Newby: How to send pictures?
When I try to send pictures, up pops a "contacts" window that is blank. Can't figure out how to populate this. Seems like I ought to be able to see my contact list......

You aren't following what we are saying...
You are trying to send to a BlackBerry Messenger contact. Apparently, you don't have any BlackBerry Messenger contacts. BlackBerry Messenger is a separate type of instant message application on the BlackBerry ONLY for communication between BlackBerry users.
IF you want to email the picture, choose the option to send to email...

I need to know either how to connect my camera, a SONY SteadyShot DSC-W310 to my Dell laptop and then how to send pictures via my e-mail or else how to login as an administrator so I can download the handbook that came with my camera on a CD and hopefully find the answer there. Go to Settings>Messages and be sure MMS Messaging is set to On. Then tap the media button (see image below) and either take a photo or choose an existing photo or video you want to send. Note: your messaging plan with your carrier must include MMS messaging in order to do this.

I am legally blonde and not very tech savvy, so I don't really know how to do that. I know ur time is valuable, so could u possibly give me a short tutorial? I would b very grateful! I use the camera kit to get my pics from my sd card to my iPad and also from my iPhone to my iPad. Had I known I would have this problem, I would not have transferred my pics to my iPad until after I took the sd card and had my pics printed.

You can use Bluetooth, or messaging, email, direct wifi with SuperBeam, NFC, SmartShare....many ways. Go to the gallery and tap the photo you want to share. Tap the share button and a list will pop up of ways to send.

Airdrop is the best answer for sending photos between iOS devices.
For iOS to Mac and vice versa, an app called Instashare is quite good, and works a bit like Airdrop (you send the photos from the app, and run instashare on the device you want to send to)
I hope in time Apple will support Airdrop on mac, too.

How to send pictures from cell phones to Mac?
I have a LG VX8300 from verizon. I am wondering how i can send the pictures i have taken from the phone to my computer.
Use BlueTooth assistant (from the pane in System Preferences) to pair your 'phone if you haven't already done it.
Easiest way is turn BT on in your 'phone, open BlueTooth File Exchange (in the Utilities folder) on the Mac, press the "Browse" button to connect it up to the 'phone.
Then navigate to the folder containg the pictures on the 'phone, select them and press the Get button to transfer them over to your Mac. -

Can you describe exactly the steps you are taking to make the attempt? And exactly what the result is?
For instance, on mine, I'd go to (from the homescreen)
Media > BBKey > Explore > navigate to pic and highlight (but not click) > BBKey > Send as MMS
But that also will only work if I have MMS service on my account with my carrier. So, please provide more details.
