Newbie question - iweb into "iphoto" site?

I am just opening iweb for the first time on my new macbook. I really like some of the things that appear to be possible with it.
However, for a number of years now I have been keeping a collection of photos tracking the birth and growth of my son for the benefit of far away friends and relatives. I have built it though iPhoto and my .mac homepage space.
I have a beautiful new daughter for whom I want to do the same, but iPhoto no longer allows that. My question then is - can I post "iweb pages" into my exisiting .mac site without destroying all the other photos that I have collected and posted over the years.

Apnewbie is right.... your Homepages created with previous versions of iPhoto are indeed safe. They are not in any danger of being overwritten by iWeb, as far as we've all been led to believe so far. But iWeb is definitely the way of the future in terms of how Apple wants us to think of it...as you mention, the easy Homepage function is no longer available in iPhoto 6. Instead of Homepages, now Apple wants you to use iWeb to create your photo pages. You can do so using the iWeb icon in the bottom of the iPhoto window and selecting "Photo Page". This is the closest equivalent of the old Homepages function.
But iWeb is infinitely more functional and customizable than the old Homepages system. There is actually a "hidden" function for creating photo gallery pages easily, especially since it sounds like you already have your photos organized into albums in iPhoto. The process is detailed here in this .Mac blog entry...
http://www.mac.com/web/en/Tips/013C4180-4787-4847-BAAB-319222AFC652.html
iWeb has a little bit of a learning curve, but I think once you get the hang of using it, you will not miss the old Homepages function. Of course, if you run into any showstoppers, please don't hesitate to post your questions here in this forum....It's filled with lots of helpful people eager to lend you a hand.

  • Flash newbie questions about slow loading site

    Hi all. I am new to Flash and web-site building in general and I have been learning while doing. Its fun, but frustrating. I really need some help, hope someone out there with Flash experience can give me some advice.
    My problem is this: I built a Flash website, but it is painfully slow to load up (3-5 minutes via cable modem) when I visit the site (via Firefox, etc). Once it does load up, everything is fine with navigation. I'm having a hard time figuring out why its taking so long to load up on the web because, basically, I don't know how to trouble shoot. Hope you guys can help!
    Details: the site is just a portfolio site with pictures and a few motion-things, no complicated animations. The swf file is about 9MB. I do have a flash preloader, but it doesn't show up until after the 3-5 minute "load-up" time. When I do the testing via Flash, its Ok and doesn't show the lag. But once I upload the website files and try to visit my website, the load time problem occurs.
    My thoughts:
    - do I have to purge my Flash file/library of unused images before creating my swf file?
    - Is there a problem with my html code in my index file?
    - because it is a portfolio site, I've got about 90 images on it, each image about 300-400K.  Is this too big, or about right?
    Please help! Sorry for the long email, just desperate for help. Thanks in advance for any advise!!!! Just in case, here is the html code:

    Yeah I'm with Ned on this one. Dynamically loading your images is the way to go. The fact that you are new to Flash, try this tutorial (http://www.entheosweb.com/Flash/loading_external_images.asp). As you move along in learning Flash, look for tutorials on actionscript arrays and loading images dynamically. Arrays allow you to call each images from a folder outside your fla. That way your site moves right along without much loading time.
    Hope I was of help,

  • XML newbie question - xml into arrays

    I am pretty new xml and I am working with a file that has
    text
    associated with images in the file and I would like to move
    the text
    into a xml document.
    I heard that a good way to deal with xml is to load it into
    an array. I
    have my text set up in arrays already, so my whole file
    aready works in
    that way. So all I have to do is load my xml document into my
    arrays. I
    have the xml document loading fine, but I don't know how to
    get the info
    into my arrays.
    My xml document looks like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?>
    <index_content>
    <image no="1">
    <imgLink>"pages/collection.html"</imgLink>
    <title>"Title 01"</title>
    <text>"Text bla bla, bla 01, Text bla bla, bla
    01"</text>
    <corner>"unisex"</corner>
    </image>
    <image no="2">
    <imgLink>"pages/collection.html"</imgLink>
    <title>"Title 02"</title>
    <text>"Text bla bla, bla 02, Text bla bla, bla
    02"</text>
    <corner>"men’s & women’s"</corner>
    </image>
    <image no="3">
    <imgLink>"pages/collection.html"</imgLink>
    <title>"Title 03"</title>
    <text>"Text bla bla, bla 03, Text bla bla, bla
    03"</text>
    <corner>"men’s & women’s"</corner>
    </image>
    <image no="4">
    <imgLink>"pages/collection.html"</imgLink>
    <title>"Title 04"</title>
    <text>"Text bla bla, bla 04, Text bla bla, bla
    04"</text>
    <corner>"men’s & women’s"</corner>
    </image>
    </index_content>
    My arrays in Flash are:
    var imgLinkURLs:Array = [];
    var imgTitles:Array = [];
    var imgTexts:Array = [];
    var imgCornerLabel:Array = [];
    So I think i need for loops pushing for example imgLink from
    image no1
    into imgLinkURLs array, then push imgLink from image no2, and
    so forth.
    Then do the same for imgTitle and the other arrays...
    How would I do this the right way?

    you can do it in just one loop, going through all the image
    tags in index_content and for each tag fill the values of all four
    arrays
    for (i...) {
    get the appropriate child of index_content
    first_array[ i ] = value of first tag
    second_array[ i ] = value of second tag
    no need for multiple loops.
    flash has functionality for xml files, but it helps to write
    a little wrapper around it, to simplify programming, especially if
    you work with xml a lot.. I wrote my for work, so I can't show it
    to you, but it's not very complicated to do

  • Newbie imporing pictures into iweb

    Hi
    I'm trying to build a very basic website for my business as a placeholder until I have enough content to require a professional.
    I know that you have to click the "media" button, and then "picture" to import pics, but many of my pics are neither in aperture or iphoto.
    I can drag and drop some of the jpegs I have, but can I import an ".ai" file.
    Also, is there a way I can add another folder to this list, so I can scan my hard drive for what I need.
    Cheers
    Please feel free to rip on this newb, btw, I can handle it.

    That file is a vector graphic file and is not supported by iWeb. Save the file in a different format from the original application. If there's no option then do a Print to PDF/Save PDF to iPhoto which will create a jpg file and import it into iPhoto. From there you you can add it to iWeb via the Media browser pane.
    Yes you can add a folder to the Media browser list. Close the iPhoto icon so there's room below it and then drag the folder you want to just below it.

    Just define your site in DW as always.  For a static site, that's all you need to do.

  • Newbie Question: Importing (from PC) and Organizing Photos in iPhoto

    Hi everyone,
    I am currently a PC user and am contemplating buying an iMac, and I'm trying to determine if iPhoto will meet my needs for photo importing and organization.
    I currently have around 20-30 gigs of digital photos and am using Windows Photo Gallery (for Windows Vista) to view/organize/import them.
    The directories are organized by the photo date taken in the format "yyyy-mm-dd" .
    Some of these directories are appended with an event name if applicable, i.e. "2011-12-25_Christmas Party" while others will only have the date, i.e. "2011-12-20"
    My photos are named according to date/time taken so that a file listing will display the photos in chronologic order. Again, some of these will be appended with an event name or other descriptive label. So, many photos will look like this: "yyyy-mm-dd_hh-mm-ss" while others will look like this: "yyyy-mm-dd_hh-mm-ss_event name"
    A possible complicating factor in all of this is that some of the photos were taken with a camera where the time/date was not set properly, or with cameras whose date/times were set for a different time zone. I adjusted this within Windows Photo Gallery, but I am not sure if it permanently changed the date/time in the photo file's properties... I've seen some evidence that it may not have. I did make sure that the file name was named according to the correct date/time in every case, however.
    Now, here are my questions about using iPhoto:
    1) When I initially import my photos into iPhoto, will iPhoto recognize (or is there a way to make it recognize) each separate directory as a separate event based on the directory in which it is found?
    2) If I copy photos into iPhoto library, will it respect and preserve my directory structure wherein photos are separated by date taken? If not, then is it practical to still use iPhoto without copying the files into its library (by keeping them organized as subdirectories in a directory elsewhere and having iPhoto setup to automatically display photos in that directory)?
    3) If I use iPhoto to import pictures from a digital camera, can I control how it sorts those pictures into directories by making it name the directories in yyyy-mm-dd format? This is what Windows does and I find that format very convenient for organizing and viewing photo files, especially those that I have not yet tagged.
    4) Again, if I use iPhoto to import pictures from a digital camera, can I control the naming convention so that photos are named according to date&time taken (i.e. yyyy-mm-dd_hh-mm-ss ), or at least according to just date taken (i.e. yyyy-mm-dd) as well as appended with event names?
    5) Will I be able to edit photo properties, such as date taken, within iPhoto if I discover that a photo is incorrectly organized?
    Thanks in advance,
    JB

    Here's the thing: You've put a lot of time developing a system of managing files. iPhoto is all about Photos. So, frankly. forget your current system and use iPhoto. it has more powerful and more varied tools for managing your snaps.
    There's a conceptual leap to be made with apps like iPhoto. The illustration I use is as follows: In my iTunes Library I have a file called 'Let_it_Be_The_Beatles.mp3'. So what is that, exactly? It's not the song. The Beatles never wrote an mp3. They wrote a tune and lyrics. They recorded it and a copy of that recording is stored in the mp3 file. So the file is just a container for the recording. That container is designed in a specific way attuned to the characteristics and requirements of the data. Hence, mp3.
    Similarly, that Jpeg is not your photo, it's a container designed to hold that kind of data. iPhoto is all about the data and not about the container. So, regardless of where you choose to store the file, iPhoto will manage the photo, edit the photo, add metadata to the Photo but never touch the file. If you choose to export - unless you specifically choose to export the original - iPhoto will export the Photo into a new container - a new file containing the photo.
    All of your queries are about files and filenames and file storage. They're all pretty much moot if you use iPhoto. If you use iPhoto it becomes the "go-to" app for all your photos. Everything you need to do with the photos can be done via iPhoto or with iPhoto.
    When I initially import my photos into iPhoto, will iPhoto recognize (or is there a way to make it recognize) each separate directory as a separate event based on the directory in which it is found?
    Yes, but...  Events are organisation for those who can't really be bothered. They are automatic - based entirely on Date and Time the camera records the photos as taken. You can move photos between Events, you can Merge Events, you can Rename them and sort them in various ways except one: You cannot manually sort in an Event as Events are all automated.
    Albums are a much more varied and powerful organising tool.
    2) If I copy photos into iPhoto library, will it respect and preserve my directory structure wherein photos are separated by date taken?
    Well forget about "directories", you're talking Events, Album and Folders now. But yes, you can define Events (or Albums) based on date. However, given that iPhoto can sort on date, can search on date and date ranges and can generate Smart Albums based on date (say, All the Photos from 2010, only the photos from June 2010 or just the photos fron June 10, 2010, or even the photos from May 12 2009 to July 11 2010) how the fies are organised on the disk is of little concern. You never access them via the HD anyway.
    If not, then is it practical to still use iPhoto without copying the files into its library (by keeping them organized as subdirectories in a directory elsewhere and having iPhoto setup to automatically display photos in that directory)?
    Yes you can do this. It's called a Referenced Library. I don't recommend it - especially for a new Mac user - and it adds nothing except complexity to the process. It has no extra capability. It's just dumb file storage. For more on this:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3062728?tstart=0
    3) If I use iPhoto to import pictures from a digital camera, can I control how it sorts those pictures into directories by making it name the directories in yyyy-mm-dd format?
    No.
    This is what Windows does and I find that format very convenient for organizing and viewing photo files, especially those that I have not yet tagged.
    There are various tools in iPhoto that will allow you to find photos that you have not yet tagged or organised.
    Again, if I use iPhoto to import pictures from a digital camera, can I control the naming convention so that photos are named according to date&time taken (i.e. yyyy-mm-dd_hh-mm-ss ), or at least according to just date taken (i.e. yyyy-mm-dd) as well as appended with event names?
    You can add titles to photos, yes. But as the date and time of the photo are already in the Exif, using those in the name of the photo is a bit redundant.
    Will I be able to edit photo properties, such as date taken, within iPhoto if I discover that a photo is incorrectly organized?
    Yes.
    It's a bit to take in I know, and I always suggest to people that the best thing is to create a library on their Mac, import a couple of hndred pics and explore what it does (and doesn't), and see if it works for you.
    iPhoto uses a lot of virtualisation. Photos are stored in the Library. (Events are just one of two possible views of the Library). Albums reference photos in the Library. So a shot can be in any number of albums and use no extra disk space. Keywording is also very powerful. Here’s a stock answer I use for folks when wondering what iPhoto can do:
    I use Events simply as big buckets of Photos: Spring 08, July - Nov 06 are typical Events in my Library. I use keywords and Smart Albums extensively. I title the pics broadly.
    I keyword on a
    Who
    What
    Where basis (The When is in the photos's Exif metadata). I also rate the pics on a 1 - 5 star basis.
    Using this system I can find pretty much find any pic in my 40k library in a couple of seconds.
    So, for example, I have a batch of pics titled 'Seattle 08' and a  typical keywording might include: John, Anne, Landscape, mountain, trees, snow. With a rating included it's so very easy to find the best pics we took at Mount Rainier.
    File -> New Smart Album
    set it to 'All"
    title contains Seattle
    keyword is mountain
    keyword is snow
    rating is 5 stars
    Or, want a chronological album of John from birth to today?
    New Smart Album
    Keyword is John
    Set the View options to Sort By Date Ascending
    Want only the best pics?
    add Rating is greater than 4 stars
    The best thing about this system is that it's dynamic. If I add 50 more pics of John  to the Library tomorrow, as I keyword and rate them they are added to the Smart Album.
    In the end, organisation is about finding the pics. The point is to make locating that pic or batch of pics findable fast. This system works for me.
    Finally, all of this can be exported from iPhoto should you decide to migrate to a different app or different OS in a year or two.
    Regards

  • Question about import photos into iphoto/aperture

    I have my own folder of photos in my hard drive. If I want to import them into iphoto/aperture, will all the photos be dupilicated on my hard drive?
    If yes, this will use double of my hard drive space, it's not a good thing, right?

    There are a couple of ways to answer this.
    1. Yes... and no... and no
    By default iPhoto copies the files into the iPhoto Library when importing. This is called a Managed Library  If you work in the default setting then your "own folder of photos" is pointless and you can trash it.
    You can set iPhoto to simply reference the files - that is not copy them. However, I strongly urge you not to do this, especially if you're new to Mac and/or iPhoto. For more on this:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3062728?tstart=0
    In the case of Aperture there are less pitfalls running a Referenced Library. You can also run Managed Library with it.
    In any case, with either app, if you go the Managed route then the idea is to trash your own filing system. It becomes pointless.
    More importantly, if you use either iPhoto or Aperture then you never access the files in those folders anyway. Anything and everything you want or need to do via your Photos is done via the Manger - i.e. iPhoto or Aperture. These apps quite replace the Finder for the task.

  • Teachers sharing one dot mac with iWeb need help- sites are being lost

    Sorry to be lengthy- Here's the question and issue first and then the background.
    Question/Issue: Anyone know a way we can have multiple people (eventually 20 or so) with their own computers creating sites in iWeb and publishing them to a common dot mac account without wiping each other out?
    Background:I am a teacher and at our school we have a single dot mac account. A few of us have been using iWeb (2 on iWeb 08 and 1 on iWeb 06) and posting our sites to dot mac with no problems. The iWeb 06 sites went to a folder under Web> Sites>iWeb in our dot-mac's iDisk; the iWeb 08 sites were directly under the Web>Sites folder. When sites were uploaded from different computers there was no problem (they all had unique names) and it worked great until this week.Even the 2 users both on iWeb 08 could send their sites to the iDisk and nothing would be deleted, just more site folders were added.
    We are now all on iWeb 08 and so nothing goes into the folder on the dot-mac's iDisk under iWeb, they all go as unique sites- no problem I thought.
    Our problem is now that when any one of us update our sites, it wipes out everyone else's site (since their site isn't on our computer). It didn't used to be that way 2 weeks ago !!! Could this be something new with the migration to mobile me (if it is, this really ***** for us)
    I know a solution is to publish the sites to folders and then drag to the dot mac in sub-folders under Web>Sites instead of publish and each of us can have our own folder, but its a pain and not all of the teachers will be able to do this.
    I think there is a feature in iWeb06 called personal domains, but I think we can only have 2, so not sure if this will help.
    Does anyone know a way to set the defaults in the domain.sites2 file or in iWeb so it will use a sub-folder when loading up to dot mac? This way each of us can have our settings different and it will load for us automatically on the iDisk.
    Does anyone know why this used to work and now it doesn't?
    Any other ideas- Help Please

    From my own experience.
    When you publish to dotMac the index.html file in the root redirects to the top Site in the list of the iWeb domain file.
    I use ca. 40 Sites in some 30 domain files. And most are customized after publishing. Plus a lot more irregular stuff.
    iWeb remembers what Site in which domain was published last.
    When I choose a different domain file, iWeb will create a new index.html file to redirect to the "new" Site.
    As far as I could determine, none of the either published Sites are deleted. If iWeb did delete previous published Sites I would not change domain files.
    In your case the following will happen. Every student publishes his/her Site(s). The last one published will be the default Site.
    As long as no-one changes his/her Sitename or add a new Site at the top of the list, the default Site last published will be that.
    Make sure everybody's Sitename is unique.
    I use a custom index.html file in the root. So I have to pay attention that when I publish a new site, the custom index.html page is overwritten. I keep a copy of that index.html file in the root. I can replace the index.html file in case of emergency.
    Does anyone know a way to set the defaults in the domain.sites2 file or in iWeb so it will use a sub-folder when loading up to dot mac? This way each of us can have our settings different and it will load for us automatically on the iDisk.
    Don't look for hidden settings. If it was possible, it would be visible in the preferences. Accept the way iWeb/dotMac does its job. It wasn't designed to be used by multiple users with multiple computers and only one account. That should give you a hint.
    All other problems are purely organizational. Personally I wouldn't trust multiple persons on one account. Give them their own account. If they mess up things they are responsible. Or find another solution.

  • Is there a way to re-import a Journal into iPhoto?

    I created a Journal in iPhoto for iOS and published it to iCloud; but I am seriously running out of space on the iPad and would need to delete the Journal on the iPad. Thus I published it to iTunes, i.e. exported it through iTunes to my Mac and it appears there in a folder with the name of the journal. So far, so good.
    Now I would like to do some more editing of the Journal, but don't know how to "re-import" it into iPhoto (iOS) on the iPad.
    When I saved the files from iTunes to the Mac, they saved in a folder with the name of my Journal, but when I want to export them through iTunes back to the iPad, the export process does NOT accept the folder, but forces me to select individual files within this folder. Is this the right way (to choose all files in this folder), and will this work?  Or are there other apps (hopefully on the Mac) which allow to work on the iPad created Journal?
    Thanks for any ideas and advice. Cheers, from  Austria, Veit Burger

    Leonie,
    These are two very useful pointers, where and how on earth do you find these?
    I think I used both methods (iCloud and iTunes) for both the iPhone and the iPad-mini; but in neither method do I have a backup of the iPad of a timeslot that contained the correct Journal.   :-(((   (I also fear that exploring the TimeMachine backups of my iMac won't yield anything useful?!?)
    An earlier discussion, which I found, confirms your message above: once a Journal is deleted from your iOS device, it will ALSO be removed automatically from the iCloud server.  It's hard for me to accept this, or why this has to be so, but this seems to be the hard truth. The logical consequence of this seems to be: you can only create and PRESERVE Journals as long as they have space on your iOS device with which they were created. A puzzling, very puzzling, concept. If this is correct, it should explicitely be stated in the official Apple documents for iPhoto for iOS.   (With a somewhat equivalent app for OSX, the iWeb, I can publish as much as the WEBSITE holds, not limited by the space on my OSX device).   Truly puzzling.
    Thanks and kudos for all the help you provide in this Forum!

    The question is : can you delete a journal on the device while keeping it on the iCloud server.
    The answer is no.
    The only way to preseserve a journal is to save it to iTunes and then publish it on your own server.

  • Embed video into another site??

    I have just finished creating a website in iweb, and published it to a folder. I am clueless when it come to html or web coding. So my question is, is there any way I can get an embed code to post my video from my site into another site?

    The only way I've found to link to a movie file I've used in a site is to use the following URL:
    http://web.me.com/MMeAccount_Name/Site_Name/Media/movie_filename.mov
    That will link directly to the movie file.

  • Updting iweb/crashes/iphoto also crashed & lost photos/iweb & iphoto probs.

    Can someone please help me....... I updated my iwebsite this morning by adding a blog (only 5 blogs in total on site) and importing a photo from iphoto plus changing a couple of words on a photo page.
    I then published which was fine.
    I then went to do an additional change and publish.
    A grey screen came down on the screen followed by 'restart computer' panel in 3 languages.
    I restarted to find that iweb would not open and that all photos in iphoto had disappeared.
    I then spent over an hour on the 'phone with the applecare protection plan customer help - we rebooted, went into an alternate account and did various other things but I was told the photos were lost and that I should reinstall iweb.
    I noticed that the iphoto info still showed 602 mb (aperture shows 305 & this application is fine). Having gone through all my programmes I have now found all my photo files in Adobe Bridge.
    1.Can anyone advise how I can import these back into iphoto. (Fortunately most were backed up - just the last week's work wasn't and individual files for an exhibition)
    2. Can anyone advise what to do re iweb reinstallation and importing the saved iwebsite back in.
    Sorry this is longwinded - should have done this in the first place rather than go to the apple care centre which hasn't resolved issue.
    A big thank-you for any help or advice (I'm not a techy but can follow clear instructions!!)
    Cheers

    If you look in your Pictures folder you should find the iPhoto Library folder. Check inside for an Originals folder and confirm that it contains your full sized image files. If so then you'll have to start afresh with a new library and import your photos from the old library as follows:
    Creating a new library while preserving the rolls from the original.
    Move the existing library folder to the desktop.
    Launch iPhoto and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
    Drag the Originals folder from the desktop into the open iPhoto window.
    This will create a new library with the same rolls as the original library. However dates on the rolls may be different but can be edited as you would the roll title.
    Once this is completed you can delete the Originals folder from the desktop and the iPhoto Llibrary folder. If desired, you can keep the older library folder to try other fixes on it.
    In the future I recommend you make a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto file after each import and after doing a lot of editing and organizing in the library. Then if you experience a similar crash all you need to do is replace the damaged database file with the backup copy and you'll be back to the same place in the library as when you make the backup. See the tip at the end of my signature.
    As for iWeb, locate the User/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and look inside. Is there only one .sites file in there. If there is more than one Control-click on the largest and select the "Show Package Contents" option in the contextual menu. Check to see if the files used to build your site are there. If so move the other file out of the folder and make sure the file is named Domain.sites. Then try opening it with iWeb.
    To prevent iPhoto from this again check out this tip:
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • How can I save an image into iPhoto?

    My goal is to save some pictures from Facebook into iPhoto. I have an "event" or album or whatever in iPhoto that I want to add these pictures to. When I save the picture iPhoto is not an option; I tried to copy and paste, that didn't work. Any suggestions? Thanks!

    Some web sites it's possible to drag a copy of the picture off the site and drop it onto the Desktop area, thus making a file which can be Imported into iPhoto's Library.
    Some web sites the images are part of the background and thus can't be removed, but you can use
    Command Shift 4
    to draw a rectangle around the image and click, a screenshot will appear on the Desktop.

  • HELP Newbie with mac and iphoto

    Hey experts - I loaded some photos into iphoto and then made a slideshow with music - how do I get the slideshow with the music into my iweb site? Specifically I want it on a particular page but I have come this far and don't know what to do next. Thanks

    JHIN
    Well now you have to export the Slideshow as a Quick time movie, and add that to your iWeb page. How to do? Select the Slideshow in the Source (or Left Hand) pane and go File -> Export. Then complete the export `(after deciding size etc.) and you can then bring that movie to your iWeb site.
