Newbie to BI Publisher..preview report giving error msg in word 2007..

Hi,
I am new to BI Report. I have installed BI Publisher standalone 10.3.4.1..Generated sample XML file...created report on Bi Publisher and now when I try to do preview it gives me an error message saying that I need to check the path of the file
'D:\Documents and Settings\swatee.jain\Local Settings\Application Data\Oracle\BIPublisher\TemplateBuilderforWord\tmp\441274806764750out.rtf'.
When I go to this location and click on the rtf file..I see my report...Am I missing some word setting....I am not able to generate any BI report...Any help would be appreciated...

We found out what the problem is.
The report was using a wizard table, the table had 8 columns that actually went past the margins of the page. The built in renderer for PDF in the BI publisher desktop does not fail, but the report columns do "fall" off the page when you look close, just by a few characters on the last column but the line making the box around the table IS still printed making the last few characters missing difficult to notice.
The BI Publisher render simply throws the error above and fails.
We removed 2 columns, made sure the report stays in the margins of the report and all works well now.

The corresponding entry MAC is available in the following
file:
<User>/Library/Preferences/Contribute 4.1 preferences.
Please open this file and search for the following entry,
"cps notification repsonse timeout" This is under the
[SETTINGS] in the file.
Please note that this entry gets created only when some
actions (for example Publish) are performed after connecting to CPS

Making field input editable after giving error msg from table event 01

Hi All,
I have a requirement of giving error msg and making that row or the particular field input editable by writing code in table event 01 i.e before saving any record in a z-table i have to chk some condition for a column value and if that condition fails then i have to give error msg and make that column input editable.
I have created a routine for event 01 and written the code to give error msg. But my problem is that column is not becoming input editable. Could you pls tell me how can i make that field editable?

Print preview report running error in client workstation

dear all,
I face an issue in preview report in client,
The report is write in store procedure, using crystal report for the designer. I use OLEDB SQL native clilent.
My report is running well in server
the server os is windows server 2003 , SQL server 2008, SAP Business One 8.81 PL4,Australia localization.
But the problem is on the client work station, it can not preview. some clients only install pure SAP Business one client and using the windows 7.
I also run in windows XP client workstation, it runs well.
Should i install crystal report in client workstation?
Is there any driver or crystal report runtime that i must install first in client ?
Please provide me the link that i can download.

75% of overhead to be loaded on WIP. System giving error: Msg No. KJ333

Hello Experts,
We are executing WIP (TCode: KKAX). We have load only 75% of the overhead. Hence for this, we have maintained 3 things ReqToCap - OVH,
OptToCap - OVH and % OvhToCap as 75%.
However, system is giving error. Refer Screenshot KKAX Error - 1. Refer my setting Screenshot - KKAX Config1
Since it was multiple assignment error, I tried removing "ReqToCap" It gave me other error. Refer Screenshot KKAX Config2
Please help me, how to achieve this requirement.

Import logo using RSTXLDMC prg giving error msg like

I am importing logo(tif format)
by using RSTXLDMC program, it's giving error mesage "TIFF format error: No baseline TIFF 6.0 file"

program: RSTXLDMC , upload .tiff file from C drive . ( type = BMON/ BCOL , text id = ST ..., text = name..so10) INCLUDE name OBJECT ID STANDARD in layout set window .
Save a Logo using Paintshop Pro or Corel Draw as Tiff file. Use RSTXLDMC to convert the logo to standard text in SapScript. When the program is executed, the path and file name have to be correctly specified.
Process could be like the following:
Run RSTXLDMC
Enter file name C:\MAIL\COMPLOGO.TIF
Resolution for Tiff file
Absolute X-position
Absolute Y-position
Absolute positioning
Reserved height
Shift to right
UOM = CM
Text title
Line width for text = 132
Text name ZHEX-MACRO-COMPLOGO
Text ID ST
Text language = E
Postscript scaling
Width & Height according to PS scaling
Number of Tiff gray levels (2,4,9) 2
Then Create a new window 'COMP' with attributes;
Window COMP description Company Logo
Window type CONST

Finally in the text element , mention

Please note that if object name is not indicated as 'ZHEX...', the logo may not be printed!
You will not be able to see the logo in a test print. The same will be printed in actual printout.
If you are using two logos in the same layout, the names of the logos should be unique. Say 'ZHEX-MACRO-LOGO1' and 'ZHEX-MACRO-LOGO2'. Else all the information will be overwritten.
If the logo is not EXACTLY TIFF 6.0 , the same will not be printed.

I'm using the correct apple id/pwd. I get this error msg:
ConnectionManager::invoke::Failed to find service connection url.
Too many tries forced me to change my pwd. Using new pwd, still getting that error msg:
ConnectionManager::invoke::Failed to find service connection url.
Am trying to re-download purchases I lost due to needing to do a clean reinstall to correct some mystery issue. I was able to re-download some such old purchases the other day--but not now.

Gettinn error in Microsoft word 2007

I have word 2007, + bip desktop installed .
After loading the xml , when i click on the create chart from the Add-ins tool
Oracle Bi Publisher => insert => chart
it gives me following error
Runtime error 429.
Activex component cant create object.
Anyone faced it ?

None of the new options like,
repeating group, condition works,
it gives the above error,
and does it have something to do with .Net runtime ?
i have 2.0 beta installed with me.

BUG: preview report template errors with ORA-01002

I've checked on my local install and on apex.oracle.com. I go into the Templates of Shared Components and filter on the Report Templates. Although the preview icon is displayed to allow me to preview the template, I always receive "ORA-01002: fetch out of sequence" on an error page. The only types of Report Templates I have are of type "Generic Columns" so not sure if the problem exists with "Named Columns."
Can anyone confirm this or correct me on this?

I wouldn't mind piggy-backing this to ask if the Report Template "shortcut" links at the top of the page can be updated to account for all sections that are now a part of the Report Template. "Before Each Row" and "After Each Row" sections are not listed in the shortcuts. There are also two shortcuts listed as "Before" and "After" which should probably be relabeled.

Scheduled discoverer report giving error

Hi All,
I am facing a problem where in I have scheduled a report. The table populated after scheduling is fetching data but when we try to open the scheduled report it gives an error ' Inconsistent datatype expected number got date '.
We are using a function in the report which fetches a date colomn and return type of that date used is Varchar(2). We also tried using the return type as date but same error comes.
An early response will be highly appriciated.

i have similar problem - i have some calculated columns in the report.....when i schedule it the values in one column are getting populated in the other column.....if i run the report manually i did not have any problem.
i had a small calculation for a column (date)....user wanted to see it in a different format in the report.....
already that column was existing in the folder but in a different format......but upon users request i just put up a small calculation for that...........
i scheduled the report and ironically only that calculated column (date) was getting populated wrong........so i pulled the normal date column from the folder..........and now i have two columns for date (1-calculated, 2 - from folder)..........1st column is anyhow getting populated wrong....but the 2nd column was pretty good........
many of you might know....."*IDLE MAN'S BRAIN IS A DEVILS WORKSHOP*"....
i formatted the 1st column with white color and kept the background color also as white......so that when the user opens the scheduled report.....he will see only a blank white column for the 1st column............i told him to export it to excel and then delete that blank column and save your excel output..
i know this is the worst solution or idea anyone can get.........but i had to do it.

Report giving error when scheduled in background (ABAP/4 processor:PERFORM)

I have written a custom program and iam not able schedule in background, if check in SM37 the job getting canceleld and found as the error ABAP/4 processor: PERFORM_NOT_FOUND.

Working on WAD Giving error msg :Empty Demarcation

Hi Experts,
I am working on WAD i have 3 variables they are not mandatory if i don't give one of the variables in the WAD report it is giving msg "Empty Demarcation " if i give the values in that variable the report is displaying .. and with out variable also report is coming but displaying as "Empty demarcation" can any body have any idea how to suppress this msg.

We Tried that Option also it is totally disabling the variable .if i don't use that variable it is ok .No problem but if i entered any value in that variable still it is disable ....It is suposed to display that value in the report.... so finally this solution is not working.
I know it is not an error it is system generated msg .but user don't want to display that msg.
if you have any other solution please let me know.
