  • How do you delete apps that you no longer want on your ipad COMPLETELY?

My memory on my ipad is low.. and when you take a look at the apps in the store from recent ones i tried out.. they are still there.. how do you get rid of them ?
i literally have 4 apps on my ipad. with only 5 songs 30 pictures ... why is the memory so bogged down?? ive seen many peoples devices and they have way more stuff than i do.. someone helppp??

You cannot delete/remove apps from your App Store purchases. They will remain there forever but they are not necessarly still on the device. You can hide your past purchases but need to do so using iTunes.
    See: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4919
As was mentioned, just because they are showing in your purchases, it does not mean that they are on the device. If you have deleted them from the device and are no longer on the device, they are not using any of your device's storage. You'l' have to look elsewhere to see what is taking up the space you are missing.
Check Settings>General>Usage, then tap on Show all Apps to get an idea of what is physically on the device (Apps, Music, Photos, Videos, etc.)

  • Noob question here . how do you delete apps?

I long press, it lights up, then throw into "Remove". After I do that, I check if its deleted and it still shows up. Any help is appreciated.

That just deletes the app from your homescreen.  You need to either a) open the app drawer and go into Settings->Applications->Manage Applications, select the app you want to remove and hit uninstall or b) go into the market, hit the menu button, choose downloads, find your application and hit uninstall

  • Once you've upgraded to IOS 7 how do you delete apps?

Now that I've upgraded to IOS 7 on my IPad, I am unsure of how to delete any apps. You used to be able to touch & hold down the App until it wiggled, then delete it by clicking on the "X" that appeared. This doesn't appear to be the case anymore.

You'll find it is still the case, but the small x just isn't as distinguished as before... Also, you may be attempting to delete an app such as a pre apple installed one (like iMessage, FaceTime, notes, calendar, etc.)  that cannot be removed unless your device is jailbroken - which is not permitted anyway.

  • How do you delete apps completely from iPad and I phone?

I have downloaded games but have deleted them. Or thought I did, but holding the icon down then hitting the X when it popped up but I still keep getting charged for renewal to certain games. Did I delete it wrong or is it an iTunes error?

Did you follow this article to turn off auto-renewing your subscriptions?
    To turn off auto-renewal:
From your Manage App Subscription page, choose an app subscription.
Tap the subscription category for which you want to disable auto-renewal.
Tap On to toggle the switch to Off.
You'll receive a confirmation message; tap Turn Off to confirm your choice.

  • How do you delete apps in the sync list?

When I sync my computer and phone there is a list of apps that I no longer use.  I don't need them there and I definitely don't want them there.  Some of the apps are ones I downloaded one time and will never download again.  Any way to get rid of them?

    Shirley,
Go to itunes, go to upper left hand corner and hit A, then hit my apps. Right click or control/click and hit delete. Done!
    Good Luck.

  • How do you delete apps in the cloud storage

I have apps which are stored in the cloud but cant get in to cloud to delete them can anyone help me thanks.

If you mean you want to delete them from your purchased list, you can't.  They aren't stored in your iCloud account, they are stored in the App store (which is called "iTunes in the Cloud").

  • There is a problem in updating iphoto and iMovie, read a response here from a certain Dahveed if I'm not wrong to try this, however I'm a first time mac user, how do you delete this ... /Mac HD/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/adoption.plist

There is a problem in updating iphoto and iMovie, read a response here from a certain Dahveed if I'm not wrong to try this, however I'm a first time mac user, how do you delete this ... /Mac HD/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/adoption.plist

It says 'To update this application, sign in to the account you used to purchase it.'
However I only have one account. I've tried to sign out and in several times. But it doesn't work. I do remember changing my password recently. Secondly I'd like to add that I got this macbook air 3 days ago. I'm a first time mac user. It had three updates initially. Mountain lion 10.8.2, iphoto and the imovie. I updated the mountain lion, thinking I'd get the iphoto and imovie done later. However now this problem has come up. Thanks for responding. Hoping to hear from you soon again regarding this.

    You cannot.
The entire point of this is that you can redownload any and all of your past purchases.

  • Just got new macbook pro, how do you hook up 2nd monitor?

Just got new MacBook Pro, How do you adapt to 2nd monitor?

You will need a Mini DisplayPort (Thunderbolt) cable and an adaptor for the type of connection your monitor requires. You will find the adaptors at Apple's online website.

  • How can I delete apps in iTunes and have that sync to my iPhone and iPad?

How can I delete apps in iTunes and have that sync to my iPhone and iPad? I don't want to delete 3 separate times for each item. I just carefully chose 30-35 apps to get rid of via iTunes, hoping it would sync to my devices, only to find I have to repeat the process on my iPad, take notes, then repeat it on my iPhone. It wasn't always so tedious was it?
Here's the "Help" I got from Apple. They even quoted my question back to me then proceeded to answer with something very different and completely missing the point.
I understand that you would like to delete the Apps. I know how eager you are to get the required information and I will be happy to assist you.
You can remove individual songs, audiobooks, and videos from your iPod, iPhone, or iPad. Removing an item from your device doesn't delete it from your iTunes library.
To remove items from a device other than an iPod shuffle, first make sure that iTunes is set up to manually manage items.
    1. Connect your iPod, iPhone, or iPad to your computer.
    2. When the iPod, iPhone, or iPad icon appears in iTunes, select it.
    3. Unless your device is an iPod shuffle, click the Summary tab and make sure "Manually manage music and videos" or "Manually manage music" is selected.
    4. If the disclosure triangle to the left of your iPod, iPhone, or iPad (below Devices) is closed, click the triangle so that you can see the device's contents.
    5. Select the item you want to delete and press the Delete key.
This was not helpful in any way and I am still unable to delete apps on my devices in a global, iTunes based way. Each device still requires its own independent process.

Match was off.  I made all of the changes and then went through the "Turn on iTunes Match" option.  I now have deleted some tracks, edited the Metadata in CDDA, and then added it back.  This worked fine, but it is not a good solution.
I just tried making some edits and use the "Update iTunes Match" and that seemed to work.  It looks like the real answer is that Match must be up and operational, then you can make changes and run the Update to incorporate the changes.  However, if Match has a problem then Signing Out and back in to your store account and going through the process of Turning On Match (were you get the questions, "Add this Computer to Match" will overwrite any changes.
Since this relies on the stability of iTunes, I won't be making a lot of changes between updates.

  • HT4528 How do you delete 'SAVED MESSAGES' on iPhone 5s

How do you delete 'SAVED MESSAGES' on iPhone 5s?  It's taking up about 10GB of 32 GB capacity.

After much searching on the web and reading many (sometimes amusing) posts on this topic here is what I have found.
In Settings>General>Usage my saved mesages were using 3.2Gb and no apparently immediate way of deleting them.
However as the good book says "seek and ye shall find".
SO this is where I went:
Settings>iCloud>Account> then scroll down to ADVANCED and select Mail; again scroll down to the bottom and select Advanced and yet again scroll to the bottom (well at least to DELETED MESSAGES) and tap on the line called Remove.
Here at last you will find a setting that enables you to select the period after which iOS will remove your deleted messages.
The shortest period is one day so you will haev to wait 24 hours to finally have that memory back but it should work and is a nice feature in iOS although it is well burried!!
