Newest cards gives the highest limits, what about old card limits?

I remember having to basically beg for a lender to give me a chance when I started my credit rebuilding journey. Citi was the first one to take a risk on me and gave me a 1k credit limit. 7 years later I don't have any problems getting approved. Each card I'm approved for gives me a higher credit limit than the previous.  My CL on most of my cards were around 3-5k until a year ago, when PNC approved me for 10k. Then Chase gave me an 11k Sapphire, then Citi gave me a 15.5k prestige... then today Chase gave me a 27k Ritz. So my question is this... all those cards I've had that were 3 - 5k, that have auto increased throughout the years to 5 - 7k... will they ever auto match my highest CL or at least come close to it? I've put them away for now because I like having the larger limit + rewards in my wallet. What are your experiences with your older cards once you get higher limit ones. Do they ever get resurrected or do they remain in the sock drawer for eternity?

Like many on this board, my CLs have increased substantially over time, and I've been able to request increases on my older cards to keep up. I've gotten (usually at my request) an increase at some point on almost every card in my signature. My BofA card is my first trade line and it's at 24x its original limit of $500. With that said, I've had actually very few auto increases over the years, and the ones I have had were small. It's common to get huge jumps in CL by requesting, but from my experience and reading others posts on this forum, auto CLI tend to be in the three or low four figures. so my bottom line is that it's very possible but you'll have to ask (nicely).
If you're okay with some hard pulls, go request some increases on your other, older cards. I might start with looking at which banks don't already have a lot of exposure to you. So, Chase might not be the best candidate since you have nearly $40,000 across two cards with them, but another provider might. Best of luck to you!

  • Documentation says not to use Commits inside the FM in the actions.. what about BAPI Commits?

I see in the customization documentation that we should not be using Commit statements in the FMs inside the Actions.. what about when we're calling BAPIs and they require a BAPI commit call?
    thanks,
    Robert

    Hi Robert,
For BAPIs you need to set the commit level in the action definition as for function modules. SAP help portal provides following information about BAPIs and COMMIT WORK:
"The BAPI transaction model must afford the user explicit transaction control. Therefore, if several BAPIs are called together, the caller can decide him/herself when to execute a COMMIT WORK (or, as the case may be, a ROLLBACK WORK). This means that BAPIs themselves cannot (generally) execute a COMMIT WORK command."
I hope this infomration can help
    Best wishes

    Sorry, you can't add info.
The only way I see that you can resolve this problem is that you need to uninstall the What About:... Add-on. See the instructions below:
In order to uninstall a possibly unwanted extension (addon), please do the following:
#Click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]] and choose Add-ons.
#Once the Add-on Manager has opened in a new tab, click the ''Extensions'' button on the left side of the window.
#You should now see a list of your installed extensions on the right side together with buttons on the right side of each extension.
#To remove an extension from Firefox, simply click the Remove button. You should see a message that informs you about the successful removal of the add-on.
#Note that some add-ons require a Firefox restart to be removed completely. To perform a Firefox restart after the add-on removal, click the ''Restart now'' link in the message.
You can find further information about uninstalling extensions in the following articles:
    *[[Disable or remove Add-ons]]
*[[Remove a toolbar that has taken over your Firefox search or home page]]

  • Wireless card, will this work? What about extender antenna?

I found this on eBay, will it work on a Lombard, or Wallstreet, using OS9? Anybody using one?

Anybody use one of those extender antennas? Which ones would work?
      Mac OS X (10.4.3)

    sludgedragon,
The WiFi PC cards using the Orinoco chipset is the same chipset used in the original AirPort card (802.11b). According to Apple, if you are running OS 9.2.2, you can install AirPort 2.0.4 and have full compatibility.
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=120120
However, I cannot say the card you referenced from Enterasys with added features and updated firmware will still work with Apple's AirPort software. The ad does say it comes with a CD containing software for all OSes and also various versions of firmware.
It should work just fine on a Wallstreet or Lombard. There is also iOXperts wireless driver which supports it and many other cards.

  • HT203905 When family organizer updates payment credit card, members of family still only see old card on file. Payment declines with no other options!

When I wish to update an app or purchase an app on my iPhone, i get the message that Verification is required. next I am presented with entering the 4 digit security code for a credit card whose complete number is greyed out except last four digits. I can see itnis the old expired creit card. My Famiiy Organizer/husband has since updated that credit card, but I have no ability to sync up to the new credit card number. Shouldn't my family organizer payment updates immediately trickle down to the members of the family? I am locked out of purchases (even mere app updating), because I have no control over changing my own payment methods. I'm not asking to have my own separate card on file (as many support discussions reveal); I am simply trying to sync up to my family organizers payment method. It didn't automaitcally update member devices. I tried to update my own payment in SETTINGS, but its all greyed out since I am not the family Organizer. Talk about going in circles! I have 50 apps that I cannot update. Help!

You can create an App store account without a credit card, however that won't help you with updating your previous purchases. Apps are DRM protected, and tied to the account that was used to originally purchase them. There is no way to overcome this DRM protection or transfer them to another account(Itunes support can if you contact them). If you want to create an App store account without a credit card, follow the directions here, but bear in mind the DRM protection mentioned. If you use this account to download free apps, you will have to use this same account for all future updates:

  • What about a Windows limited user ?

    Hello everybody,
I saw that the ODBC driver is installed on a path containing the name of the Windows user who installed it.
I should like to verify one thing : can it be installed by a limited user ? If not, does the limited user use it in the path that was given for the administrator ?
This morning I wrote a question in another forum to know how to get the installation path from a script. I wonder whether I should have precised this question according to what I just asked above.

The problem also exists with the newer Firefox 4.0.1 and Java 1.6.0_25 versions.
Enabling administrative rights resolves the issue ... though this defeats the purpose of using a limited user.
The underlying bug appears to be in the Firefox java plugin detection code. The issue is related to the detection code requiring write access to the HKLM\SOFTWARE\mozilla.org windows registry key. The limited user only has read access for this registry key. The behaviour was identified using the Sysinternals ProcessMonitor utility ... showed firefox calling an interface to create the registry key and getting an access denied response in the limited user case.
A more targeted workaround for the issue is to grant the limited user write access on the HKLM\SOFTWARE\mozilla.org windows registry key. This avoids the need to grant administrative rights to the user and enables the java plugin to be detected. That is, it works on the 2 XP systems where the java plugin wasn't being detected in limited user accounts.

  • So I've bought a new pc and have HomeShared all my music/apps from the old to the new iTunes.  When I plug my phone into the new computer, what will happen?  I just want to be sure my contacts/calenders will be the same.  What about the music/apps?

I have no problem resorting the apps and losing the playlists from the other iTunes.  I just want to be sure nothing will be lost.

I would suggest backing up your iphone before doing anything. You can do that by right-clicking on the name of your iphone from the source list on the left side of itunes.

  • When I attempt to download the lastest OS iPhone update to iTunes, the file is too large for my internet carrier will allow.  My max is 400 MB and the file is what about 583 MB?  Options?  The same is true for the iTunes updates.

When I attempt to download the lastest version of the iphone 4 OS update or the itunes one for the desktop, the file is too large for my internet carrier.  It will allow only a 400 MB download versus the download size of 583 MB.  Suggestions?

You can download on your work computer, then place the file on your desktop of your home computer, if you want. Then:
    Launch iTunes
Option+Click (Mac OS X) or Shift+Click (Windows) the Update button
Select the IPSW update file you just placed on your desktop
Let iTunes update your hardware to the latest version
The .ipsw file is located here:
    Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates
    Windows Vista & Windows 7: \Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates
You will have to turn on "Show All Hidden Files & Folders" to see it.

  • Ipad 1 what about old map app

I understand that I have to stay with ios 5.1.1 and therefore will not get the new apple apps but I did not get the affect for my current map and youtube app.

Since a vast majority of apps don't support iPad 1 OS 5.1.1 what am I left to do besides invest another $500 in a new or used device. iPad 1 was my first attempt to explore the buzz about a proud American company's state of the art products. Very disappointed that my device went from that point to essentially useless in 3 years. I've read the "all tech ends up like this" threads & find those responses insulting. I invested in a product & a company that had a stellar reputation & I'd like to believe there's more to this situation than just tough luck buddy.
Your complaint is not with Apple or the device, your complaint is with the application developers. The applications that you generally use on a device are not developed by, nor are they maintained by Apple. They are developed by and maintained by 3rd party developers and other major software companies. It is their decision what versions of iOS they decide to support as they update their devices. In attempts to save money, many of them discontinue support for older iOS versions, and/or do not have their current versions support older iOS.
Hop on to one of their support forums and ask them why they no longer provide an application that supports the iOS that your iPad runs. See what kind of answer they provide.

  • Looking for Dockable Case, What about old Docking Station from ipod?

    Hey everyone,
You must know by now that most plastic cases wont let you dock your ipod because the new docking station is too tight. Has anyone tried using the old dock from the video ipod or older and than docking with a plastic case? If so, what's a good case to buy to protect from dropping which would fit in the old docking stations?

I just bought a Speck Toughskin, which I really like. It feels pretty rugged and seems like it would protect the iPod if I dropped it (I'm a klutz). It has a detachable belt clip on the back. I also like the hard screen protector--it has a little rubber rim on the bottom so it doesn't actually touch the screen, which should keep it from getting scratched. My only concern is how well the iPod will dissipate heat while charging, but I figure I can punch a few small holes in the back if it becomes an issue.
The only downsides to this particular case are that you cannot put it in a dock, it does bulk up the iPod a bit, and it completely covers the iPod so it's not the best choice for someone that wants to maintain the standard appearance of their iPod. But for good solid protection, it seems pretty hard to beat (no pun intended).
