Newby question - extending to Adobe Reader

This is the first form that I've made using LC DS. The form has multiple signatures. The signatures do not lock the form.
However in Adobe Reader all of them are disabled. What am I doing wrong?

You cannot digitally sign a PDF with Reader UNLESS the PDF has been "Reader Extended". This can be done using LiveCycle ES2 Reader Extensions (server product) or Acrobat Professional X (File > Save As > Reader extended PDF)

Questions in upgrading Adobe Reader

I have to upgrade latest version of Adobe Reader in thousands of PC, by deployment in Group Policy Management, Those PC has different version (e.g. 5.0 to 9.0). The problem is, the new version is deployed and installed, the older version still exist. Do anyone got solution on remove older version automatically? thanks!!!

Adobe Reader 11.0.06 installed and worked fine on my Mavericks 10.9.1. You should not have an open Safari browser during the actual install.
Have you used Disk Utility to verify/repair your file permissions?

Need newest version of Adobe Reader, basic download question

Newby here, I have Adobe reader 10.1.5, my back office is telling me I need to be sure I have the latest version, I see 11.0.01, do I just go ahead and download that or do I need to remove 10.1.5 first?
I use Windows 7 home, on a Lenova.

I am now trying to install and I'm getting an error message:
Error 1311, Source file not found - gives the file path, then says to verify the file exists and that I can access it.
I have not a clue as to what to do, any help is appreciated.

Can't open adobe reader in safari on my Macbook

When I click on a link to open a pdf document while on the internet, a new tab opens in safari and begins to load but freezes up. The only way I've been able to view the document is to actually right click and download it onto my computer. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling adobe but the problem persists. The weird thing was before I downloaded adobe I was able to open up pdf documents on safari using "Preview" program that comes with my Mac. Now even when I've uninstalled adobe, I still can't get the page to load. See below for a visual. Another strange thing to note is this does not happen to all pdf documents I try to open in safari, occasionally I get lucky and am able to load them to completion and view online, but most of the time it does not load. I've googled, attempted adobe help menu, even call the apple store but nobody has been able to solve this issue. Please help, thank you!

Adobe Reader version 7.1.0 will not install

Hi all,
I am bringing up a new Discovery server and working through the SAP Discovery System Quick Guide. My question is that Adobe Reader version 7.0.9 is no longer available and version 7.1.0 will not launch.
Has anyone seen an issue with this? When I run the Adobe Reader installer, it fails with no error. There are no messages in the event log either.
Looking through troubleshooting guides, it appears that version 7.x is mandatory and there are errors if only 8.x is installed.
I've searched the forums with no luck. Thanks in advance for your help.

Adobe Reader Installation problem

Originally I got this error message:
"Error 1321. The installer has insufficient privileges to modify the file C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\Browser\nppdf32.dll"

At least this time the sub directories "Adobe\Reader 11.0" exist, but below them is another - empty - directory "Reader", and nothing else. I'd appreciate more help,

Adobe Reader 8 won't start in "hand tool" mode

I have Adobe Reader 8.1.3 on Vista Home Premium.
The program will not start in 'hand tool' reading mode, it always starts in 'select tool' mode and I have to change it manually. If I quit reader after switching it to 'hand tool' mode, it does not remember, and next time starts in 'select tool' mode again.
In Edit -> Preferences -> General -> Basic Tools, the only Hand- or Select-tool checkbox that is checked is "Make Hand Tool Read Articles".
Based on a similar question in the Adobe Reader Unix forum (http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3c055988) I fould all the instances of registry key "aDefaultSelect" that I could (4 of them) and changed their values from "Select" to "Hand".
However this did not solve the problem!
Any help would be much appreciated.

Does anyone know how to clear the fields between uses of a form used in Adobe Reader on an iPhone?

The iPhone app for Adobe Reader is automatically saving the form each time it is filled out. (Windows Adobe Reader does not do this.) This means that you have to manually clear each field before you can use the form again. Does anyone know a work-around?

Is the Adobe Digital Edition (e-reader from the library) compatible with Adobe Reader X

I have Adobe Reader X on my computer, and recently downloaded the Adobe Digital Edition so that I can read books from the library. However, when I attempt to download a book, the Adobe Reader X opens, and I get the message....
XXXX book could not be opened because it is either not a supported file or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't properly decoded). Any idea what is going on and how I can correct this issue?

Fillable forms with radio buttons (Using Adobe Reader X)

I have two questions: First question, I have a fillable form with "yes" and "no" radio buttons. Currently the radio defaults to answer "yes", but I would like both the "yes" and "no" fields to be empty, which would allow the user to select an answer on his or her own. Second question, is there a way to make an answer required before moving on to the next question?

You need to check and make sure that the options for each radio button do not have the "Button is checked by default" selected.
You can make all the following answer radio buttons "read only" and only after one of the choices for the preceding question has been answered are the radio buttons for the next question are write enabled.
You will need Acrobat to create the form.

Why does Adobe Reader constantly crash on Mac Yosemite?

I have tried deleting and reinstalling and still Adobe Reader and still cannot open any PDFs. The document briefly flashes and then an error message says to reopen. I have not been able to find any solution and cannot access any of my PDF files.

How come on my iMac, Adobe reader installer keeps popping up?

I just got CC with Acrobat XI. Is there any reason to keep Adobe Reader XI on my system?

I just purchased creative cloud, but I don't have much space left on my hard drive so I'm looking to free up some room. My question is, does Adobe Reader do anything that Adobe Acrobat can't do, or is Reader only a read-only subset of the features included in Acrobat? That would be ideal, as then I can uninstall Reader and just do everything from the Acrobat XI.

You'll probably free up a lot more space with a deep disk cleanup than what Reader takes up.

My adobe reader adds words when it reads to back me.

Every time it reads the novels I write back to me it adds words like zero degrees about every twenty words it reads. Can I stop it doing that?

Adobe reader does not enable drm password check

I am student from university of phoenix and recently I bought a galaxy tab. For the purpose of reading my pdf files, but as I downloaded my files it did not let me put my password to access the file. The file is DRM protected by Vitrim systems, and my question is: is their anyway to enable password check to acces it?

I found that pdf reader pro for ipad works for this option, an it lets you enables the option to enter authentication for your password and user name (DRM). Its been a couple of days and no answer for my question. Conclusion adobe reader for android not the best option, I may sell my android tablet and buy an ipad.
