Newbie,Photo load to PC on 2760

New to whole cell thing,freebie 2760 issued has camera.Is there simple way(patch cord etc)to transfer photos to PC?From the owners guide I get impression I would have to aquire bluetooth etc,etc.

While it states on GSMarena that your phone does have USB I cannot find any datacable for it on Ebay.
I would therefor say the best option is to use Bluetooth to transfer the images to your computer.

They won't show in iTunes (iTunes is only used to copy photos to a device, not copy them off), but you should be able to copy them off either manually via My Computer (the iPad should show as a camera) or via windows camera wizard or windows live photo gallery depending upon your OS version.

Show device and media in Photo-loader, Iphoto, Preview

I'm new to the " mac World" and I can say I'm very excited about my new imac with snow leopard on it !
Have however one small problem (??)
Fact is that, if I connect either a digital Camera, a Camcorder or just a SD card using the external card reader, it takes a long time (approx. a minute and a half) before Iphoto, or photo-loader or preview show the connected device. (In photo-loader it takes another minute before the media is shown)
The device shows on the desktop instantly after connection, problem is only in photo-loader, Preview and/or iphoto.
Resolution etc doesn't effect the time, tried it already with lower picture resolution. It seems to be the recognition of the devices thats very slow.
Is this normal behavior or is there something wrong ?
Anyone experience the same ??

Hi Franz & welcome to the forums.

All I can tell you is that the common denominator with those sources is apparently USB, which is typically the slowest bus on your computer.
Not sure what you can do except to try to use at least USB2 devices. All it takes is one older USB 1 type device on the bus to slow things down. How old is your digital camera? Card reader? Camcorder? USB camcorders are usually quite slow for file transfers, in my experience.
For me, the delay seems minimal. I can however, imagine it taking as long as you quote if the number of images is considerable, in which case your example would seem typical.

When i scroll through my photos in my library (in loop mode) why don't the photos load properly and the photos still blurred?

LR may not have rendered the necessary previews yet.
Did you render only minimal previews in your import settings?
How big have you specified your standard previews in your preferences? It should match the screen you are mostly using for image viewing.
Then you can invoke the command to let LR render standard previews from the Library. LR will first scan how many previews it already has, then actually create the missing ones.

I don't see photos in My Photo Stream on my iOS device.
Ensure that the Camera app is closed on the device that took the photo. Photos will not upload from an iOS device to My Photo Stream until the Camera app is closed.
Ensure that your iOS device has not fallen below 20% battery power. To preserve battery life, Photo Stream downloading and uploading are disabled when the battery reaches this threshold. Downloading and uploading will resume once you charge your device and the battery charge is greater than 20%.

Photo browser doesn't show new photos loaded in iPhoto today

I tried to find some photos in photo browser to attach to an email. The photos were in an iPhoto event I added today, but they didn't appear in that event via the photo browser in iMail.
For background, I used a new SDHD card in my Nikon D80 and found my card reader didn't support the HD function of the card (I have loaded photos from this camera using the same card reader with an SD - not HD though- card for a year with no problem). Instead of using the card reader, I loaded the photos using a USB cable from my camera to my iMac, just as I had always done previously with the card reader. That is the only difference in loading today's photos from any other photos loaded previously
So, I don't know why the photo browser didn't see the new photos and don't understand how loading them directly from the camera versus from a card reader should make a difference. Any ideas about the failure to find the photos via the photo browser even though they are there in the event in iPhoto. Please help!

Unfortunately, it did not. I had tried that several times, and today when I rebooted I thought it might be resolved. I also checked the number of pics in iPhoto and Photo Browser, and the numbers do not match (more pics in iPhoto than Photo Browser by the number I added to iPhoto yesterday).
I also checked for any software updates, but didn't find any. I am current with all the Apple software updates that I get prompted to download.
Any more suggestions greatly appreciated.

Photo Loader 1.1E Compatibility with OS X l

Just purchased a new Casio EXILM 7.2 megapixel camera and the Photo Loader software only runs on Mac OS 9 not the Mac OS X. Should I download the Mac OS 9 or does anyone have other solutions??

Every camera maker makes choices on what standards they will support. For example the RAW Image format will differ from camera maker to camera maker, and sometimes even from model to model. Mac OS X has been available for about 8 years since around 1999/2000. If the application is still OS 9 only, it hasn't been updated during that time.
Mac OS X updates often add support for RAW formats, and occasionally seperate updates are released for RAW support, for example.
Have you installed all of the available updates for your computer?
If you are shooting in RAW, have you tried shooting in JPEG?
Some cameras require they be set to a specific setting to download photos. For example, P2P mode. Some models require the camera be connected before powering on to put them into transfer mode.
USB hubs can interfere with photo transfers as well.

The only possible answer anyone can give is... becuase something is wrong. You're not giving us any information to work with.
If you want help you’ll need to give us more information. There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 8 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

I found a sequence that has worked for me a couple of times, first with a managed library and also with a referenced library. Once you see in the Activity window that nothing is progressing, select the root Folder Import and hit Pause Task. This should pause everything. Now, go and try to Quit Aperture. This will send you a warning that you are Importing, etc. and give you either Quit or Continue. Select Continue.
Go back to the Activity window and select the root Folder Import and hit Run Task. It should be working again.

I recently loaded a USB stick with various photos from iPhoto & these do not appear when attempted to be opened in My Documents on a Windows computer. Is there any way of fixing this issue?

Check the formatting of the USB stick. You have probably formatted the stick for Mac with a file system MacOS Extended (Journaled). This file system cannot be read by a Windows computer. Save the photos to different drive and format the USB stick using Disk Utility to a file system both computers can read, MS-DOS should work.
Disk Utility is located in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder.

HT201317 Can I access my photos loaded onto my iPad 2 from a Canon Powershot on my iMac running 10.6.8?

I recently took approximately 300 pictures with a Canon Powershot camera during a 2 week vacation. During this time frame I put the photos onto my iPad 2 via an adapter and deleted them from my camera's memory card. Upon return my camera and iPad 2 were stolen. Fortunately I had Photo Stream on and the photos were stored in the cloud. I have since replaced the iPad 2 with the latest iPad and have the photos. I am now attempting to load them onto my iMac and am not able to do it. I am assuming because I have a 7-year old iMac running version 10.6.8 of Snow Leopard I will be able to access and properly store my photos. I am correct?

Save the photos to the camera roll on the iPad, then connect it to your computer with a USB cable. You can import the photos using iPhoto if you have it or image capture if you don't.

Photos loaded from XML

i found a great tutorial on how to create a photo gallery
that loads the content from an xml file. right now, the code cycles
through the pictures, and when it reaches the end it stops. also,
when you first launch the gallery (at the beginning/first picture),
the previous button does nothing. i would like to alter this to
create a loop, where there is no end. when you reach the end of the
array, the "next" button starts back at the beginning, and when
you're at the first picture in the gallery, the "previous" button
goes to the last picture. here's the code....

Why won't photos load in Apple TV 2?

All of a sudden, my Apple TV 2 can no longer load my photos via Home Sharing. It brings up the "Loading Library" and then it tells me to Turn on Home Sharing in iTunes! ***? It's already on!! Music, Videos, and TV Shows all load and stream properly. The only problem is with the Photos (and it used to work last week)!
Could it be there are too many photos or folders being shared? I've heard a limit of 20,000 pics, but I have half that. I do have over 70 folders (due to Apple's non-support of sub-folders). I have turned Home Sharing off/on in both iTunes and Apple TV. I have done the close/re-open iTunes thing. I have reset the Apple TV.
What is going on?

Thanks! Deleting the iPod Cache Folder within the iPhoto folder worked for me. This was after bashing my head against the wall for 45 minutes trying to figure out why AppleTV suddenly wouldn't recognize my photo library this morning.
Oh, and make sure to go BACK to iTunes: Advanced: Choose Photos To Share... to restore the connection between the devices. WHY one would have to go back to iTUNES to enable an iPHOTO share is beyond me. Remember when thing "just worked?" Yeah, me too. Good times.
