, and should be treated like video). The opposite of progressive is i, for interlaced. Interlacing is a technique used in television since the early days as a way of giving you a better looking TV picture; in interlacing, instead of looking at each frame as a whole, you split it into very narrow lines, then scan al the odd ones, followed by all the even ones. In the old days, the scanning had to be linked to the way in which the electricity supply worked, so scanning was based on a frequency of 60 cycles per second (in the USA).
So in video, you will see camcorders offering a frame rate of 60i as standard - i.e. 60 interlaced frames in one second.. They usually also offer 30p (which combines the results of 2 60i scans to give you 30 complete frames. And then as you've seen, 24p so you can make it look like film.
You can shoot good movies in any of those frame rates; which ones you choose are up to you, but they're all used by many people for many different purposes. Some people will tell you you must use frame rate x for subject y. Listen, but don't follow blindly - try it out and see what works for you.
The issue you will sometimes here debated about iMovie is how to take video you have shot interlaced, and get iMovie to export it as progressive, but still in high quality. Don't worry about that right now.
Just get a camcorder you like, and make some movies. First feel really proud of them, then learn some more, and feel embarrassed by them (this is what we all do!).

Newbie help with 12i and firefox java issue

We are in the testing stages for a 12i upgrade. I’m currently testing browser and java version compatibility using an upgraded test system. My problem is the version of java on the desktop client. IE7 will launch the apps fine with any version of java. However, any version of Firefox (including just released v3) will not launch java unless java version 5 update 13 is loaded. I’ve reviewed several metalink docs including 389422.1 and 393931.1 and have used the workaround listed forcing FF to use the older version of java. However, that means that we will have to roll out this older version of java to all clients to use Firefox. During my research I found where Oracle provides a techstack update for 11i (290807.1) that will fix this issue and allow Firefox to work with newer versions of java. Has anyone else run into this issue and if so how did you address it? Is there a 12i update that will fix this issue? I’m a newbie that’s started supporting Oracle, etc. so forgive me for any ignorance I show on the subject. Thanks in advance.

It sounds like your Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 instance is configured to request end-users to use JRE 1.5.0_13.
Firefox has a known limitation (or feature, depending on your point of view): it will invoke only the specified JRE version requested by the E-Business Suite, even if later versions of the JRE (e.g. 1.6.0_03) are installed on the same desktop.
This behaviour is explained in more detail in Note 290807.1 in Appendix A. Since this behaviour is hardcoded into Firefox, your options are:
1. Configure your Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 environment to request a later version of JRE installed on your Firefox-equipped desktops
2. Use IE -- it doesn't enforce static versioning.
3. Contact the Mozilla team and request that they provide a new option to use either static versioning (the status quo) or the latest JRE version installed on the desktop.

Newbie, help with .AVI files!

I am trying to put .AVI files on my imovie hd, but when they eventually load there is nothing there but blackness. I am trying to get these files on imovie hd so that i can make my own dvd. I really dont know what i might need to do. Do I convert the avis to something? If so, what program would be used?

ffmpeg is a very mighty conversion tool (besides the pro $$$ tools as Compressor), but as you experienced, no that convenient; indeed you hav eto install manually all that libraries, on ffmpegs webiste that is all discrbed in detail.. I can't guide you, I'm using an older version and it was a painstaking process of trial&error... ;-))
BUT...
you haven't told us, what codec is INSIDE the avi... avi is, as .mov, just a media container, containing many flavors of compression codecs, from sorenson, to mp4, from pic to divx....
you haven't told where these avis come from (... or you don't dare to tell us ), but there's a high chance, that it contains just plain mpeg1/2....
in that case, there's some other, much more convenient tool on the market,
have a look here for Streamclip, it accepts .avi containers too....
it's free, for mpeg1 it works "as is"; I would give that a try, before juggling with encoders... ;-)))
you would help us with diagnosis&therapy, when telling us where these avis come from...

Help with MuVo TX

Can someone please help me with a problem downloading music. I have 77 mp3 format songs I want to loadi onto my player but only 63 are loaded. During the process I get a message that says "File of same name already exists" it give me the options to skip the file, skip all duplicates, replace the file, or replace all duplicates. I choose to either one and the songs don't load. If I go back in to reload the songs @ a time it may take it or I may have to do it a couple of times. Either way, it knocks other songs off and I still end up with 63. My mp3 is formatted, in fact I have re-done it several times and gone through the process several times now. I have room on the dri've because I can load other type files on it. With all 63 songs I only use 276 MB.

Are they download songs or are they part of a subscription service? Only download songs work on Creative's flash players.
Also protected wmas need to be transferred using WMP, MediaSource or Media Explorer - you can't drag'n' drop them in Windows Explorer. This is mentioned in the manual - well it is for the N200, V200, Nano Plus etc.
