Newbie: trouble creating an eventlister

This code below gives this compile error:
The class or interface 'MouseEvent' could not be loaded.
function btnTest_Click(eventObject:MouseEvent)
trace("Test");
btnTest.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,btnTest_Click);
any suggestions?

You were using AS3 code, your solution is AS2 code.
Just mentioning for the sake of someone who might have the
same problem and look here for a solution.
