Newbie problem: elements pane is empty

Hi,
my Visual Composer (version 6 on EP 6, with patch 4) starts fine, I can also connect to the portal and I can see my R3 systems in the Data tab.
My <b>elements pane</b> is empty, though.
According to the tutorial, I should be able to go to "Model"/"add elements" and drag a module to my design view.
I can't, because of the above problem.
Any idea what the cause/solution could be?
Thanks
Lothar

Lothar,
Did you install MSXML and SVGView packages?
Installing MSXML4.0 package fixed my problem.

  • Problem with a thousend empty playlist in iTunes Match.

    I need a help to reset my itunes match because have a problem with a thousend empty playlist.

    Funny thing: I just reset the iPad 2 again and was careful to shut off iTunes Match. Almost immediately my iPhone 4s updated and showed no more duplicate "recent" playlists. A check of my Laptop also shows none. So now it's isolated to the iPad. Guess I'll leave Match shut off for a day or two.

  • PHP form field not displayed [was: Newbie problem.]

    Hello good people.
    I have a very basic question to ask.
    Here is my index.html

    And index.php
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

    if ($_POST["age"]=0 ) echo "Please specify your age."."<br /><br />";
    echo "<b>Message:</b><br />".$_POST["tekstas"];
    ?>
    </body>
    </html>
    The question is:
    Why the Age part of php is not working properly? If I leave it black or type zero in the Age <input>, PHP just ignores the "Please specify your age" part of code.

    You're relatively new to this forum. Welcome.
    Please take a moment to read How to get help quickly. Using a subject line like "Newbie problem" is meaningless, and is likely to get ignored at busy times. Always try to use a descriptive subject line.
    The answer to your problem is very simple. It's a common beginner's mistake that even catches out more experienced people from time to time. It's in this line:
    if ($_POST["age"]=0 ) echo "Please specify your age."."<br /><br />";
    You have used only one equals sign, which assigns the value to a variable, so it always equates to TRUE.
    To compare two values, you must use two equals signs like this:
    if ($_POST["age"] == 0 ) echo "Please specify your age."."<br /><br />";
    There are other things that could be done to improve your code, but that solves the basic problem.

  • Problem: Value in Inputfield empty

    Hello,
    I use the htmlb:tableView and defined one column as editable where a dropdown-list is assigned (by iterator).
    In the "OnInputProcessing" I read the new selected value of the edit-column and write this value to my internal table.
    Here the Coding of this:
    Get Data for tv_cols, the current edited row, and update table
    DATA: tab_view TYPE REF TO CL_HTMLB_TABLEVIEW.
    DATA: tab_data TYPE REF TO CL_HTMLB_EVENT_TABLEVIEW.
    DATA value TYPE STRING.
    DATA: inputfield TYPE REF TO CL_HTMLB_INPUTFIELD.
    FIELD-SYMBOLS: <row> TYPE ZSEM_0APPR_REQU_1.
    tab_view ?= CL_HTMLB_MANAGER=>GET_DATA(
                            request      = runtime->server->request
                            name         = 'tableView'
                            id           = 'tab_APPR_REQU_status' ).
    get changes into internal table
    get changes into internal table
    IF NOT tab_view IS INITIAL.
      tab_data = tab_view->data.
      IF NOT last_selected_rowIndex IS INITIAL.
        READ TABLE gtab_APPR_REQU_1
           INDEX last_selected_rowIndex
           ASSIGNING <row>.
        value = tab_data->GET_CELL_ID(
                      row_index    = last_selected_rowIndex
                      column_index = '3' ).
        inputfield ?= CL_HTMLB_MANAGER=>GET_DATA(
                            request      = request
                            name         = 'inputField'
                            id           = value ).
        IF inputField->value is not initial.
            <row>-STATUSIQMS = inputField->value.
        ENDIF.
      ENDIF.
      last_selected_rowIndex = tab_data->SelectedRowIndex.
    ENDIF.
    Now my problem:
    If I select a new line in the tableView the value of the line selected before is in the variable "inputField->value" and everything is working fine.
    But if I had selected a line and changed the editable column and then push an save-button on the BSP-Site the variable "inputField->value" is empty. Though the "inputfield" itself was assigned correct.
    What's going wrong here? How can I get the new value of last changed line?
    Thanks in advance
    Christian

    Whenever you select a new line the OnInputProcessing fires and you can read the value and store it then when the screen is rendered again the value is there and they are now on the new line to edit.
    When you build the element into your table it is assigned the [tablename]_[cell]_[row] and if you know those items then you can do a simple get_form_field call.
    Then you have the value and you can do a table UPDATE to save the value.

  • Newbie: Problem populating DataGrid from CF created xml

    Hi,
    I'm new to Flex and I'm working my way through the chapter 'Using HTTPService components' so I can populate a DataGrid from CF created xml.
    The Document on Live docs works only partially for me - ColdFusion section under (http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/3/html/help.html?content=data_access_2.html#195458).
    The insert part works and I'm able to write to the database without a problem, but the DataGrid is not being populated and stays empty? I'm working locally, so there shouldn't be any cross-domain issue?
    Hope someone is able to point into the right direction.
    Thanks.

    Use the debugger and see if any data is received from the server on request ( I'm assuming that somewhere, you are making a request to the server that should read some data ). If data is received then you are not populating the DataGrid correctly ( most likely you are not giving the correct path to the elements that should appear in the DataGrid ); else, the server-side script is not reading any data and you should check why.

  • Newbie problem with upgrade to CS5 and editing in Design view

    I'm a newbie working on my first website. I built the site in CS3. I have 3 template pages, each containg editable regions, and numerous pages created from each template. I had no problem working with the pages in CS3- I could edit the content in either Code or Design view.
    I have now upgraded to CS5. The other change is I had to move the site to another machine, as CS5 does not support my older generation Mac. The problem I am having:
    If I open the index.html template or the page based on it, everything works fine. I can edit in both Code and Design views. When I open any page based on my other two templates, I can edit in Code view, but when I try to type in the editable areas on the page in Design View, I simply see a "circle with a slash in it" icon indicating I can't type anything. If I Preview the pages, the existing content is visible, all links work etc.
    Being a newbie, editing in Design view is easiest(and probably safest). It seems like this should not be happening in any case? I am too inexperienced to know where to start. I have seen some posts regarding similar issues, but nothing exactly the same. I am really hoping it is just some silly mistake I am making...Any ideas would be much appreciated.
    Mac OS X ver 10.5.8
    Thanks,
    Maura

    I'm sorry, I'm afraid I haven't gotten to the uploading part yet:(
    I'll just copy the code from one of the pages that is not editable. Let me know if this is not what you need.

    margin: 0; /* zeroing the margin of the last element in the #header div will avoid margin collapse - an unexplainable space between divs. If the div has a border around it, this is not necessary as that also avoids the margin collapse */
    padding: 10px 0; /* using padding instead of margin will allow you to keep the element away from the edges of the div */
    /* Tips for sidebar1:
    1. Since we are working in relative units, it's best not to use padding on the sidebar. It will be added to the overall width for standards compliant browsers creating an unknown actual width.
    2. Since em units are used for the sidebar value, be aware that its width will vary with different default text sizes.
    3. Space between the side of the div and the elements within it can be created by placing a left and right margin on those elements as seen in the ".twoColHybLtHdr #sidebar1 p" rule.
    .twoColHybLtHdr #sidebar1 {
    float: left;
    width: 12em; /* since this element is floated, a width must be given */
    background: #EBEBEB; /* the background color will be displayed for the length of the content in the column, but no further */
    padding: 15px 0;
    .twoColHybLtHdr #sidebar1 h3, .twoColHybLtHdr #sidebar1 p {
    margin-left: 10px; /* the left and right margin should be given to every element that will be placed in the side columns */
    margin-right: 10px;
    /* Tips for mainContent:
    1. The space between the mainContent and sidebar1 is created with the left margin on the mainContent div.  No matter how much content the sidebar1 div contains, the column space will remain. You can remove this left margin if you want the #mainContent div's text to fill the #sidebar1 space when the content in #sidebar1 ends.
    2. Be aware it is possible to cause float drop (the dropping of the non-floated mainContent area below the sidebar) if an element wider than it can contain is placed within the mainContent div. WIth a hybrid layout (percentage-based overall width with em-based sidebar), it may not be possible to calculate the exact width available. If the user's text size is larger than average, you will have a wider sidebar div and thus, less room in the mainContent div. You should be aware of this limitation - especially if the client is adding content with Contribute.
    3. In the Internet Explorer Conditional Comment below, the zoom property is used to give the mainContent "hasLayout." This may help avoid several IE-specific bugs.
    .twoColHybLtHdr #mainContent {
    border-left-color: #666666;
    border-left-style: solid;
    border-left-width: thin;
    padding-left: 1em;
    margin-top: 0;
    margin-right: 20px;
    margin-bottom: 0;
    margin-left: 12em;
    .twoColHybLtHdr #footer {
    padding: 0 10px; /* this padding matches the left alignment of the elements in the divs that appear above it. */
    background:#DDDDDD;
    .twoColHybLtHdr #footer p {
    margin: 0; /* zeroing the margins of the first element in the footer will avoid the possibility of margin collapse - a space between divs */
    padding: 10px 0; /* padding on this element will create space, just as the the margin would have, without the margin collapse issue */
    /* Miscellaneous classes for reuse */
    .fltrt { /* this class can be used to float an element right in your page. The floated element must precede the element it should be next to on the page. */

  • Nikon D7000 problem - Elements 5.0

    Hello all
    I've been having some problems that just started recently - I am able to open and edit my photos from my Nikon D7000 just fine in Elements 5.0, but when I come to save them it gives me the famous mystical 'cannot save due to a program error' message. I tried going into the Appdata folder and renaming the settings and all that but I still have had no luck - Elements will let me edit photos from other sources, but not off my D7000. Anyone have any idea what to do? I'm coming up empty on this one.
    Thanks
    Brian

    Hi Brian
    Make sure PSE5 is up to date e.g. that you have installed the 5.0.2 patch.

  • Precomp of Element 3D appears empty on main comp in After Effects

    I am trying to precompose an Element 3D layer (along with cameras and custom layers) so that I can use its Zdepth with other plugins on the main comp (Particular and Optical Flares).
    The problem is, while I see everything properly on the created comp, the main comp shows this precomp as empty (100% transparency on 100% opacity)! I also tried Collapse Transformations (every possible combination) but had no luck.  Is that a bug?
    I'm using AE CC 2014 and Element 3D v1.6.
    Thanks in advance for the help!

    I may be misunderstanding your setup, but you can't precompose cameras to share Z depth between comps.
    If you want Particular and Optical Flares to react appropriately, you will either need to place those layers in the same comp as your Element layer, or use expressions to link cameras between both comps.
    If I've misunderstood, please post a more detailed description and/or screen grab of your timelines.

  • Problems with Pan and Zoom after video has been saved

    I have Adobe Premiere Elements 13 and I am running into a problem when I want to use pan and zoom.  I watched a video that said you needed to have the picture larger than the video frame so that you have room for panning and zooming.  The problem I am running into is after I create a video and play it back you can see all of the picture that sticks out past the video frame.  It doesn't show up when you are creating the movie.   Here is an example:
    I do have a video overlaying this photo.  It is the pinkish color that you see here in this picture.  It doesn't show any of the picture that extends beyond the sides, just on the top and bottom.
    I have tried having a different sized video frame. I have tried saving it as several different formats and this happens every time.  Any suggestions on how to fix this?  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks!

    No, I am not concerned about the playback buttons. Maybe this pic will explain it better.
    From my project. You can see that the picture is larger than the viewable area so that there is room for the pan to occur.

  • Design problem(split pane scrollpane Insets)

    hi,
    doing a exam simulator prgm
    design is like,
    Question (text area with scrollpane)
    Answers (checkbox inside panel with scrollpane)
    used split pane between qst and ans but big thick bar comes how to reduce size and it is not
    moving.
    used GridLayout for container and panel.
    PROBLEM is how to leave space qst textarea appears from very left edge of screen how to leave some space
    same prblm for checkbox they to appear extreme left on screen.

    Put those components in a JPanel overwriting the getInsets() method like this:
    JPanel cPane=new JPanel(){
        private final Insets _insets=new Insets(10,10,10,10);
        public Insets getInsets(){
            return _insets;
    };...should do the trick, take a look at the Insets class if you need information on how defining it...

  • Jabber for Windows 10.6.1 Problem: Chat History sporadically empty

    Hi,
    we have Jabber for Windows 10.6.1 running on Win 7 64bit Machines. We have the Problem that sporadically the Chat History windows is empty. If this happens, I cannot see my incoming chats (but I can hear Audio that a IM just arrived) and I also cannot see IM Messages I sent out. Also no Screencaptures can be seen in the Chat-History. I also cannot rightclick into the Chat History window to print or save the Chat. Whenever I restart Jabber (not just logging off), it is working again for a couple of time!
    Please Cisco help me out. I cannot find a open Bug in the current Release Notes.
    Regards
    Rene

    Hello Scott,
    thanks for your answer! We don't have IE11 installed, so we don't have this MS Patch on our systems :-(
    I am going to look deeper into this,... maybe another MS Patch. Also have to contact TAC.
    Thanks.

  • Problem with searching for 'empty' emails with BAPI_BUPA_SEARCH

    Dear ABAP'ers.
    I have got a small problem with BAPI_BUPA_SEARCH.
    I Use this BAPI to search for Business Partners with the Email condition.
    I put rhe Email to lv_email variable, it works ok.
        lv_email = ' '
        CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_BUPA_SEARCH'
          EXPORTING
            email = lv_email
          TABLES
            searchresult = lt_searchresult   <= returns no BuPas
            return       = ls_bapiret2  .
    But I need to have a possibility to search for such Business Partners who have got no email address. Unfortunatellu when I pass an empty lv_email to BAPI, it returns no Business Partners whilst such BuPas exist in database.
    Is there some possibility to search for those BuPas who have got no email address assigned?
    I will be thankful for help.
    Regards,
    P.
